It had been a long day already for Selene, and she was afraid it was going to be even longer. Kishi had been bothering her this morning, even though he already -had- foals, Yue had walked on it, and Selene had discovered- apparently Kishi had hit on her daughter once or twice too! And going by the horrified expression on Yue's face, he'd come closer than she'd known. Kishi looked appropriately horrified, and plead innocence, but with Yue chasing him around the clearing, he'd not had much time to explain.
She was lying, of course, but the look on his face had been worth it- and it was even better knowing she'd gotten that mare-hunting FOOL away from her mother. Selene wasn't stupid, she'd figure it out eventually, but for now Yue played on her mother's instinct to soothe. The mare took full advantage of her act too, getting in all sorts of nasty words and insults telling her opinion of the stallion. Finally she peeked up at Selene and sniffed dramatically. "I don't want to go for that walk after all, momma. Let's just stay here. No one else is around today." She cast an innocent smile her mother's way.
Selene nodded slowly. She was already suspicious, but when Yue called her momma, she knew she was being played. Still, quality time with her daughter, with the ability to be lazy...? "Sure Yue." she agreed easily. Her daughter was so precious to her. She couldn't help but spare a thought to her son, and that Forrest. What had they been up to...?
