This is a particularly personal request from me. On November 6, 2002 a very dear friend of mine died from AIDS. Will is one of millions who have died from this devastating and terrifying disease and suffered social and religious isolation from stigma attached to it. I'm asking for your prayers and thoughts on this day, and your action and voice in the future when the subject comes up (in conversation or in your state and national legislatures when you are old in enough to vote) in defense of compassion and mercy for those suffering from this disease.
Here's a reflection/prayer on the subject, please join me.
Prayer and Reflection for Social and Economic Justice in the HIV/AIDS Era God of liberation and justice, Defender of the poor and marginalized, we seek Your guidance. Give us the vision and the confidence to become prophets when resources are looted. Let us hear the cry of the widows. Let us feed the orphans. Let us denounce injustice by the powerful. May we demand drugs for the sick. May we demand care for the abandoned. May we denounce wastefulness by the affluent. Forgive our silence. Forgive our complicity. In Your mercy forgive our condemnation of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Forgive us when we deal lightly with the wounds of Your people. Forgive the times when we have offered artificial solutions. Empower us to tackle corrupt systems. Make us instruments of Your peace. Make us agents of Your transformation. We pray, Amen Reflection Luke 16:19-31, Leviticus 25:8-46

i am with you on this. I know one thing about something, good will, plus natural christmas magick, can cause miracles.
I belive the resolution of the aids epidemic lies in the genes, you can produce an antivirus that transmforms at the same rate as the virus.
