Hey everyone,
I thought I'd do the honors this week in creating a TMNT-episode review thread. smile Finally, I got to see today's episode, "Nobody's Fool." Glad I got it on tape too! It was a great one, based right from the classic Tales of the TMNT comic # 2. It was a classic episode with a new twist. And what in the world is Baxter Stockman supposed to be now? A head on a bubbling vial of green liquid?? gonk He never dies I tell you! This was my first time seeing "Mr. Touch and Mr. Go." What comical characters they are, with their way of "greeting" Michelangelo and Leonardo! I thought it was a great episode. What'd you think of it?

I thought it was strangely ironic that we've been discussing what games they would play . . and here Raph and Don get after Mikey for always hoggin' the games! (Was it even a 'real' game they were playing? Anybody catch a name being mentioned?) It was nice of Leo to hang out with Mikey for a while, though . . . ain't he just great! 3nodding
I had fun telling my family members who the masked superhero was, too! It's just too much fun to hear someone ask "who's that?" and be able to reply "Nobody!" blaugh
I guess it'll take a little more time for Mr. Touch and Mr. Go to learn not to stay so far apart from one another, but hearing Mikey call Leo "Mr. Leonardo" after they'd chucked the two into the river was terrific!
Ah, Stockman . . . I wonder if they'll try turning him into a lava lamp soon (which I'd get a laugh out of! wink ), because he really doesn't seem all that important to have around anymore, and I'm not sorry to say it.
As for Hun . . I'm just surprised that, what with all the times he's failed Shredder, he's still in one piece! I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he's the one responsible for Stockman's 'weight loss' . . but really, is he so important &/ or loyal that Shredder doesn't want to do the same to him?

I thought it was pretty darn good.
I liked the superhero costume the ex-cop had and Mikey's superhero costume making a return.
I was also surprised to see Mr. Touch & Mr. Go return. I don't know if that's the end of them though. They could survive, but the water might have short-circuited their "touch & go" system.
When Hun was told to stay back, I thought we would see the return of Shredder at that building where everything was happening at.
At leat the police can confiscate all those guns that melt the walls now. 3nodding
The best part was when Mikey called Leo "Mr. Leonardo" xd
Also to note that, upon closer look at the video game controllers, it looked like it was a variation of the PS2 they might have been playing.
Who else thought Mikey was originally talking about Batman when he and Leo saw that guy in the streets?
I'm worried because they didn't show a preview for next week's episode...which may mean they plan to put on a re-run whee

I was actually gonna do this last night, but I couldn't get into Gaia. Then, less than 2 hours later, my brother was able to sign on stare

Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good episode. The return of Mr. Touch & Mr. Go and Turtle Titan was cool. Nobody rocks (knew about him, but never actually read a comic he was in). And Baxter's head is a hologram. And his brain's still in there, if ya look.

Or I might just be too hyper from my lack of sleep from work. wink I have never liked Mr Touch and Mr. Go, they have too much of the Wonder Twin thing going on and they just seem to think too highly of themselves. I also thought that Shredder might hurt Hun -- not that I'd complain about it . . but it makes it seem like Hun gets more 'saves' than Baxter ever could have earned. I wonder how he saved his butt??

The S The game was "Battle Ravage". I definately thought Hun was gonna get it when Saki smashed the table. Gotta love the "oh s**t I'm gonna die" look on his face, though. Hopefully next week actually will be that new ep. Did anyone else think of Evanescence when they saw this ep's title? no. i actually thought of the avril lavigne song when i saw the title i'm still wondering where Mikey suddenly got the Turtle Titan gear from...

Any thoughts other than a lava lamp? xd Hun has failed Shredder once too many, and I'm sure he'll be getting his "fate" sooner or later. On the other hand, Hun is Saki's bodyguard and "associate" so he cannot afford to lose him. After watching this cartoon, I went back and re-read Tales of the TMNT # 2, (The comic this ep is based on) to balance things out. It was a great read, as always.

What song is that? it's a song of the same name. it's called "Nobody's Fool" it's really good. i heard her do it at some concert on TV and am surprised it never became a hit song. it was a song in a movie soundtrack though. i don't know which one.
