YALL AIN'T READY! IT'S TIME TO GO BIG!
You ready, Let's go! Ya, for those of you that wanna know what we're all about It's like this yo!
The crowd roared and leaped to their feet as Diego Alva appeared on the stage for the first time in months. Alva just stood at center stage for a minute, looking at his fans, before smirking, jogging towards left stage, screaming "I'M HOME BABY!!". Diego then turned direction running over to stage right, gesturing at the crowd, still yelling. Then, when he was done exciting the fans, Diego went to center stage and flexed his biceps as two pyrotechnic special effect rockets shot down from the roof, colliding with the stage in front of Alva. Alva continued down the ramp as his music continued.
It's just ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain. And 100 percent reason to remeber tha name!
Diego reached the diamond plated steel steps and leaned back agains the security banner, allowing the fans to pat his chest as a "Welcome back!". He then ran up the steps quickly and got into the ring, green lights flashing on and off around him. Looking from side to side with a grin, Alva jumped up onto a turnbuckle and expanded his arms with a scream, then pointing down, doing his big timer taunt. As his music began to fade, Diego climbed off the turnbuckle and asked the ring announcer for a mic, which was handed to him with a smile. For a few moments, Alva just stood, listening to the Big Timer chants before raising his hand, making the crowd's cheers die down.
"I'M HOME BABY!" Alva screamed into the mic, causing the crowd to cheer again. Alva allowed the fans to cheer for a few minutes, before motioning for them to be quiet once more.
"Did yall miss me? Bet cha wonder where I went huh? See, I hurt my knee during my last match here in the PAW and was out getting surgery, physio, and all that bull s**t. That doesn't matter, all that does matter is that I'm here now. THE BIG TIMER IS HOME!" Once again, the crowd cheered.
"I'm in better shape now too! I'm bigger, faster, and stronger. That is why I'm here issuing an open challenge to anyone who thinks they got what it takes to beat the former, and rightful, PAW Champion! I don't care who you are, Jarel, Sting, Captain Cocksucker, Jeff Hardy. Whoever comes out here better be prepared to get an a** whooping. You wanna know why? I think you know why... BECUASE I AM THE BIG TIMER AND THIS IS HOW WE DO IT BIG!" Diego said, screaming the last part as the crowd joined in. Diego then threw down his mic and began to pull on the ropes, testing his surrondings while waiting for an opponent to show.

----------------- !! : The high pitched, laser-like sound broke the silence within the arena, and a building of drums would follow soon afterward before going into full gear with the theme. It was probably one of the last themes that anyone had expected to hear, but for many, it inspired excitement. In others, it inspired nostalgia. But why here of all places and why now? A few moments would pass, and the anticipation would build until The Hitman himself made his way out onto the stage. Decked out in the signature pink and black, along with his trademark leather jacket, Hart went ahead and stepped forward, raising the large Canadian flag overhead, waving it left and right proudly. In his other hand, however, and perhaps uncharacteristically, was a microphone. He'd go ahead and stand at the stage .. nodding at the huge reaction being given to him by the PAW audience. Eventually, Bret's music would fade out, and he'd then begin to give his two cents. :
" Now .. while it seems like the most popular question right now is why? .. I'm going to go ahead and address the question of when? "
: A pause, as he paced off to his left. :
" The question is .. when will I finally get the proper respect that I deserve? "
: And swerve. That probably wasn't exactly what some were expecting to hear. :
" It was released on PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE .. that I signed with this company. And even with this knowledge, this company had no idea what to do with me. They told me, specifically, that they had NOTHING for me to do at this Pay Per View. I spent most of my CAREER headlining Pay Per Views with guys that didn't deserve to be in the spot that they were in .. but they would put them up against ME .. simply because they came out looking like a million bucks afterward. And do you know why they trusted me with this responsibility? Because I am the best there is ..
.. the best there was ..
and the best there ever will be. "
: Slight pop, because it was the signature tagline. :
" So instead, they have me sitting backstage during this Pay Per View, twiddling my thumbs to observe the new talents, the current talent, to scout out who the next big thing might be. The truth is, that kind of a job is left to guys who are done with their careers. Guys who are washed up and no longer have any sort of drive in their bodies to create art in this ring. As of right now, I'm telling the PAW management that they can take that job and hire it to the next guy, because Bret Hart is not finished .. with being a wrestler. "
" Diego Alva .. you've come back to this ring expecting a party, a handful of confetti, balloons, and a clown in a barrel to welcome you back -- after what? After a knee injury? I worked YEARS consecutively, and what do I have to show for it? A job as talent relations and a pat on the back. No, there's no way in hell I'm going to let that slide. You think you've hit THE BIG TIME just because now you've got some tiny little battle scar on your knee? Are you even worth the attention you're getting now because of my appearance here tonight? I'll tell you EXACTLY why I came out here tonight. There's something about a guy .. who walks out here, expecting to have something handed to him for doing little to nothing. Something about a guy who .. is cocky. Brash. Arrogant. But in turn, he hasn't even scratched the SURFACE of what it is to be experienced. Guys like me, we bust our asses day in and day out, and we get put second on the totem pole just because of guys like you. Guys like .. Shawn Michaels. Guys like you, Diego Alva. What I see in you, is the very same thing I saw in Shawn Michaels. And that's the kind of thing that makes me want to beat you until that smirk disappears off your face. The kind of thing that drives me to put you back on the shelf ... "
: Some underlying emotion was put into that. :
" So I guess what I'm saying is .. if you want to throw out an open challenge, then that's perfectly fine. You came out here expecting Sting .. Jeff Hardy .. some guy named Jarel .. but what you're getting instead is a first-hand lesson of what it means to go face to face with the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. "
: Lowering his microphone, Hart went ahead and began making his way down toward the ring! :

