Tope was so frustrated... he couldn't figure it out. No matter what he did with his brother or what he said, Ardhi still resented him for having a girlfriend-though he would't admit it-and it bothered Tope that Ardhi didn't even go anywhere outside the family circle-to see. Perhaps, he was just afraid. Tope paced back and forth under the tree-his pink eyes narrowing. He had to figure something out for his dark brother-he didn't want to leave him completly stranded whlie he himself was away with his lady friend.
Because, he'd be leaving soon-and then Ardhi would be alone with their sisters-plus how many more their parents decided to have. Tope rolled his eyes at the thought. Ew.

A sand colored lioness was sneaking around outside the pridelands to try to find some food. She perked her ears forward and tried to pick up any sound. She wagged her tail as she looked around with her brown eyes. The lioness was still really young she recently just become an adult actually...
But she had more then one mouth to feed already. Pona had come to the pridelands after she gotten pragnent with a random male she met. It was just a fling and she had no idea it would end up with three kids.
But Pona was confident and happy she had no problem raising three babies by herself tough it would be nice to have some company maybe someday she would again.

Tope sighed heavily, tossing his bulky form onto the ground dramatically with a thud. It was so hard.. his sisters didn't really have trouble finding a boy to play with-but it was Ardhi's little problem-when he fell too the ground and shook-and would not respond or even comprehend what was happening-it ruined Ardhi's confidance and feeling of safety. He ground at the dirt with his paws, trying to rid himself of this feeling of guilt and betrayal... but he wasn't betraying his brother-was he? He was just-stuck... and horribly sad.
Tope reached down and chewed at his paw a bit-which didn't make himself feel better-so he stopped with a cough and a mouthful of dirt. He shook his head, his brown mane tuft fluttering in his eyes. Argh... what to do about Ardhi and his-
Tope's periferal vision caught something sandy colored and he turned to gaze at the female-with the white socks. He blinked-not aware that he had been in the company of someone else.

Pona yawned and wagged her tail from side to side slowley as she walked. Maybe she would do some hunting now but where to being? she sniffed in the air a little with her pink nose trying to pick up any scent but the only thing she picked up was the scent from another lion...
Pona perked her ears foward to listen...was it someone here?
That wouldn't surprise her this land was full of lions right witch was good since that ment it was full of life.
She started to walk to maybe find the scent that belonged to someone.

Tope watched her walk, she hadn't spotted him yet... and wondered why his father had chosen his mother... he wondered how love worked and how females carried cubs... all things he could not bring himself to ask his father or mother. Then, a brilliant thought. Why not ask someone who looked like they knew!? He smiled. She was a girl... she'd know where babies came from-right? And she was a stranger... so... he could be all sorts of embarassed and never see her again. Awsome.
He stood up with his chest puffed out, intent on asking this pale female how things worked in reproduction.
So he held his breath, hoping standing would catch her eyes.

It didn't take her that long to find the owner of he scent and it was a rather young lion male and he was standing there and tried to make himself look bigger witch made her almost burst out in laughter when she saw him but she remained calm but in her mind she was laughing out.
" Oh hallo there! i picked up a scent and followed it i guess it belongs to you "
She said with a smile and curled her tail around one of her back legs. The male didn't look agressive or anything he just looked funny accourding to her.

Tope just about jumped out of his skin when she spoke... he didn't expect her to say something so... normal. After all she was an adult... and adults were weird... but she talked like everyone else he knew. His puffed out chest let out its steam and he stood, a budding young man with a mane working its way through.. and his young muscles starting to become lean and strong-like his fathers.
He smiled nervously... not sure how to ask... if he wanted to ask... if she was going to awnser... so he decided that simply... starting off simple was good enough. Hello. I think i'm the only one out here right now... so it is highly likely... that it was me.
I didn't smell you... but I saw you coming across the plain...

Pona blinked a little heh the poor male seemed to have being a little shocked by her but maybe she had that impact on males? hmm probably not tough as a single young mother she can't just let things be boring right? she wagged her tail and watched the male when he spoke..
" Oh well i am Pona i live in the pridelands right over there "
She said and pointed in the right direction with one of her paws..
" Do you live there too or is your home somewhere else? "
Pona knew she had to go sometimes outside of the pridelands to find food specially with 3 hungry cubs at home. They had been growing pretty much latley but her only son was still shy..

Tope felt funny... he had met a large amount of lions from the pridelands... but not many that were not apart of them-just living with them. He gazed in the direction of the rock he knew made up most of their home. No... I live outside of the pridelands... or in them... very near the border... my family is a bunch of exiles from the swamplands... and I think my parents are a bit afraid to try getting into another pride... at least right now
He tossed his paw in the general direction of his home in the trees next to the watering hole. He wasn't sure where the borders to the lands where in fact... he didn't really care to know.

Ah so he wasn't living here but the pridelands was big so she didn't think it was strange that other lions not belonging to the pride comming in and out from it. She nodded and gave him another smile..
" Oh ok well i can understand that but the pridelands are nice actually and i needed a safe place to raise my babies at "
But it was just her and the babies but her babies wasn't actually just cubs any more they where growing fast and soon they would be able to take care of themselves and wouldn't need her help anymore she just hoped atleast they would stay close to her and not leave to far away.

Tope had heard many great things about the pride lands... and encouraged his father and mother to go and join them... to have a home again... Sure it wouldn't be like the swamplands... but it would be safe... and they would not have to worry about their cubs being attacked or hurt... if they had more cubs anyway. I have heard that it is a very safe place to live...
I wouldn't mind having a life there... but at the moment... I think the Kusini Mwenzi is the place i have to head towards... It's my mates home... He said, gazing off into the distance... imagining his future home...

Pona nodded indeed it was a very safe place to live at atleast she tought so and it had been the best place so far to live at and to raise cubs at.
" Yes indeed it is! tough i think you stay for a little while in your old home like you said since moving sometimes takes time it took me several weeks to get here "
Maybe even longer...she hadn't been counting the days so she didn't really know. She flicked her tail a little and watched the male lion..

Tope imagined how far the Kusini was from here. What he did not know, was that his Father and Mother made a trip there a few times-since it was his fathers first home. His father kindheartedly left there to live at the swamps, to have their first child-and then be exiled. He sighed, trying to recall some memories of the swamp, but all he could see was some image of goddess damning him if he ever returned.
Yeah... I don't know for sure when we will be leaving... but... I dunno... soon perhaps. I kind of want to get out and see the world for once... not just chill here... he said, looking off into the distance... trying to see if he could see Jini... see if she was coming to see him. It all depends if Jini is comfortable enough to travel there soon... she has a tough time walking... she has a hurt leg...

Pona didn't knwo of his past but she did know that everyone could have problems with there homes or even with their families. Pona nodded...the pridelands had been her home for a while now and she liked it very much.
" Well i am sure you will figure it out...oh who has a hurt leg? your friend? "
Pona tought atleast she would ask and it was up to him to answer or not they where just strangers after all.

He was so worried and worked up about it he could taste the nervousness in his mouth, hear the fear ringing in his ears. He reached up and nuzzled the side of his head slowly with his gloved paw, shaking his head back and forth slowly. She was born with a hurt leg and sometimes It gives her a tough time... And this trip could very well be to much for her... He said, with a deep sigh. His tail twitched in a slow manner...
He lifted his head and his pinke eyes shown with his emotion.?But she must go... for it is something she has been wanting for a long long time... and because I love her-I will help her.
