So far Mtima's trip to the Pridelands was not going so badly. Right off the bat she'd run into someone able to help her find those she needed to find, but since no one was there when she'd arrived she made note of the location and decided to check in at another time. Where to go from there was a mystery, though she made a point of avoiding the area she knew was the den she'd once inhabited with Kizamaji and their family. She had no idea, yet, that her son had moved out on his own. She had no idea that her daughter was back, with her mate and now with a family. The goddess had every intention of trying to seek out Wahabu, check in to see if Amadet had passed through as she had heard she might. What prevented that so far was the risk she ran going too close to the den, and with her weak illusion powers there was next to no chance of going close unrecognized.
With that in mind, she decided to consider her options and quietly enjoy the Pridelands to herself. After even her short time in the Jungle, it was nice to be out in the open again- though the jungle was full of beautiful creatures and flowers. She stretched out in the afternoon sun, keeping herself in the shade of a tree and away from the busier parts of the land. She did not bother to hide her wings, for that was the whole point of her leaving in the first place. The only ones she'd offended by her divinity were those leopard cubs, and they were certainly not like the typical pridelander!

The lioness sighed as she decided to take a little walk around the Pridelands with her son, Kahakai by her side. She she'd never shown any of her cubs the lands yet, it was nice to get out and show at least one of them around. When they were old enough to explore on their own, then Kai could show everyone else instead. It sounded smart enough to work ...
She peered back at her little blue cub, a proud look in her eyes. Smiling, she spoke lightly. "Come dear, I would like to show you around the lands ... " As they approached the hilltop, she scoped the lands and then began padding down, Kahakai following slowly behind.
As she bounded ahead, she spotted a winged silhouette. Pausing in her tracks, she squinted her eyes and swallowed hard. No, no. It couldn't possibly be ... Widening her eyes, she then knew who it was. Little Kahakai panted as he reached the top of the hill. Sighing, the little cub was confused to why his mother stopped walking. Patient, he stood still and waited for further direction.
Soon Kilango turned around, and grabbed the little blue cub in her maw, taking off down the hill swiftly. As she approached the winged lioness, she called out to her. "Mother! Is that you?"

Mtima was just thinking about all of those she might like to visit in the Pridelands, her mind drifting back and fourth between the cubs of Kia, the cub of Boma and her own family.. her former family.. when suddenly there was a muffled call of 'mother' brought her back to the here-and-now. She turned her eyes to the approaching blue lion- no, lions. It was hard to miss the fact that there were two of them, they were quite distinct for one who saw something more than just the physical aspects of creatures. Kilango had been one of the last people that she had expected to run into, Mtima hadn't thought she would run into anyone this quickly..
"K-kilango?" she stammered, getting to her feet and unable to do anything but look on as Kilango got closer, giving her a clearer view of the cub- and with that one look, the realization of who that must be hit her.

As she stopped in front of the winged goddess, she placed Kahakai back on the ground and smiled. "No worries, dear. We'll be back home soon enough. Could you just be a little patient for a moment? Mommy needs to talk." She gently licked the cub on the head and then padded ahead a few feet, coming face-to-face with Mtima'safi.
She widened her eyes and folded her ears back. "... Mother." She looked to the ground with a sigh. "I've ... i've missed you so much." She came closer, literally clinging onto the goddess. Kilango felt like a child, who hadn't seen her mother in years -- but in fact it really was a reality. Kilango had traveled the earth and never caught sight of the goddess, but deep down always wanted to see her again.
"Mother. Even though I was unsure of my path in life the last time we met; many things have cleared up -- and Kikore and I have started a new branch in our lives." She moved aside, showing her cub. "Kahakai is my son. Though, there are three more. My other two sons and one daughter are back with Kikore sleeping."

Mtima watched Kilango intently, paying special attention when she heard her tell the cub that mommy needed to talk. It really was Kilango, and she really had a cub.. just like she'd said she would, only now she was very much grown up. Kilango was all grown up..
When Kilango hesitantly stepped closer, Mtima did responded with similar hesitation before moving forward and nuzzling into her daughter affectionately. It had been so long, and now to see her like this was almost a painful reminder of how quickly life can go. "Kilango, it's good to see you," she murmured, and almost reluctantly allowed her daughter to move to show off Kahakai. Her grandson, and there were more of them..
"You waited?" she murmured, assuming that by Kilango's words that this was their first litter, and she beamed over at her daughter proudly. Perhaps that was one of the few things Mtima had really been able to get through to her girl. With no more hesitation, though, she stepped closer to introduce herself to Kahakai.
"Hello there."

When the goddess questioned her waiting, she nodded. "Of course. I was a fool back then, mother. I'm glad we waited. I would've been a wreck if we had cubs earlier. We settled back here in the lands before we ever planned having any cubs." She proudly looked to Kahakai as she showed him off.
"I'm so glad we decided to have cubs, though. They are a real blessing. A paw full, but loving and cuddly. I've never been so happy in my life."
Kahakai paused and folded his ears back shyly. Shrinking lower to the ground, he darted behind the lioness and peeked his little red eyes out to watch the goddess. "Mommy ... who is this?" He frowned, his tail curled up around him.

Mtima glanced back over at Kilango when she described how they had waited, and it was the smarter decision. The goddess was tempted to point out that this clearly meant 'mother knows best' but she was still hesitant to push her luck with her daughter. Her mind did not even wander to how she had abandoned Kiza and Habu, it didn't even cross her mind- almost as if Kilango being here meant she'd already seen them, already knew. Even if she gave no indication of know. She smiled knowingly at her daughter, it made her absolutely delighted to hear that her daughter was so happy.
She smiled when Kahakai ran away to hide behind his mother, a sure sign that he was well loved and cared for. She looked back up to Kilango, still beaming, "Well, are you going to introduce me then, mommy?"

The lioness turned to look back at her cub, chuckling lightly. "Kahakai, its alright. This goddess is my mother -- and your grandmother. She really would love to meet you." She leaned down and nuzzled the cub. Then she picked him up, placing him in between her paws. "This is Mtima'safi." She purred and nudged the little blue cub to take a look.
Kahakai was still hesitant, but as his mother nuzzled and picked him up, he purred lightly in return. Smiling up at Kilango, he stood on all fours and stumbled ahead, as he looked up to the winged lioness. Still slightly afraid, he inched closer and then plopped his tiny butt onto the ground, as he looked straight up at the larger lioness. "... Grandma?" He cocked his head to the side curiously, and then smiled. "Hello!" He chirped, contently sitting on the grass covered ground.

Mtima watched the interaction between her daughter and grandson, and nothing more could have made her happier. It was sweet to see, and almost amazing to imagine the start Kilango had gotten had still allowed her to become this. To try to ease his anxiety, Mtima chose to lay down so that she might be more at eye level with him and he needn't tilt his head so to get a good look at her.
"Hello, Kahakai," she beamed, "Aren't you a handsome boy?"
