The Afterwar, my own custom campaign.
This will be my first time being a DM, but not my first time playing D&D or roleplaying.
I will allow any character from levels 1-3 (and personally for stats i prefer to use 5d6 best 3, but you can use whatever stat type you like, if you use stat select, do not go over 25 points used please)
I allow all alignments, and have no specific requirement here.
I do not however allow custom races, but do allow uniqe races (ex. winged elf, minotaur, dark elf, centaur, hengeyyokai, skulk, ect.) but only to an extent, an example is no umberhulks, dragons, or other "greater" races(asi call them anyhow)

I am not a harsh DM, at least not yet anyhow....
I will bend a few rules, but not too the extreme(unless A: I dont know the rule exists, or B: I want that rule to be bent to the extreme)
please do address ANY rule issues i cause if you have any problems with it, and i will either tell you i ment for it to be, or that i knew not about that rule.

I dont allow templetes, i will allow specail feats( ex. exalted, draganomicon, complete scoundral, magic of incarnum, ect.)

I LIKE GOOD SPELLERS! i wont worry about your punctuation errors, because those dont make the words any less readable.

ex. Jones walked into the taver, peering around at all the souls in the room. His stride was long and fast, upon reaching the bar he ordered his beer. Jones did notice bob sitting in the corner, he walked over to join him, "aye, what brings a wizard to these parts?" his eyes were cold but questioning.


I would like a good background story, even a bad one will do...i guess, just as long as youve got one.
any magical/mundane items must go past me before your character has them. but preferably i would like you to not even try any because theres a 91.769 percent chance that i will say no to such items.

* A dark robe that hides his face, it is long and stoops down to legs, the sleeves are custom made so that the sleeves don’t get in the way of fighting, practicing, or the such. The robe is a dark brown with the mark of pelor on the back of the head.



* A middle aged human, at the peak of physical and mental capability. His scars and bruises show the years he wen’t through at the temple, now as a free man, they’re still there. He has a large bruise on his large face. He looks as if you do not want to get to know him, but once you do you’re glad you did.



*Personality: Kind hearted to all creatures, he only fights when fought. He refuses from even touching a weapon from what he saw the human do, but more on that later. He tries to keep to himself, stay out of others business., but some times he has to intervene. He never likes to stay in one place. “ I do not go with the wind, I am the wind. . .” He would say, then be gone. He does not take extra caution trying to cover his tracks, he’s just naturally good about it.

Backstory: He was born in a forest, no one was there for him, except a tribe of Kobolds. The Kobolds took him in, gave him food, trained him. When he was 10(When the Kobolds considered men) he ran away to the south, trying to find his own kind, once he found out how braggy and un-self-sufficient they were, he thought about going in to hiding, or back with the kobolds. But they would not accept him, and spend his life in hiding? No, he thought, he thought he should go to a remote location, but train, strive, strive for something, Strive to be a monk. And from that day he ran, he ran to the far reaches of the continent, until he found the monks.

“ We can’t train you, you are too old.” The monks said whence’ he asked to join.
“ I was born in the deepest forests, I was raised by Kobolds, I despise what I am, this is the only option, I will not, can not take no for a awsner.” He replied to them, yet keeping his cool.
“You do know that it will be harder for you if you start at eleven.” They said to him.
“ I knew this would be hard when I traveled hundreds of miles to find this.
The monks silently nodded. . .

Days, Months, years, decades he trained. Twenty Three years he trained, he fought, he practiced. . .

Something happened, the same Kobolds charged the monastery , they killed some of the lesser monks, as the numbers were few, but they razed the building, as soon as he was ready to reach the next step to a higher ranking, he would be almost the best monk there. . .

They fought the kobolds, but there was a lot of them. Do saw two kobolds charging at him, he remembered them, but they didn’t. “ Mother, Father!” He proclaimed. They didn’t notice who he was, and charged him with the spear. His father tried to do a vertical swoop, he put his hands up in a block, grab the spear, span in around and smashed his father into the ground. His Mother tried to stab him, he dodged to the side, brought up his foot and. . .


