I remember when I first came to the PPS.
There was at least ten new topics a day. And on some days I missed a few of them.
But now, they're still the same topics.
One or two new topics every few days. Maybe.
Now, since Volly has been away for awhile, and we no longer have our lead penguin with us 24/7 anymore (D: I miss yooou), there have been alot less contests and people joining our splendid guild.
So, I was thinking. Maybe a few people should make some mules to use for inviting people to the PPS. And maybe go on it for a few minutes a day just inviting some girls. May it be their friends or eligible looking people within Gaia's forums?
Anything.
And moar contestsss. If you guys have an idea for a contest, please, post it! D:! The PPS was so much more fun with things like Princess Day, and the video contest!
(I have been planning a little Secret Santa thing, but I didn't want to post about it until December, since November is a bit too early to be talking about Christmas. x: In my opinion, anyway.)
Or if people want to have a get together at whatever moment. Just post and say, "YA HAI IF U WANNA GT 2GETHA @ DIS PLCE DEN GO DER! *insert where here*"
... Eh. You get what I mean. xD

I don't want this awesome guild to die! I've had sooo much fun here, and I would be very disappointed if it went splat on me!

I agree! Although I am partly to blame... NaNoWriMo totally took me over during November. Shame on me. :/ I like the thought of inviting people to join the guild. That's always a good idea. We need a major event to get people back into it.

in volly's thread when someone mentioned the guild dying, it got me thinking, too.
it needs to liiiiive, dammit.
but i was thinking more along the lines of a purge.
kind of go through the members and get rid of those that are never around.
then start inviting more.
like a pps genocide, only better.
and no one actually dies.
or maybe getting the, um, head people whose names i can't remember...mods? is that it? ugh. whatever. getting the mods together and kind of giving them all something to do to help bring this place back to life. y'know?
maybe it only makes sense to me...

I shall use my captainly powers for the good of the PPS. I give my loverly VCs and anybody else who has the power bequeathed tot hem the power to get rid of anybody who never posts. Aaaand...I will donate 8,250 in prizes for any contests for posting. It's to get things kicked off. Like people who get 10 active members to join, blahdy blah blah things like that. I will give equal amounts to all vc's to use as they so wish. as well as items i will no longer be using as I am not playing as much. I will clear out my inventory for you guys to use for contests and such.

So, I have been thinking about this, and, well, our guild is most definitely dying. I think that the first step is to get rid of everyone with a zero post count. Yes, we do need to invite more people, but I think that only the mods should be allowed to do that. If everyone could invite whoever they wanted, the guild would fall into the same problem. If you need more mods to invite more people, I’m sure a lot of people would volunteer. (I’d volunteer! xD) Also, more contests would definitely help. Come on y’all! Churn out those ideas! =]

Lolz, okay I've got and idea.
Maybe you could cut down on how many sub forums there are, and then...
Make it illegal to post in the main forum, therefore forcing people to go to the subforums.
Then you take maybe the first page of threads from the main forum, and delete the others and only use the main forum for announcements and stickies. (And maybe contests? Because then everyone will see it when they come in?)
But you could also keep like a chat sticky in the main forum, just for random chatting that it isn't necessary to make a new thread for.
That's my idea. I've seen guilds like that and they seem to function better.
But I know that having everything in the main forum is convenient, so you may not like this idea. But you know, I just wanted to throw that out there.

I'd also volunteer to help with banning people who never post. It's very common for guilds to do that, and I think it's a reasonable idea. People who don't post are kind of pointless to have in the guild, and I'm sure there's a lot of them for various reasons. But I also think maybe just no zero posts, maybe anyone with like under ten posts or something. Because a lot of people join, post one day, and then vanish.
@Captain - I like having everything in the main forum. :/ I forget about the subforums, lol. But I agree that if we cut down on the number of subforums, it might be easier...
@Volly - as much as we miss you, it seems like everyone goes through a period of break on Gaia. Strange that way. :/ But it happens to everyone. Maybe someday you'll come back to us, refreshed and ready to go!

theres so many subforums for so little activity, y'know?
i think that if more people were active, then the subforums might be more active, also.
so, all of our problems lie within our lack of members.
pretty much, anyway.
also, maybe we could go through the subforums and delete any inactive posts to kind of clean up the place.
that way, when more members come in, its not so overwhelming and old old old threads won't get resurrected a million times.

About the sub-forum stuffs... we could probably combine alot of them.
Aaaand, addressing the sticky deal, it would probably be a good idea to have a little "PPS Corner". Lol, stealing Komiko's Korner.
