No sound was made or blade was broken as the ischa walked among the shrines. None could see him. Only he had the power to make himself visible. The life of a ghost was not a happy one for this particular one. He did enjoy the solitude but he did not enjoy the sunlight of the day. No matter where he seemed to be there was always at least a spot of sunlight there.
This was why he was out walking at night on this particular day. The shrines were a place he visited often as it was quiet and he could enjoy the solitude. There were times that he was in an evil mood wanting to terrorize whomever was around but that was not this night. No. Tonight was a night to just enjoy the quiet and the dark. Perhaps tomorrow night he would have some fun.

Unlike the ghost, the vampire's hooves dusted the ground, creating soft hoofsteps as he weaved through the trees and the two-legged's shrines. The full moon shone down onto the lands below, illuminating everything in a soft glow. His pale coat was better suited to be under the moon; the sun's rays were much too bright and harsh.
He paused momentarily to gaze around him, not seeming to notice the permanent taste and scent of blood on his muzzle. He continued on his way, his slate gray hooves carrying him through the shrines as his long, jet-black tail dragging across the ground, and he glanced up at the moon. He snorted and lowered his gaze to stare forward with his blood-red eyes, his delicate ears picking up the probing, squeak-like sound of the bats above that seemed to follow him always, as they attempted to find their way through the dark night.

Hearing the squeak of bats the ghost let only his red eyes be seen. Bats interrupted the quietness of the night. There goes his solitude time. His wings rustled noiselessly as he made his way to where the sound of the bats came. Only his eyes were showing making them look like two floating red orbs. Coming upon the bats the ischa noticed the nequus for the first time and quickly made his eyes dim and go out as if they hadn't been there at all. He noticed the bats following the other and wondered why they were seemingly attached.

The bats swooped down, their penetrating squeaks driving deep into the Bae's nerves. He growled and bared his fangs, staring up at the irritating flying rats. "Leave me be!" He called up to them in a hiss, pinning his ears back against his head. "For just once in my life, fly away and leave me alone!"
The bats, however, didn't understand. The group continued their sonar chorus and unorganized flight patterns. The vampire sighed, flicking his ears lazily forward and lowered his head. He stopped in mid-stride as he saw the flicker of two red orbs in the darkness of the night. His muscles tensed as he slowly put his hoof back on the ground, staring straight at Vlad, right where the red lights just were. What in the world was that?! He couldn't help but wonder. Where did they come from? However, no one was ever hurt from flickering lights that floated in the distance, so the vampire merely angled his path away from the lights and slowly continued walking. Whatever it was, lights weren't dangerous, and if it sought him out, so be it.

He watched as the other yelled at the bats and felt quick second of pity for him but it quickly dissipated as quickly as it came. Though when the other stared right at him for a moment he thought that his cover had been blown but saw that it hadn't. Grinning to himself he followed the bat boy and wondered if bats had good enough senses to notice him. As he followed the bat boy he found a couple rocks along his way and kicked them as hard as he could so they landed at least near bat boy.

The pale gray stallion let out an irritated snort as he continued on his way, giving his lengthy, pitch-black tail a flick. He pinned his ears back against his skull, his thoughts wandering to the humans who created these shrines to the nequus deities. Such gangly, disgusting creatures they were. Oh well; at least they knew their places. There wasn't one who didn't deserve a good kicking, in his opinion, and he'd administered quite a few. Perhaps he could persuade the bats to plague the two-legs, instead? Probably not. Maybe--
He balked to the side suddenly and bolted a few high-stepping paces to the left, eyes rolling and ears pinned. What in the world was that?! He halted, muscles tensed, and looked around for the cause of the small racket. Just some rocks that had landed near him with a dull thud or crack, but there wasn't anyone else around who could have sent rocks of that size flying towards him. "Who's there?!" He called, whipping his head around to look for the source of his discomfort.

The ghost ischa let his laughter echo out loud as he watched the bat boy jump. "I'm here." he said allowing his eyes to flash brightly a moment before being completely invisible again. He walked towards the pale stallion moving rocks aside with his hooves as he did. This was going to be quite amusing for the ghost as he got up close to the stallions face and blew a breath of air upon it.

