COLOR ME SHOCKED! Barely even evening and the sky was already as dark as midnight. The sky's cheshire smile beaming down on the solid dirt that Sandelwood stood upon. His head would tilt to the other way of the wind as it tossed his hair about in his face almost. He was quite used to the weather but didn't mean he had to like it. Though something unusually warm about the air made him feel as if he wasn't the only one chasing their tail against the wind.
The ground was damp from all the rain, and the trees rustling about as if they might as well just sit back and watch. Sandel wood smiled lightly and looked around as if hoping to see something. Maybe there was a noise coming from the bushes, or the forest, but even with the wind screaming at you, at least there was always other creatures making their way. With a swish of his tail he turned to try to face something near by, maybe a lost foal, or a friendly being. "Hmm? Is anyone there?"
He expected though to see a frog, or something usual. As much as you wish for something unusual to happen, the suspense is usually not there until proven.

The seemingly entranced mare looked down as she walked. Having never really gotten used to the glowing bracelets fastened to her legs, she was always distracted by them in the darkness. Quietly she crept along, the only noise surrounding her being the jingling of her bracelets and the whistling of the wind.
Stopping momentarily, Midori looked up. She grinned at the unfamilliar Soquili standing alone, staring at him curiously. Knowing she was going to approach whether he looked friendly or not, she canted her head in excitement. Oh how happy she was to not have to spend another night wandering aimlessly and alone.

Sandelwood's eyes met with the mare's. She was certainly something unique. Almost enough to cause him to fall over. He only stepped back. She was dark so the confusion if she was kind or not was there. The nion green with glowing bracelet’s even made him feel curious.
The only thing that kept him from falling back was he had learned to use your hind quarters to fall back on, and that most creatures were just as scared as he was. "Aye!"
He said. It was a bit off, as he was confused by the mare, but also intrigued. Not exactly a filly, was she? Though she reminded him of one. Bashfully his head went down. "I... I mean greetings, y.. you are?"
Most mares came at him with calm serene entrances as he has remembered. The kind of behavior that would smolder your blood in jealousy and desire, yet he could never show it as it was a bold and forward move. She wasn't at all like them. Forward and unusual. "Your personality seems to match your grace." He said. It was to be a compliment. She was bold- in more ways than one. He wanted to scold her for scaring her so suddenly, and also not making sure he was a safe being, but he kept that to himself because she was not a filly either. She was just as energetic as one was all.

Midori thought for a moment. Did he mean 'who are you,' or did he mean 'how are you?' After deciding to go with the latter, even though she knew he meant the other, she spoke. "Me? Why, I'm kind of bored." Grinning, she added, "But I'm called Midori. Who are you?"
Approaching him rather calmly, she examined him. He didn't look to be a threat, and certainly didn't act like one. That was good enough for her.
Upon reaching him, the mare offered a half-smile, which made her look rather cute. She tried to hide that she was happy to be able to examine him more closely.

Sandelwood's eyes fell from the shock that the confusingly toned female was unusually socialable. This was okay though, maybe she was either young, or just- something you can't expect every day. The smile though was at least warming. She could have had fangs, but her sincere calmness about her even around him was much greater than the typical higher-ups, he thought. To talk to someone as an equal instead of someone who was going to throw their foals at you to babysit was interesting. Had he the wings to itch his head though he was. She had to be young, he was certain, but not too young.
"Midori? That's an interesting name, for an interesting lass." He said- with nodding approval. "I am Sandelwood- named after a certain item I would guess. I'd hate to think I'm going to be made into something my two legger would' wear." He laughed shyly, but moved forward, with a turn around- his shoulders parallel to Midori, in offer of a simple walk. A laugh came from him, but he said calmly, "Your smile glows a brighter red that contrasts your green." He was talking metaphorically.
"I would take it that you're a young lover with one who sets this?" He studied her only from the side, the fields of green grass were thick enough to make a playground to walk upon, which he didn't mind. Females when they had someone always had a different act than others. This was even more fun to watch- though he'd never be a father to approve a stallion, others always were graced. Even if it made the clumsy from the front or hind quarters- even dizzy.
He would laugh though seeing the wind blow hard enough that not only was his hair gushing at his own face, but had Midori kept a tail low you could see it almost like green and black wings from the hind. He probably had no room to laugh if he wasn't just chuckling at himself.