Alva's eyes had widened with shock as Bret "The Hitman" Hart's music had begun to play, and he had listened to the speech silently, not interupting like some wrestlers would have. When Bret was finished, Diego raised his microphone to his mouth, a smirk on his face.
"Nice speech old man, bet ya you stayed up all night preparing that for someone huh? See, you may have been the best in your time, but there is someone thats standing here right now that isbetter than you now. Me! So bring it old timer, I'll teach ya a lesson that you can learn in future matches."
Diego then threw the mic out of the ring and motioned for Bret to hurry up. He would wait until his opponent was in hte ring, not jump him like other dirtier wrestlers would have. As Diego got ready to take on the legendary wrestler, he listened to the mixed chants. Half the crowd was cheering for Alva, while the other half were cheering for Bret. This was the first time that this had happened to Diego since he had turned face.

: Making his way down to ringside, Bret paused outside the ring .. eyeing Diego as if he were sizing up the younger star. Perhaps there was a look of slight hesitation on his face? No. Hart believed that he was the real deal after all, and so did half of the fans apparently. Removing his pink visors, Bret turned and handed his flag and visor to a guy in the front row who was waving around a Canadian flag. Damn the interwebs for spoiling his debut in PAW. Heading up the steps at a corner of the ring, Hart pointed the referee in Diego's direction. :
" You keep him away until that bell rings. "
: Ducking into the ring while it was secure, Bret removed his leather jacket in his own corner. Tossing it aside to a ring attendant, Hart bounced against the ringropes, getting used to the elasticity within them. Deafening cheers for both men swarmed the arena as the bell rang. Bret would begin to circle the ring to his right, only to stop and place his hands on the sides of his hips. Secretly, he was somewhat surprised at how many in the arena were yelling their heads off for both himself and Alva. It brought an inescapable smirk across his features.
With that aside, the execution was ready to begin. Circling with Alva now, Bret's hands were raised just slightly before he snapped forward, looking to initiate the collar and elbow tie-up with the returning Diego. :

Diego stood, bouncing from toe to toe as he waited for the bell to ring. As it rung, he began to move towards Bret, circling around the ring as his opponent did so. All of a sudden, Bret snapped forwards, trying to make a tie up. Diego accepted it, lowering his body and trying to push Bret into the corner.

: Locking up with Alva, Bret would take a few steps back to accept Alva's forward press. Nearing the corner now, Bret attempted to shift aside to turn the both of them in a 180. If successful, Hart would try and begin to press Alva against the corner, smothering him, but not choking him. Eventually, the referee would want to step in and signal for a break. :

As Diego got Bret near the corner, he felt an unexpected change in direction and his legs did what they could to keep Alva on his feet, which ment completing the 180 with Bret. Alva felt his back be pressed against the turnbuckle before the ref tried to force his arms in between the two stars. Diego raised his arms in the air, signalling that he would make it a clean break if Bret did.

