Well, as I'm advertising, I want the Les Paul in my sig. It costs 850 dollars. After I buy Resistance and MOH:H2, I want to start saving up for something. I'm trying to decide between the guitar and games.

If I get the guitar, I'll have a guitar that I can use for playing in very low tuning. This way I can form rock bands in high school and write my own songs. This is something I really want to do.

On the other hand, I can spend it on Ps3 and Wii games. Not only will I be happy with the games, but if I intend to be a clerk in a game store the second I'm old enough, I want to be able to play as many games as possible so I have good prior experience.

Here's the thing. I can't ask for this guitar for Christmas next year, because two years ago I asked for a DS that cost 130 dollars, and my sister got a laptop. Last year I got a Wii that cost 250. This year I got a Ps3 that cost 500. And all of these years we've been promising each other we would be keeping Christmas cheap. So over the course of three years my parents have dished out over 2000 dollars on Christmas presents. I'm not gonna make them pay another thousand on a Christmas present. So since I'm taking it upon myself to pay for whatever I want, here arises the question: games or guitar?

Could you... have your parents buy you a couple of games this Christmas? Or, hey, you could tell all your relatives to just give you money for Christmas. That's what I would do, if I celebrated Christmas.

Thought: You can't play a guitar with games, you must play games with a guitar. That's where GHIII comes in.

Buy games/ask for Gamestop certificates.

Save the guitar for another Christmas when your parents have bounced back, or just get a job when you can and buy one.

Yeah, I was thinking aboutt waiting until I get the aforementioned job, and then use the money to buy the guitar.

My Mom is kinda like that./////
She comes to me and asks "What do you want for Christmas?"
I say "I already told you Mario Galaxy"
She says "I want more ideas"
At this point,, I've entered the awesome zone, so I say "Guitar Hero 3"
Of course, I write that down for her. If she asks again, I'm thinking Sonic Rush Adventure.

My step sister wants to give me something as well. Methinks $20 of Wii points would do well, what with Pokemon Snap's extra functionality this time in addition to Shining Force coming out soon.

If you will get the guitar and form a band, then you not have the time the play games. If you get the games, you not miss out hos fun those games are, but you will miss your chance to become a real rock star. I would choose the games, because I feel that there are plenty of other guitar players that are better then me, plus I want to have the time to play my favorite games. But well the choice is yours so pick wisely.

Yeah, $100/PJ's is her signature gift. Then she picks something off my list just to surprise me. : D

Here's my (totally biased) opinion. I would go with guitar. I myself am a guitar player of 8 years so naturally I recomend it but I have more reasons as well. The guitar is something that can take you much farther than games can. You can do that as a hobby for the rest of your life, play in bands, make money gigging, w/e. Those games won't take you any farther than working as a store clerk like you said. And plus, a les Paul is not something you'll ever need to replace, a few years from now ther'll be 3 new consoles out and the games you bought will be useless.