As the Monastery burned he lied on the ground, remorsing about how he has lost everything. “ I killed my parents, my parents friends killed my brothers, and my brothers killed my parents friends. . .” He sighed and looked up at the moon light. “ I’m ready to face myself, what I really am.” And with that he moved as he could, drifting from town to town trying to find his place.


One day, he was sitting in his bed at the inn. He was leaving the next day, and he was pondering the past. A owl perched on his window. “ You have been invited to Tomo championship of hand to hand.” Of course, he accepted this. . .

In the competition he rose the ranks, but, in the final competition he found his friend, Opal, from the monestary. “ The final match, will be a battle to the death!” The announcer proclaimed. Do was shocked when he heard this, they were once good friends. They fought, “ You’re holding back!” Opal proclaimed. Do would constantly block, as she pushed on. “ I’ve always wanted to surpass you, I swore that I would be your end!”. . .

Do lied there, in the middle of the blood-soaked arena. Once again he killed someone close to him, he got the prize money. He felt his god, Pelor, angry at him. Instead of going to the church, he went back to his monastery, and he trained and cried, lying in his own sorrow and self pity. He was like this for five more years.

He used the money he had won to fix it up, he did it all himself. He slaved and he slaved. Finally it was exactly like it was years ago. He put Opals body to rest alongside the others in the center of it, around it are the satues of Pelor, protecting there bodies from all who want to cause harm.

So once more he thought, he has devoted his life to the monastery. “ I will cleanse the world, I will become a GOD!” And with that he once more began to wander, staying out of others business, but helping those in need and killing evil.

Clothes: He wears his scale mail over his plain shirt, and an old leather belt is holding it in place. A small cloth bag hangs on the belt at his right hip, opposite it on his left hip is a dagger in its‘ leather sheath.. His greatsword is strapped across his back with another belt that runs across his chest from his left shoulder to his right hip. Underneath this he wears an old necklace, the leather is tarnished but the bone charm is cleaned and shiny. His brown pants are dirty ripped at the knees and the ends are inside his scuffed brown leather boots. He wears a plain brown cloak over everything.
Looks: A young male human, his tanned face is grim and his eyes are dark. An old dried over scar runs across his right eye. His body is muscular but marked with many scars and bruises, most notably a scar that runs a long scar that runs across his back from his left shoulder to his right hip. It looks as if he has been through a lot of trouble.
Personality: His personality is just what it appears to be. Tagg is grim and quick to anger, yet he will not take a weapon to anyone that isn’t threatening to him. He is overly protective of friends and people he loves, if they are in danger he will fight to get them back, even give his own life for the safety of others. If there are helpless people in need he will try and help them with no want for reward or praise. Though he isn’t a leader he is always willing to follow someone into battle. Tagg also has a love for open areas and when in buildings he always positions himself for a quick exit.

Backstory:
Born and raised in a mountain stronghold he was trained as a soldier to be sent out in the army. He was always determined but also stubborn. Resulting in many fights with the officers of Ruddaring as well as fights with other cadets. He showed great potential for a fighter nevertheless he was forced to leave the stronghold after he got in a fight to the death with another cadet. He was sent out by the admiral of the stronghold, his father Rillflag. And so he traveled the land learning what he could, only few months later Tagg was captured by a tribe of orcs and held prisoner. He was stuck there, helpless till two adventurers came to his rescue. Together the three fought there way to freedom, after that they roved the and together for a while before Bragoon and Sarabando stayed to live the rest of their lives in peace. After his adventures with the Bragoon and Sarabando he was once again traveling alone. He eventually found his way to a peaceful town called Noonvale where he fell in love with a young woman by the name of Rose. During his stay in Noonvale Tagg discovered that an evil tyrant by the name of Badrang was enslaving the people in the area from his fort, Marshank. With the well being of others on his mind Tagg raised an army to overcome Badrang. His love Rose joined him in the fight though her parents Urran Voh and his wife forbid her. During the fight for Marshank Rose jumped on Badrang who threw her against the fort wall resulting in her near death. Tagg, overcome by fury and greif for Rose attacked Badrang and was also seriously injured. Finally the Freedom Fighters won the battle but after the dreadful event of Rose’s injury Tagg was banished from Noonvale. That battle changed his life and then he swore his oath to never violate the warriors code again.After that he traveled the land doing his best to help other innocents, but the guilt of what had happened at Marshank always weighed down on him.

