i mean as far as it goes its okay to look at

but id be blind and stupid if i didnt admit the anatomy is waaay off.

for example the tits????
i know they wouldnt look like that given her position ....

but i cant figure out the proper placement :{

if someone could redline her body the way its SUPPOSED to look
instead of this .... w/e it is that would be great.

also, does anyone know anything about elbows?

i find myself really lacking in the department of making them look real and or 3d or w/e???

actually arms in general i have a big problem shading
tips and pointers would be <3333

(links to tutorials would be rad too ty)

The ribs seem correct, it's just not my bag.

If you are going for the emaciated look, I think her shoulders are too beefy. Seems to me that someone with ribs that visible would have less meat on her arms.

I think this could have looked better with the inclusion of that hand that goes behind the hip; it just seems awkward that it disappears like that. As for the chest area - I don't think there's a whole lot terribly wrong with the breasts, they just seem flat because of the pattern on the bikini. That said, the way the little string in the middle hangs is kind of weird to me - like, it should be taut or something. That's nitpicking, though.

9/10 times the hands i draw ruin the picture :{

but i agree
if i could draw them and well they would have looked nice in the picture

sometimes just hinting at the hands is a lot better than forcing them to hide behind the figure. oftentimes people notice that a lot more than having hands that looks a little weird or out of proportion.

i think just omitting the two lines that outline the ribs would give it a softer feel. your coloring already hints at the ribs and having the additional lines there gives the feeling of having her a little too angular. i guess you could also lighten up the coloring of the ribs if you wanted to keep the lines...but it definitely feels like a case of 'either or' from my perspective.

the bikini feels a little weird to me because of the line that attaches the two sides are droopy. it gives me the impression that they're made of a hard material like plastic or that she's wearing something that's too large and/or didn't really adjust her bikini to fit her. another thing that's giving the flatness would be the fact that the bikini cup line and her breasts share the same line (especially the one that's pointing outwards). it might be good to exaggerate that a little by having the bikini be a tad thicker and therefore have it's own outward line instead of sharing it with the rest of the silhouette. but that's a matter of style if you want to keep with the flatness (it's not a bad thing) and having it be more stylized.

i like your style though :3

Learn to draw people by drawing from life.

Failing that,

Use reference.

What you have right now, is only a very basic understanding of actual human anatomy. You have been looking at all your favorite artists, seeing certain shapes, and replicating them without actually understanding whats really going on.

Understanding the human form doesn't have anything to do with always drawing realistically (which is the hardest point to get through to the anime is the medium of the second coming crowd), and has everything to do with understanding enough so that you can logically abstract towards the vision you have in your head. The best anime artists know anime as well as anyone.

I have no specific anatomical critique because telling you that X proportion is wierd would do you a disservice. Learning what you did wrong from practice is the best way.

Other than that, you have this wierd Liefeld 'hide the limbs' type thing going on. You are never going to get better at drawing hands if you don't draw hands.

No actually i look at my own body and try to draw from that for anatomy, truth be told

i dont like this assumption that i havent tried to use a reference,
it must mean that my translating it from image to art must be really bad

gonk gonk gonk

oh god

crying

and i agree about the hands thing im trying to like
look at one of those signlanguage alphabets i hear those are good for practise

The ribs remind me of what the Nazis did. They made their victims look like alive skeletons. The hips could use a dash of meat too. Everything else seems fine.

Her stomach could use more definition of muscles
Right now the dip below the ribs completes the circle and makes it look like she has a fat stomach