He pinned his ears back, hardening his gaze and snorting, stamping a stone-colored hoof as well. "A ghost, are you?" So it was a ghost. The flicker of red lights -- eyes? -- again and the laughter from no one was enough to tell that. Well. What was already dead wasn't able to hurt the living. Physically, at least; he'd gotten quite a scare. He was about to speak again when a breath of air was blown onto his face. He scrunched up his muzzle in disgust; it felt like a small gust of wind, but it smelled like rotten flesh and blood. Sickening.
"Why would a ghost stick around the shrines built by the two-legs? Do you enjoy tormenting the creatures, as well?" He asked, canting his head to the side a bit. The ghost no longer scared him, he wasn't even the least bit uncomfortable. He was used to death.

"A ghost I am." The ischa said as he allowed himself to became visible directly in front of bat boy. Though he was transparent he could still be seen if barely. "You ask why I come here to this place built by the two leggers? It's quiet. Or it was quiet until your squeaky little bats came along and disturbed it." He commented his red eyes glaring at the stallion. "I also do enjoy tormenting the creatures that do come here. It's a passion of mine." He started to walk around the bat boy as he said that. "Though what are you doing here if you seem to not like this place?"

He merely blinked as the ghost appeared before him, flicking his ears lazily forward and relaxing a bit. "Blame the bats, not me. If I could rid myself of them I would in a heartbeat," he replied honestly, casting a loathing glare up at the annoying, squeaky creatures. He looked back at Vlad, tilting his head a bit. "The two-legs are always in need of a good kick, in my opinion. I love to torment the gangly things, it's one of my only sources of amusement."
He snorted, flicking his lengthy tail. Perhaps this ghost was of good company? They did seem to have certain comment interests. "My name is Vladimir. What, may I ask, are you called?"

"Vladimir? It's a pleasure to meet you as much as it was a pleasure to scare you as well." He said with a snicker. "The humans are great fun to scare if you ask me." Looking at the bat boy he shook his head. "Why are the bats attached to you if you don't mind me asking? I personally would have killed 'em all by now. With their loud and annoying screeching."

"I'd scare you to get you back," he said with a smirk and a snicker, "but I don't think it's possible to scare a ghost. And they are great fun, especially if you chase them around. That's always fun. Especially with fangs," he said with an amused, evil little snicker. Having fangs was great fun.
He cast another hate-filled glare in the flying rodents direction. "Believe me, I've tried. They flock above me and pester me when I fly, but for the life of me I can't catch a single one of them. I've no idea why the lot of them have attached themselves to me. And if you think their noises are annoying now, try having them stick to you day in and day out for your entire life," he said with a scowl. It really was a bother to have them there. Their numbers only got larger by the day.

Thinking back to all the times he scared the two leggers he couldn't help but laugh. "Perhaps some day we could both go after them. I scare them out and you go after them. Great fun that'll be." The ghost said with a hint of a smile on his face. "Oh forgive my rudeness. You introduced yourself but I have not even told you my name. I am Vlad." He lowered his head in a bow before looking back up at the bat boy.
"Perhaps the bats are attracted to you because of your fangs? You drink blood do you not?" Almost made him glad that he was a ghost. When he used to have blood he enjoyed keeping it inside him.

The vampire snickered, tilting his head to the side. "That sounds like a magnificent idea, Vlad. Pleasure to meet you," he added, bowing his head as well.
Raising his head, his tongue flicked out to lick his lips, tasting the delicate flavor of old blood. However much he washed off his muzzle, the tainted blood never washed off. Oh well; it gave him a more menacing look, he always thought. "I do, on occasion. Usually from the smaller creatures; nequus put up much more of a fight." Explained the vampire thoughtfully before gazing up at the bats. "They're not bad sometimes; they're good for scaring others. Some nequus take one look at me, with fangs, blood on my muzzle, surrounded by bats, and they head for the hills," he said with an amused chuckle, recalling a certain few.

Vlad shook his head as he noticed the blood on the other's mouth. "Makes me glad I'm already dead. I wouldn't have run from you when I was alive." He explained as he looked up at the bats again. "I still woulda killed those bats forever ago if I was stuck with 'em. When there's a will there's a way...or so I've heard anyways." Stretching out his wings a bit even though there was no need to stretch them he looked up at the sky. The stars were starting to dim it seemed either that or there was some cloud cover coming in. "The night is getting old don't you think?" he asked as he turned back to his acquaintance.
