Okay, it would seem that I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands as of right now.
You see, I recently got permission from my parents to dye my short hair pink, and I am planning to dye my hair the day before I move later this month (I already bought the hairdye). I understand that the main idea of lolita is to look natural and innocent, but is there any way to have oddly colored hair and still look loli?
If push comes to shove, I'll probably choose the pink hair and risk not looking entirely "authentic", but I would like to know what your opinion is and if you have any tips that might help it look better.

You can still pull the style with that color. Of course we we knew how your hairstyle looks like, it would really help.

Well, I'm more than a little bad with computers, so I'm not really sure how to post pictures of myself on Gaia. Would a link to my myspace work? I already have some pics posted there.

There are a good number of lolitas who have their hair dyed "unnatural colors" and it really depends on the quality of the dyejob. I've seen several girls who looked awesome, and at least two who looked like they just had some funky colored mold growing in their hair.
If it's smooth and even all across your head and not the mottled, patchy look a lot of temporary dyes cause, it's fine. It may make it harder to coordinate an outfit, since you suddenly have something that isn't a neutral jumping into the picture right off the bat, but that's ok so long as you know what you're doing.

Candied Rose I hope you mean light pink, not hott pink. Light pink just looks better. Yup, it's light pink! I can't stand hot pink, so I wouldn't want it on my hair.

If I get their permission, I'm going to be using the color "Pretty Flamingo" from www.manicpanic.com I've used their hairdye before and I was very happy with the results, but it's only semi-permanent and fades quickly without proper care. Good luck! 3nodding ( I haven't used this color before, so I don't know how bright it will turn out. If the pink is still too bright after you do it, try washing your hair every day until it fades to a lighter shade. )

Personally I don't like Lolita with unnatural hair color. Unless its going to match your outfit, then it can look nice but otherwise it throws it off. I had my hair pink too actually, only parts of it. So it looked kind of ridiculous whenever I wore dark colors, since I mostly have just black and white clothes for Lolita. Like you said, Lolita is natural.
But don't let my opinion sway you. Just as another said before, I've seen Lolita look really nice with dyed hair..others, not really.

You make a very good point and I actually agree with you as far as unnatural colors throwing an outfit off. I don't have any matching outfits yet, but I hope to get some soon. I was thinking of maybe buying a normal-color wig or two to wear with lolita so that I don't clash, but I'm still working on getting money for them.

I was going to do that myself actually, if I were to get a job while having pink hair

Light pink would be lovely, but I think all pastel colours would look nice, especially with Sweet Lolita. =3
