This is a private RP thread for Dollfie's Lilith and ShyBfly's Pistol, currently. Others may join by invitation only. Thanks!
~*~*~ Lilith let out a small huff of annoyance as she stood outside the home that she shared with her brother Adam and her friend, Damia. None of them had gone to the gathering of Serpenti with A'ni and Yukio, and that, to Lilith, had been just fine. After all, she had her brother and a friend to be with already . . . how would meeting a bunch of strangers be interesting? But Adam, for some reason, had gotten in his head the bizarre idea that they should be more sociable . . . and so here she was, just her, being sent off to the main sanctuary building to socialize. What was she, an emissary or something?
She wasn't shy or anything, like Damia. Or totally boring like her brother. Oh no. But the river nearby looked especially lovely on this beautiful sunny day, and she couldn't help but sit down on a warm rock beside it to sun herself an admire the tiny rainbows it made.
Maybe she'd go later.

After spending a little too much time indoors, Pistol had to get outside for some fresh air. The meeting was taking a long time and he was restless. Wandering around outside, he absently headed toward the cool water of the river. The weather was perfect for thinking and that's just what he was doing. Sometimes he liked being alone but he never liked feeling alone. In that big room of strangers, despite a couple of friendly teens, he had started feeling really alone. He was going to the river hoping to catch a school of fish as they traveled through the santuary. They were always good company.
He dipped to scoop up some flat river rocks and was just about to skip them on the water when a small movement caught his eye. "Holy! Uh...I didn't see you there. Wow. Um, I mean, hey there. Who are you?"
The girl serpentri had seemingly appeared out of nowhere catching the normally quiet teen totally off guard. Great first impression, she's gonna think I'm an idiot. He was still awkwardly holding the fistful of stones but just stood there waiting for an answer. For some reason he was suddenly very aware of his ears...

A voice jolted Lilith out of her daydreams, and she tore her eyes away from the river's rainbows to look. There, just a few meters away, was another Serpenti! Lilith couldn't help but stare for a moment at the young male, so like her brother and yet so very not. His vivid pink hair fascinated her, though despite his flashy colors he appeared fairly normal. She supposed it couldn't hurt to do some socializing with him, since that's what she was supposed to be doing now anyway. He seemed like a decent enough sort, so why not?
"I'm Lilith," she said, smiling impishly. "What's your name?"
Moving closer to him, she noticed that he was holding a handful of rocks, as if he was about to throw them towards the river . . . which was full of fish. But a net was so much more useful for catching them, so he must really be hungry. "I've heard that the marketplace sells some delicious food, so you could go there and get something, if you're hungry," she suggested hesitantly. She'd never actually been to the market, but from what her brother had told her, you could buy just about anything there.

It was a bit strange to be looked at like that, but all he could do was stand there and look right back at her. "I'm Pistol." He smiled a bit before looking away.
"Fish? Oh..." He remembered the rocks in his hand and hastily dropped them into the nearby water. "No, I was just... messing around. I'm fine." A light blush rose on his cheeks after being "caught" doing such a childish thing. Though he realized that she didn't seem to be judging him, she seemed sincere.
He had never been to the market alone either and was still a bit intimidated by it. "Did you want to go? I could go with you Lilith, if you want." His eyes strayed to the side as he asked. She was pretty and looking at her made him feel strange so he kept his gaze fixed on the river.

Lilith's eyes widened at the other's suggestion. The market? Her? All alone? But she wasn't really alone, she realized. She had Pistol . . . her new friend? He really wasn't at all like her friend Damia, though.
"Hum, well, I'm supposed to be going to the main building to 'socialize'," she said sheepishly. "But . . . the marketplace sounds kinda neat, and I think I'd like to socialize with you instead." She smiled brightly. "So let's! What do you think they have there, anyway?"
Lilith moved beside him to head to the market together, though stopped further away than she might've and averted her eyes, uncharacteristically shy. She vowed, from that day on, never to tease her roommate about her shyness again.

A nervous smile flashed as Pistol headed toward the marketplace aside Lilith. His cheeks were still hot, but not with embarassment. He never had a crush before, but he had an idea that this was how it would feel.
As they neared the bustling group of shops, Pistol's palms started to sweat a bit. He didn't like being a such a big crowd, it made him feel small. " I don't know what they have." but I hope it doesn't cost much. Without thinking, he moved closer to Lilith. Knowing he wasn't alone helped him look forward to the unknown.

Lilith took in the sights of the marketplace with wonder as they approached. There were so many things! And so many other Serpenti! She'd never been in a real crowd before, though Pistol's presence beside her was reassuring. She felt strangely safe with him, though she couldn't quite pinpoint why.
As she started to head through the first stands of the marketplace, a particularly colorful one caught her eye -- and her nose! Draped in brilliant reds and blues, the small food stand was the souce of a savory smell. Without giving it a thought, Lilith took Pistol's hand and pointed to the stand with her other one. "There you go, some food!" She said happily. "It smells kinda like fish, too." She slipped her free hand into her purse and fingered the coins Adam had given to her to buy lunch with, hoping that Pistol would find something he liked.

The soft grip made Pistol's stomach flip flop. "Uh, wow. They have a bunch of fish. What do you like best?" He took a deep breath of all the food but caught a whiff of Lilith's blond hair. The sweet scent eased his nervousness and he flashed a confident smile. "Have you ever tried salmon? It's my favorite."
The crowd seemed to quiet as she browsed the stand, still holding tight to Pistol's hand.

Lilith rarely ate fish, so had never heard of salmon. But if Pistol liked it, she'd certainly try it. "Salmon sounds good to me!" she returned his smile, less shy now. She dug around in her purse and pulled out a coin to hand to the merchant, who, after a brief exchange, handed them each a good sized piece of salmon wrapped in a soft flatbread with greens.
"Hmm," Lilith said thoughtfully. "Seems a bit quiet here now, like everyone left!" She looked around, and saw that there were still a lot of people . . . they were all just sitting under the trees and at the tables, eating! "Must be lunch break," she concluded. "Do you want to sit down too, or should be look around more?" Lilith asked uncertainly, turning her gaze on Pistol and giving his hand a small squeeze.
[OOC: I'm so sorry for the delay! It's finals time so my brain has been fried xd ]

Pistol blinked with distraction when she sqeezed his hand. At first he couldn't think, but eventually he snapped out of it enough to answer. "Let's sit over there. It's pretty empty." He headed toward a smaller tree that was away from the crowd. "So, um...do you hang out by the river all the time?" Making small talk wasn't his strength but he wanted to talk to her. He wasn't used to talking to a girl.
Sharing the fish with Lilith made Pistol feel happy and comfortable. He relaxed enough to laugh and talk without feeling embarrased.

Pausing betwn bites, Lilith cocked her head to the side. "The river?" She shook her head. "Nope, I don't hang out there much . . .or anywhere really . . . I usually stay with my brother and my friend Damia where we live," she told Pistol sheepishly. "But I should thank my brother for making me go out today. I met you!" she chirped happily. Lilith chewed thoughtfully on her lunch, unable to shake the feeling that she had forgotten something.
Brushing the feling aside, she instead focused on the boy beside her, who she was inexplicably curious about. "And what about you? Where do you like to go, Pistol?"
