Wahabu was in a good mood. In the last little while, since he'd moved out of his father's den, the yellow lion had found that his mood was improving- though he figured that had something to do with the fact he'd finally started getting better control of his visions. And maybe his guest, Intombi was nice to have around, even if she said it was only for a little while. Since inviting Intombi, he'd been meaning to go and check in on his aunt and uncles- he had a particular reason for it, but if he worried and panicked it would only be harder on everyone. Especially if he was wrong.
So instead, Habu was taking a leisurely walk in the general direction of his grandmother's den. He had wandered from the path a bit, half tempted to go and see how his father, Sheshe and Mira were doing.. still undecided though, he didn't rush his walk.

Ua had actually never met any of her relatives outside her immediate family although perhaps she should have. So it was a coincidence that she found herself crouched in the grass directly between Wahabu's den and his grandmother's. Ua was a rather simply cub with a rather singular purpose. And that purpose was to have fun. She was crouched in the grass, ready to spring on an unsuspecting passerby. In fact, it was a bug that she wa s waiting for, or something smaller than herself that she could take on. She certainly wasn't expecting it to be more than twice her size. But fun was fun. And fun could be found in anything. And Uabutani was not one to to be picky about what chance threw her way.
Pouncing out from her location, she sprang at the lion, skidding to a halt right at his feet so that her neck was uncomfortably craned upwards and getting a splendid view of his chin. "Hello," she sang and pulled away to get a better view of his actual face. "My name's Ua. Well, actually it's Uabutani but no one calls me that. Well, unless I'm in trouble. But never mind that. What are you doing out here? Huh, huh?"

With uncles and an aunt much younger than him, and with one of the uncles being particularly fond of sneaking up on him and generally causing 'trouble', Habu was quite used to cubs- though usually it wasn't anything quite this color leaping out at him. At the rustle of the grass and the pounce of the cub, Habu came to a halt- just in time to avoid stepping on Ua.
"Hello there," he said in a startled voice, and at the same time as her, he stepped back so he could see exactly who had sneaked up on him, "I'm Wahabu, but I don't suppose many call me that either. It's nice to meet you, Ua."
The yellow lion looked curiously down at her, always wearing a smile but trying to figure out why she seemed so familiar to him. It wasn't too unusual for him, the Pridelands was full of lions one often saw in passing before actually chatting with. He also had visions to help him, but those mostly centered around family..
"I was going for a walk," Habu answered brightly, "But what are you doing, sneaking up on a lion like that?"

She smiled up at him all saucy. "Well, this is my hunting ground you've stumbled into," she declared. "So you're my prey~" She circled him like it too. "But how shall I eat you? Where should I start? You see, I like to try new things so I shall have to figure out what new way to eat my prey I should try."
She was playing with him and pretending that he was a butterfly - for he certainly was colorful like one - made it easier for her to say such... "mean" and "scary" things. But she stopped and paused to gawk at him. "You're a brighter yellow than I've got!"

"Have I?" he asked, playing along with the little game, "I didn't realize, if I'd known I was going to be eaten then I would have picked a different way to go." Habu took a seat, accepting his inevitable "fate" of becoming Ua's dinner. He watched her circle, not only half thinking about the familiarity- until she mentioned the yellow.
"Yeah, your yellow looks more like my grandmother's," he said simply, then startled himself as he realized what he'd said. That thought planted into his head, he raised an eyebrow and suddenly seemed to stare with much greater interest.

"But see, that's the fun in all this," she couldn't help but reply to his first response. "I get to choose how you go and that's the fun of it. But first, I'm going to interogate you. Yea, that's right. You're a spy trying to steal my secrets. But no, I'm going to find out who sent you here first! That's right!"
She paused and scruntched her face. "I never met my grandmother. My Mommy's blue and purple. And my Daddy's green like me. I'm just lucky to have yellow," she declared. "Hey wait! You're distracting me!" She playfully jabbed him in the shin. "Whosentyou?!"

Habu shook his head, trying to focus on not being so weird and instead playing along. Ua seemed to be a very imaginative cub, it was rather entertaining- even if he was the one who was to be interrogated and eaten. "So you do have secrets worth stealing?" he said shiftily, looking around and then back to her, "I've been caught, but you'll never get answers out of me."
Blue and purple mother mentioning distracted him again though. As much fun as she was trying to have, she was giving him far too much suspicious information.
"Wait, who's your mother?" he asked. Worst case scenario, it was his own distraction technique in the little game.