Still young and curious by nature, Cassy tends to find herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although she has a decent wisdom score, she still isn’t that very experienced in the way of the world having lived a very sheltered life with her father and half siblings. Her tastes, mannerisms, and worldly knowledge often show this. Despite pressure by her father to stay “home” and simply marry and raise children of her own, Cassy left the quiet village and went to see what the world had to offer.

She is a rather nice person though sometimes her temper can get the better of her. She is actually a rather shy person who tries to hide it by forcing herself not to be. So unless you get to know her, you’ll see what she wants you to see.

She adventures in basic but good quality clothing given to her by her family before she left: sturdy boots, pants (not breeches that stop at the knee); shirt with a soft leather overtunic; cloak with hood and a nice simple skirt. (One never knows when a woman will need one.) Her black hair is fairly long but braided down the back to be out of the way.

Back story: Her human mother died at her birth and she has been raised by her elven father in his village and her elven stepmother. Her name is her mother’s middle name. She has two other half-siblings. She gets along with them all and has been raised to be the “devoted daughter”. She listened to the lessons and learned to play the family harp. On her own, she conned the local bard to teach her the mandolin, her mother’s instrument as well. Despite this, it really isn’t in her nature to just sit by and watch life pass by. This led to several mishaps that she was involved in and they labeled her as a sort of wild child by the village. This was of course blamed on her human heritage and more specifically her mother’s profession. The day her father started to bring around “suitable” suitors for her meet, she made a decision to leave. Despite her father’s warning that the world is too cruel for her and that she’d be happier in the village, she left.
Thus far, she just wanders seeing where the road will take her next.

Storyline:


A war had just settled in these lands, many races battled and bruised.
The elves or at least most of them hid themselves in their forests, allowing few to enter. the dwarves hid in their caves and mountains, to be forgotten by the humans short memories. The halflings went on to mingle with humans, calling themselves short humans.

even the magic hid itself from humankind!

after a few years the humans had forgotten of any other creatures or races upon their land, and began the same way they started the end wars originally, declaring themselves the greatest race the gods had ever created. Their cities bloomed, their lands prospered, but their way of life was soon to be shattered.

The other races became ed up with hiding, and even more tired of the humans constant bragging , one by one they reapeared, first the wizards brought back magic, then the elves jumped from their trees.
The Gnomes blew a hole into a dwarven mountain, causing both races to be found. Then the monstrous beings appeared. Dragons though small in numberes flew again, striking fear into all who saw.

The humans were horified! how could they have forgetten! the burned or jailed those who called themselves sages or wizards, but could not prove it! and yet...they had denied the truth!
Even some of their own human flesh and blood had gone into hiding!
Clerics, sorcerers, paladin! all appeaering suddenlty!

but that was not all, their new world was about to be devestated again, its fate lying in the hands of a few heroic, or even villainous wanderers.....

well personally i want to wait till i have a minimum of 3 DIFFERENT classed characters. but will start if MORE than half of current players want to. so since there are only two players, and you have already stated that you would prefer not to start, i wont, since currently you ARE half of the players.

Na, its cool. Sense the whole dice thing went missing the guild has lost alot of really active people. But if you guys keep it up I may have to change crew again. (If you get what I mean...)

I do : D. . . Netherless, I think we should wait for Galdor, Dra would join but h e doe not own a computer and rarely goes on, but then again he already started a character sheet for it. So, if you wan't to deal with frustarating custom races, let him join. I wan't this to start sometime soon. . . I don't think there is going to be a spell caster, I usually fuffill that roll but I wanted to try something new. " First time Human, first time combat oriented class, first time monk : D.)

okay, if he will change the stats up (like either remove the hitdie and play as a class, oll stats, and remove perhaps damage reduction 10/ (i may allow damage reduction 1/) and perhaps change it to be more playable then i may perhaps allow it, ill need to see a character sheet before i say yes though.

oh don't worry with that type of races i take allmost take all of the bonuses away just to make it fair
