The skies above swirled with angry looking clouds, which seemed about ready to spout down a few layers of snowfall. While everyone shuffled down the sidewalk all bundled in their winter garb, one figure seemed to stand out. Nero was plodding along idly, scanning the shop windows uncertainly. The cold seemed to have some effect on him, his cheeks having taken on a rosy sort of glow, however his clothes didn't fully show this. He was clad in a hoodie that seemed to provide little shelter from the cold- it was black, rather thin, and only came to about the bottom of his chest. The arms were decorated with colorful twine designs, which matched the multi-colored striped shirt that lay underneath the sweatshirt. This didn't go very far, either, leaving a stretch of his rather effeminate middle exposed. Low on his hips rested a pair of jean capris, a black studded belt tightly set around his waist. He also decided to wear shoes, thank God, his usual pair of shabby black sneakers. His fresh piercings were all in today, and his collar was tight at his throat, as per usual. Not that he could change that one, ever. He felt the tracking device pulse against his throat.

And yet the cold didn't seem to bother him in the least- it was hard to the weather to sink in through his ridiculously thick skin. He could feel a bit of a n**, but not much more. No need to wear all of that heavy stuff everyone else did.. The teen stopped awkwardly before a clothing store, staring at it with a tilted head. He had managed to sneak off from D-Corp once again, and now the shrimp found himself window shopping. He had never really gone shopping before- Axel had never taken him, and 247 brought him his first day with D-Corp so as to replace all of his old and lost clothes. Now he had a few things.. But not much... He truly did need to buy a few things, and had the money, however...

Nero knew nothing about this stuff. His lips formed into a pout as an extra leg scratched the back of his head- carefully so as not to disturb his hair too much. He had spiked up in the back today, after all. It was hard enough to do with claws in the first place, and impossible to fix.

He let out a deep sigh.

"I hope that it snows." Ligeia said, looking over at Vorel who was walking along at his side. The pair were looking up at the sky instead exactly paying attention to where they were going. Luckily for them though everyone else seemed more then happy to get out of the way of the large Frost Dragon. Both were also oblivious to any looks that they were getting, Vorel just because of what he was and Ligeia for his mode of dress. Everyone else was out and about bundled up and he was in his normal garb which consisted of a tank top, a skirt with shorts under it, and his sandals which he only wore since flying was out of the question until his wing healed fully.

Summer clothing in the Winter didn't bother the owl in the least given he was a snowy weather animal, same with Vorel both were quite comfortable in the present conditions.

"Would be nice." Vorel said in his rough, draconic. He hoped that the clouds would open up and drop some snow. It would give him and Ligeia something to play hide and seek in again, it had been far to long since they had gotten to play that game! His tail set to swishing as his simple mind thought over the fun he'd had in one of his classes where he was learning hunting skills.

The owl boy paused to look at his reflection in a store window then gave a bit of a sigh, "My hair is a mess." He murmured. Having such long hair just didn't seem to coincide with a broken arm. It made it so difficult to take care of it. He spent an idle moment considering a hair cut before shaking his head. His arm would heal faster then his hair would grow would after all. He blinked when he saw another reflection in the glass, from another shop across the way. He turned around and tilted his head, he'd seen that person before somewhere... maybe it was when everyone was gathering at D-corp when the dragons were rebelling? Most likely time he would have run across him and not been able to say anything to him.

"Wanna go visit?" He asked of Vorel, pointing to where the scorpion was standing.

Vorel looked then gave a nod of his head, always for meeting new people.

Once it was decided the pair set to crossing over to where Nero was standing.

Normally the teen would prove too deep in thought to notice the others' approach, and yet one would truly have to be in a coma to not notice a large dragon coming towards you. Especially if you were staring right at their reflection. The scorpion felt his heart begin to race slightly, his natural fear of dragons kicking in for a moment or so. No reason to fear, he mused to himself. This dragon was probably with another kid.. And maybe he wouldn't be scary. Maybe he would be nice. He swallowed down the lump in his throat and turned expectantly, naturally wide eyes falling first on the dragon. His gaze then shifted to its partner, and an uncertain smile tugged at the shrimpy teen's lips. "H-hello." He greeted, in his naturally stuttered form. He must not have been too nervous, or else forming just that simple word would have proved much harder. He straightened himself, which didn't give him much more height- or really any at all.

