God, I was scared today.
In our cafeteria at our Middle School, there was another fight. Not one of those cat fights, or just some trash talk, I mean a real fight. Actually, it was very unfair. A girl and a boy were having a heated discussion, when she stood up to scream at him. He grabbed her by her hair, slammed her on the table, and started bashing her head. I was currently up and walking to get my Ice Cream, when I screamed and ran back to my table. The administrators were called, and escorted the guy out of the cafeteria. The girl was led out with a bloody head and face. She couldn't even walk straight.
Is it me, or is our world getting more violent? No, it is not just me.
Anybody else had an experience like this?

(I have no idea how to spell that) You spelled that right 3nodding @ Midori: Why don't you go to public school? As long as you can watch your back you should be ok, not to mention you could break up fights if you really wanted to.

See, the problem is that they make the teachers sit at one end of the cafeteria, and the students in the other. By the time the teachers can manouver around the students to get to the back where the fight was, it was too late.

Eh heh. ^^; Aye. I was friends with a guy who kinda drank a lot and got really mad when people messed with his girlfriend. I saw the first time, some girls were yellin crap at his girlfriend while he was sitting beside her, so he got pissed, got up, went over, flipped their table over on them, and then went at them, but the vice principal caught and held him (had trouble). The second time I didn't see. I think one of the same girls had been running her mouth, and he ended up with her against a wall, beatin her head on it from what I heard, and even ripped some of her hair out. >.<
Doesn't happen often, but it does seem to be more common these days.

that sucks...
but i don't think the world is getting more violent, we just hear about it more and they keep records of s**t going down now.
my step-dad once told me about how when he was in junior high ((waaaay back in the early 60s)), a kid came to school with a gun and actually shot @ someone.
no one was hurt, he was sent home and his parents were given a talking to and that was it.
bradford said "that kid was having a bad day!"
also, my grandpa once told me about how a boy in his one room school got into a fight with another boy and they FLUNG THEMSELVES OUT THE WINDOW. eek THAT is violence!
the truth is, people are a LOT nicer and more courteous to each other than they used to be on the whole. its just that doesn't make awesome news, ya know? 3nodding

What they do here is that they have some teachers wander around and watch over the students during lunch.

Makes u glad to be a black belt ^_^ Not only would you not be in that situation, you also have more options than to scream and run mrgreen on the other hand, never get involved in a domestic
Sounds like that programme on discovery...America's hardest prisons. You know, when they're in the cafeteria and suddenly a knife fight starts? Your description reminds me of that
Kinda sad really...
