I just joined Winter Percussion for the first time. Our director hasn't given out parts yet, but I'm hoping to get on anything with a keyboard... He's the same guy who directed pit for the marching season, and he said to our unofficial pit leader that he was glad that I was in Winter Percussion because I had great potential.

This is the first time our school has done winter drumline/guard before. I made it on the tenor drum, but I have no idea what to expect.

I want to do drumline but, I don't want to suck, because this is my first year. (But, there is alot of people that are new to it. So, I dunno)
It's 250 dollars.. I don't know where i'm going to get that kind of money.. Marching band was already 250 dollars. My parents were kinda mad to pay for it.
I want to do pit.
Then again, I'm pretty good at winterguard I did it for 2 years..I dunnoo..

This was the second year I've tried out for Winterguard... And didn't make it.
I wouldn't have felt so bad if I didn't try as hard as I did.
I have a nice bruise on my side from trying and trying to catch a horizontal behind my back when I didn't even have to ToT
But oh well. I guess it's a slap in the face and a big "YOU SUCK GO DIE."
The Winterguard show is about the empowerment of women. A mix of Man! I Feel Like A Woman, Somebody To Love, and some other songs.

Yes I'm doing Winterguard I love winterguard, its like the best season of the year. Our show is a nonlyrical song that's kinda of bluegrassy but not overly country or hokey. And we just painted our floor today took 8 hours and 15 cans of paint!! And I'm on sabre line, main rifle line (with my own rifle solo), and most likely the main flag line. We don't have tryouts for parts our director just picks, it's kinda annoying but whatever I still make the lines so that what counts.(oh and we have like 3/4 of our show learned so were gonna rock it out the first competition) I can't wait for our first competition its January 19th. Oh and here's a question what classes are ya'll's (sorry I'm from TX) guard in? Mine's in AAA but we'll probably get bumped.
