White paws tread slowly upon the Pridelands grasses, seeking... Something. Gold eyes scanned the horizon, trying to pinpoint peach and chocolate amid the grasses. They soon found what they sought, and the white lioness headed in that direction. Her ears remained down as she walked, conveying how broken she felt. Like a china doll, her spirit seemed shattered. Now... With such a twist in her life, what with being beaten on by a lion she'd trusted and then other things.... She wanted to make ammends and right her wrongs. As she drew closer, she could clearly see the scars she'd left. It made her cringe to think she'd done that, so suddenly turning on a lioness that had trusted her.

Mut'salama stared almost forlornly off into the distance, wishing her mother was there, to help her, teach her. Letting out a heavy sigh, the lioness shifted. She could feel, moving in her, cubs that she had been impregnated with. It was strange to her, really, to be pregnant. She'd never actually known any lions that HAD been, so she had no experiences to go by. Not too long ago, she had willed herself, within the safety of the cave she shared with Danzi, to have a vision - It hadn't been easy, though, and she had been left exhausted by it. It was the first time she'd actually done that... And what she saw was two shapeless blobs connected to her... And to Ushukuru. But that was all she knew - Two white blobs. Two... There were two. She didn't know what they looked like, or what genders they were. Just that they were... There. An ear flicked as she mulled over this, and she lifted her head. The winds had shifted, and on them came the scent of another. Looking over, she felt her spine tingle. It was the lioness from before...

Kimiko could see the fear in the peach and brown lioness' blue eyes, and she understood why it was there. She hung her head as she moved closer, glancing up. "Please... Don't be afraid... I... I came to..." She barely finished before the lioness was up and hurrying away. The white lioness cringed, mentally kicking herself, then hurried after. "Wait! Please..."

Mut found a safe spot to hide, ducking into a cluster of trees. She'd found it a while ago, and had found an abandoned den amid the clumps of brush and tree. It was a wonderful spot, nice and cool during the heat of the day. She had decided that this was where she would bear her cubs, in the protected little copse of trees and brush. And it was here that she hid, curling up and watching the den entrance. The very last thing she wanted was to be attacked, especially now.

Slowing down, the white lioness looked about. She saw a cluster of trees and headed that way, looking around. When she didn't see the peach lioness. She sat down and let out a forlorn sigh. "Great... I try to appologise... And she runs off..." Shaking her head, Kimiko got up and walked away. Upon reaching the watering hole, she found a spot and lay down, black toes dangling in the water. It hurt, really, to have nobody trust her too well. But she understood, it was her fault, she had caused the distrust. After all... She WAS one of Nyekundu's daughters.

Mut crawled out of the den, watching the white lioness walk away. Her tail curled a bit before she followed, now wondering. From a distance she watched, noting the scarring the rogue bore. That hadn't been there when they first met... What stories did this lioness now have to tell? After a moment, she went up to her. "I accept your appology..." The peach and chocolate lioness flicked her tail just a bit, feeling the cubs squirm. But it was normal movement, nothing more.

A surprised sound escaped as the rogue jumped, turning around. Gold eyes met blue before the surprise wore away, and Kimiko relaxed. Her tail, marked only by two black bands compliments of her father, curled around her haunches as she watched the other for a moment. After a few minutes of silence, she bowed her head. "Thank you... For... Forgiving me..."

For the first time in her life, Mut's face took on a hard look. "I said I accept the appology, not that I forgive you." She let out an agitated sound, flicking an ear. "But... I'm sorry for running and not hearing you out." They were even there... Sort of. But she would never trust the lioness. Ears pinning back, she eyed Kimiko. "My adopted brother wants to meet you..." She nodded in a direction she imagined Danzi was in. He seemed to be often be found staring out over the sands, almost... forlornly? It was unusual in her mind.

The white lioness nodded, getting up. "Alright..." She wasn't forgiven... That stung. It stung a lot. Letting out a sigh, the adolescent turned and walked off. As if acting as some smiling grace, the peach and chocolate lioness didn't lash out at her, but she could still feel a glare boring into her back. If she knew, she'd have been thankful that that was about as violent as Mut got. By the time she realised she had no idea what the other lioness' brother looked like, she was gone.

As Mut had suspected, Danzi was sitting staring out into the desert. The rust-orange lion sighed, wishing he had a good reason to go out there. For the time being, he was content to remain where he was. His ears perked up suddenly as he sniffed the air, smelling somebody unknown. He looked around, soon spotting a spot of blinding white. Was it Kabichi? That was his first thought. But no... There was no green hair, no blue or purple markings... In fact, they were all black.. When he saw the gold eyes, it dawned on him who it was.

The only lion Kimiko saw for... Well, anywhere, was an orange and black male staring out at the desert. She eyed him, then went up to him. Almost emediately she saw the anger in his green eyes and rather wished she could be anywhere else but there. "Excuse me... Um... The... The brown lioness said you wanted to see me..." Her ears folded back just a bit, afraid of the backlash of her prior actions.

Danzi walked right up, circling the large lioness slowly. His brows were furrowed, eyes ablaze. No, there was no mistaking it... This was the one who'd attacked Mut. Quite suddenly, his paw flew out, knocking her down. "Who are you, and where did you come from?" Normally the gentle and kind one, it was a full about-face for him. Clearly, nobody could attack Danzi's loved ones and escape his anger.

Shock painted itself on her face as the white lioness fell, staring up at the angry lion. Memories of Toshiro returned, and she cowered, scrambling back. "W-what..?!" In her years of trying to be tough, it was a moment where all her knowledge to fight back had escaped her. Truly, she seemed vulnerable. Not too vulnerable, but vulnerable enough.

The male moved closer, a snarl curling on his maw. "Answer me - Who are you, and where did you come from?!" More importantly, why did she attack Mut? By now, though... It mattered not. He was angry still, for she'd done wrong. But he didn't strike out at her again. The kinder side of him still had SOME grain of control, enough to keep him from all-out mauling the strange rogue lioness.

Kimiko gulped, eyes wide. "K-Kimiko, d-daughter of... Of Nyekundu and Malika'eusi..." Maybe more than he wanted, but... It felt like enough. "I come from the Oasis... Please... Don't hurt me..."
