UPDATE - Dec. 5, 2007
As Missions are now getting underway, I guess I'd better make a point about things I've seen. In case you didn't understand that only the first post of you accepting, and the last post of you completing a mission needs to be posted in the Mission area, I'm going to reiterate it here. Which I just did. xp
Secondly, about the Warp 5 "Speed Limit"... I've seen some ships speeding off at Warp 5 where their ship can actually go faster. While this is ok, at least for short trips, the "Speed Limit" is ONLY a requirement for Federation Governed Starships. Generally speaking, if your ship has a higher cruising speed, you are expected to travel at that speed, mostly for issues when dealing with long-time Missions. Also, the ONLY Federation ships that are stuck to this limit are the ships that don't have improved Warp Coils. The way you tell if your ship needs these is due to them being listed as a Recommended Upgrade in the ship's stock profile in the Drydock Subforum.
Klingon and Romulan Governed ships don't need to stick to that "Speed Limit" as they don't really care about the Subspace damage caused by their warp engines. So, mainly, if you CAN go faster than Warp 5 Cruise, you're more than welcome to, and in fact are highly requested to, do so.
I hope that this helps some people. biggrin
UPDATE - Dec. 28, 2007
The above PM has been sent to every member of the guild, except for those of you who have proven yourselves to be relatively active members. I'll be checking my PMs and the guild itself as much as I can over the next few days to see what happens.
Also, in light of this, I'm instituting a reward policy to those members that can recruit new members. HOWEVER, there's a catch. These new members have to be willing and able to be active members of the guild. This means more than 1 post a week, and probably around one post every 2 days, at LEAST.
The reward for getting these new members will be 5,000 Credits for each New Member, and 10,000 Credits for each new ACTIVE Member. When the members apply to join, make sure to have them mention you so that I know who to reward.
However, you will only receive the reward if the member remains active for more than 10 posts. If not, you only receive 5,000 Credits. If they remain active, you will receive the additional bonus of 10,000 Credits, making a grand total of 15,000 Credits for each new Active Member.
This reward can be given out multiple times, however any abuse of these rewards will result in an instant ban from the guild. So, get recruiting. biggrin
UPDATE - Jan. 01, 2008
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
Secondly, as of late we've had a MASSIVE influx of new members. Whether they remain active or not is yet to be seen, however, I'm going to need lists of members that you guys have invited, or at least have them say who invited them so that I can divy up your guy's rewards! eek
Today alone I think I counted maybe 6-10 new people! Thats alot! And someone has to get the rewards for them being invited. 3nodding So, since I can't figure out who invited everybody, I'm going to need you guys to start sending me lists, or have the new guys tell me in their requests to join. sweatdrop
Hope you all had a good new Year, and make sure to tally up your invites!
Remember, each new person added to the guild nets your character 5,000 Credits, and if they remain active will add another 10,000 Credits onto that original 5,000. So make sure I know who's getting invited by whom! xd
UPDATE - May 2nd, 2009
Let it be known that the abomination known as "Star Trek" as directed by J. J. Abrams shall not under any circumstances be considered canon or a part of this guild's universe. Any questions pertaining to me altering this decision will be a definitive "No" (at least until I have seen the movie, and even then it will likely remain that way). No vessels from said movie will have ever existed in this guild's universe.
The only fully canon movies, eras, or series included as a part of the guild will be the original 10 movies, TOS, TMP, and TNG. ENT will be considered partially canon here and there as it completely and utterly messed up continuity and certain events in the universe already.
Not only has this decision been reached due to personal dissatisfaction with the movie's plot, but it has also been reached due to the fact that the inclusion of that movie's events utterly destroys the Star Trek universe contained within all shows stated above, except for ENT.
Thank you,
-Ryugi

UPDATE - Dec. 28, 2007
Quote:
Dear New Frontier Guild Members,
It has come to my attention that a majority of our members do not post, or have never posted in our guild as active members. This is very troubling to me. I have been able to stay online to keep the guild running, but only to find that nothing (or very little, anyway) is going on in it. Thats why I'm contacting all of you.
If you plan to be an active member in the guild (1 post a day at least, or one every 2 days) then please, post and be active.
If you're simply going to sit back and not ever post in the guild and only be a member, I can't accept that, as it isn't a good thing for the guild. If you're going to be a member of the guild, I'll need you to be an active roll player or at LEAST make some posts in the OOC Thread. The guild can't survive without its members...
So please, if you can be an active member, please respond to this PM asap. If you don't want to RP and be an active member, please consider it, or just quit the guild. I'm sorry it has to come to this, but having no activity in a guild built around character interaction is killing it, and I can't have that happen. sad
Sorry,
Ryugi Kazamaru - Guild Owner
P.S. - If I don't get a response within one week, I'll start removing members from the guild. If you decide you want to rejoin as an active member after you're banned or removed, you may re-apply.

Hi guys. I'll make this brief since I'm terribly busy as of late.
Basically, its come to my attention that certain people are "inventing" ways of gaining credits for themselves. Some people are making missions with cargo holds of NPC ships they've created to gain credits from resource deposits that shouldn't be theirs. Other people are rushing through missions at a terrifying rate and gaining large sums of credits that way.
I'll make it simple for everyone to understand.
Only a Moderator like myself or Corvius is allowed to hand out credits, unless you are doing a mission for someone else, and they pay you out of their own funds. Don't rush through repeatable missions just to get the credits. Try to make them fun or interesting. Develop your ship's crew a bit. Just don't grind your way through them. Really guys... This guild isn't all about credits.
I hope I've made myself clear.
Thank you all.