: The referee went ahead to try and wedge himself in between the two men as a physical barrier and means of separation. Uncurling his hands from his grasp of Diego, Hart stepped back some .. hands raised to also signal the clear bre-- until Bret decided to try and slap the taste out of Diego's mouth. Bret was a veteran of the ring, and wanted to see what sort of mental resolve Diego had. If his opponent lost his cool, it would play toward the Hitman's advantage. If not, then it seems Bret would have to press the envelope just a bit more. :

The former PAW heavyweight champion was no rookie, and as he felt the open palm go across his face, he simply turned his head a bit before smirking at Bret. Then, out of nowhere, Diego tried to send a powerful right handed slap towards Bret, going to return the favor to the veteran. He doubted that Bret would get his tights all up in a bunch over the move, but it would distract him for what Diego planed to do after the move, which was a fire man's carry take down into a side headlock.

: Slapped right in return by Diego .. Hart moved back in to retaliate, only to get taken up and over onto the canvas with a dull thud. Gritting his teeth as Alva cranked in that side headlock, Hart was quick to maneuver his weight to the side. Ducking his head, Bret attempted to slip out the back way, and in the process, look to apply a hammerlock behind the man's back. If successful, Bret would try to shift his weight over Alva, attempting to potentially work that arm, or just keep the former Champion restrained. :

That Bret Hart was one slippery legend. No sooner had Diego got him into that side headlock he felt Bret's head slip free. Trying to alter his body to grab Hart again, he was only captured in the hammerlock. Grunting in pain, Alva tried to shift his body weight so that he would have his back Hart. He would then proceed to throw a series of elbows at the verteran's head, in an attempt to be released from the hold.

: Managing to keep Alva in his grasp in the meantime, he would soon find himself being nailed in the head with those elbows for being in such a prone position. Releasing the hold in a slight bit of stun, Hart shook his head clear and continued to try and keep his momentum rolling. From behind, Bret would attempt to shoot a pair of hard forearm strikes into the lower back of Alva to slow him down some.
If successful, Hart would now take his place beside the opponent and wrap his arm around his skull, deciding to try and progress forward using the textbook side headlock. :

Bret's forearm would only have been successful if Diego had been stupid enough to decid to stay put while the veteran was stunned. However, the former champion was not an idiot; ergo, he had already moved while Bret was shaking the cob webs. Just as Bret had regained focus, Diego and repositioned himself so that he was behind the superstar, his body on one knee. Diego now tried to punch Bret in the spine to stun him for a second, so that he could apply the effective sleeper hold.

( Makes perfect sense to me. )
: So perhaps Bret hadn't expected this much out of the former PAW Champion. Not like Hart would ever admit to that anyway. While stunned, the standing switch was put into effect by the opponent and Hart was unable to recover in time. The punch would cause him to wince, placing a hand to the small of his back. Stumbling maybe a step or two forward, Hart would find himself caught up while standing in that tight sleeper hold. Gritting his teeth, Bret grabbed onto Alva's arm, trying to pry it off from around his neck in futility. Using his ring presence, Hart would try and shift himself just to the side while he still had his feet underneath him. Wrapping his arms around the man's torso, Bret looked to work both of them toward the ropes. Leaning down, Hart would use his left arm to cradle underneath Alva's leg, while the other wrapped around his back in an attempt to heft Alva skyward, trying to dump him over the ropes and out of the ring, onto the floors outside with that Back Suplex! :

Alva had tried his best to keep Hart in the center of the ring, but it was all in vain, for the pair of them were moved towards the ropes. As Alva felt his back against the ropes, and Bret placed his arm behind his legs, he knew what was going to happen. As he felt himself be lifted up, Alva grabbed the top rope with both hands, hanging with his front to the ring. Alva quickly put his feet up on the apron, hoping that Bret would think that that he had gone up and over. If Hart's back was to him, he would attempt to get into the ring and attempt a quick back suplex. If Bret was facing him, and went to attack him, Alva would drop low and drive his shoulder inbetween the two ropes in a attempt to get the veteran's ribs, then get back in the ring while the vet was stunned.