Ua crouched and wiggled her butt as though she was going to pounce and only restrained herself out of respect for the stranger. "Don't turn it back on me. I'll never tell you about my candy recipe. NEVER!" She made a gasp and raised a paw to her face, pretending she had let out a big secret and turned on the offensive again. "Whooooo sentyou?!" She drew her face into the meanest face she could imagine and ended up looking quite comical. "Stop avoiding the question. We'll get the secret out one way or the other."

Habu only blinked as she refused to answer his question, and it took him a moment to recover from the idea that Kilango and the mate she'd mentioned might have had cubs. It was almost urgent to him to know the answer, if Kilango had those two cubs he'd seen then he could stop wondering if his mother had abandoned him only to go off and have another family.
The fact she had at least one cub, though, gave him hope. He didn't even realize that she'd mentioned yellow making her special, or that his yellow was strange.
"You'll have to eat me first, I'd never betray my colleagues," he answered dramatically, regaining his playful manner and standing back up to "defend" himself, "But if you eat me, you'd never know! What a tough spot you're in."

"I see you're going to make things rough, eh? Well then... I'll just take away your... lionhood!" she declared and pounced on his tail. She grabbed hold of it and made ferocious noises as though she were tearing it apart. Then, she drew herself back and ruffled the tuff so that it looked mangled. "What do you say now?"
This was quite fun. She couldn't help herself. And thus, she permitted herself a victory dance completely with victory chanting and sound effects. Then she paused and looked at his shoulder. "My mommy has spots like that. Only... I think they're purple~"

Wahabu made a 'valiant' effort to free his tail, wriggling his body more than the tail so as not to remove it from her grasp so easily. When she released his tail, he was half-sitting, half-laying on the ground- and immediately curled his tail around to grasp it protectively.
"My poor tail!" he wailed, not half bad an actor- at least, he thought so. Maybe if he was doing this in front of someone older than Ua he'd be completely ridiculous; even with Ua he might, but he noticed by the dance that she was having fun. His dramatic frown over his tail faded into a curious gaze at Ua as she described her mother with spots. Purple spots. Blue and purple. It all seemed to be so much more likely very suddenly..
"Kilango?" he said finally, hoping that if he was right then she might react to her mother's name better than demands about who she was.

Truth be told, she really didn't know her mother's name. "Mommy" or "Mama" was good enough for her so she didn't bother knowing the exact details. She didn't even know her daddy's name since like he needed one anyways. So turning the name over in her brain was like chugging an old casino boat like the ones that roamed the Mississippi river through mud, wasn't really going anywhere. Or certainly not very fast. Luckily it had a very large wheel on the back to push it forward until it finally made it out to deep water. "I think that's her name," she said, still unsure. But whatever. Not like it was important.
She did a little finale for her victory dance and turned to face him. "You know, you're quite fun for a grown-up." She beamed up at him to reinforce her statement. "You should stumble upon my hunting grounds more often." Of course, she never considered that he might not find it pleasing to be bullied by a cub when he probably had a destination in mind that she was keeping him from. But that was part of her carefree nature. And she couldn't help it.

Habu seemed dazed when Ua said she thought that was her mother's name, for with those words it made it all so much more real. This wasn't just a playful cub, one who coincidentally had Miamba's yellow, and a blue and purple mother.. it never was just a coincidence with Wahabu and he was slowly learning that. Habu's trip to Miamba's den to check on Kiwi was long forgotten now that he'd found Uabutani. It was almost frightening now, as he realized how much she reminded him of little Kilango. That, though, may have been his imagination getting away with him, for he never really had truly forgiven her for what she'd done. Ua seemed to be more.. what Wahabu had always hoped Kilango would be like, what he'd hoped for in that last "game" they played.
"M-maybe I will," he said finally, responding to her statement before shaking his head to get back to what was really on his mind, "Your mother is Kilango? Dark blue, purple spots, purple stripes.. red eyes.. is that her?

Ua nodded. "Yea, she even has eye markings like mine!" she declared. "Well... actually these ones" -she pointed to the ones than ran along either side of her nose to her mouth- "are from my Daddy." He seemed almost scared that her mommy was blue and purple. "You ok? I mean, she won't eat you?" Ua truly had no clue what really had gone down between Habu and Kilango. So she thought what she was saying was completely honest and an indisputable fact. "Oh and you never told me your name, spy!"

Habu released his grip on his tail and sat up so that he was no longer awkwardly half-laying on the ground before the cub. He didn't bother to shake the dirt on his fur off, listening to what Ua described and finally managing a smile.
"I did introduce myself, I'm Wahabu," he said, and with slight hesitation he continued, "And I'm quite sure I'm your uncle."