He examined the pair with his curious, naturally innocent-seeming eyes, head cocking itself to the side and his lips pursing slightly. Something inside of him was clicking- did he know these two? At least the kid, he must have met him before. He was obviously another D-Corp experiment, and seemed around the same age as him. His extra legs fidgeted uncertainly, and then the pink stain in his cheeks darkened slightly when he noticed he was just standing there all silent-like. "O-oh." He stammered out, "Y-you... Look r-r-really familiar." A brow arched slightly, arms folding themselves behind his back. "H-have I s-seen you a-around b-before...?" When had that been...?

The lad took a moment to ponder, and came to remember the large group during the dragon rebel. Ohhh yeah... This guy had been with Chath, hadn't he...? Nero couldn't quite remember. His injections from D-Corp were starting to make his memories fuzzy. "W-well, I-I'm Nero." He offered, hoping they hadn't truly met before. That would make things awkward for the orphan and this fellow experiment. He would hate to admit he forgot meeting someone he might have met long ago. He couldn't help but shoot a nervous look towards the dragon. He didn't remember that one.. But then again, now that he lived in the D-Corp building, he observed dragons of all kinds. The worst to watch was his own. His extra legs folded over his belly now, almost in an uncertain or self-conscious manner. He was truly embarrassed. How could he not know this guy? He lived at D-Corp now. He should know everyone.

"Hello." Ligeia responded back, smile spreading over his lips. Good, it seemed as this guy were friendly enough he thought to himself, "Heh, I was actually thinking the same thing. I am pretty sure we have crossed paths at some point before though I am not sure if we have ever talked. I'm Ligeia and this is my partner Vorel." He pointed his good hand over at the Frost dragon.

Vorel gave a nod of his head, sitting down along side his boy and then greeted Nero as well, "Hello Nero." He said in draconic glad that he was able to pronounce the name right even it were a bit roughly said.

"Vorel says Hello too." Ligeia translated for his dragon, "Its nice to meet you Nero."

Ligeia gave a flap of the wing that wasn't bound and decided he should have had a plan for conversation before approaching Nero but no reason to worry about that now. He had just wanted to say 'Hi' and he figured a conversation would spring up from there. A such the owl asked something that was rather obvious, "You out shopping too?"

"Nice t-to me-meet you, t-too."

Nero eyed the large dragon warily for a moment or so, and then smiled slowly. He didn't have a scary vibe at all- he seemed more like a large, icy puffball. If that made any sense, really. A look of relief also glimmered in his large eyes- "O-oh, your dr-dragon doesn't sp-speak G-gaian y-yet eith-either?" He queried, feeling less like a failure now. No one had been able to get Kei to speak anything other than his natural draconic language as a result of the nasty dragon's petty pride.. And as he came to find tons of other dragons, most of them younger than Kei, could speak almost perfect Gaian he was astounded and ashamed. He had no idea, he had thought it natural.

The scorpion lad shuffled a foot into the snow idly, all traces of shyness gone- although some embarrassment lingered. That was evident in the pink that lingered on his usually solid green face. "Y-yeah... Al-although it's b-been a r-really lo-long time since I-I've shopped f-for myself..." That was an understatement. He coughed and rubbed at the back of his head with an extra leg. "B-but I re-really need s-some new cl-clothes."

He hesitated- "Wh-what about y-you guys? Wh-what are you looking f-for?"

Ligeia looked up at his dragon before giving a shake of his head, "No, Mr. Coleman made it sound like he wouldn't be able to learn Gaian. Thats ok though, since he can't I decided to learn Draconic instead. I wanted to be able to talk to him though I am not very good at it yet." He sounded a bit embarrassed. It was a strange language but he was doing what he could to learn as much of it as he could.

"Shopping is always fun though everything I buy I have to inspect and figure out what on it I would need to alter to be able to wear it." He said, then gave Nero a smile, "But you probably understand how that goes."

"Vorel and I are a mostly just window shopping. We don't need anything at the moment but will probably end up wanting and getting stuff anyway." He said with a bit of a laugh. That was the worst part of going shopping with money you always got something regardless.

Vorel was listening intently to the two boys, deciding that they seemed a bit similar to him for some reason that he couldn't place. He gave a shrug before looking into some of the nearby windows, "Candy would be good." He piped in and his words caused the owl to giggle.
