Since my other RP died back there, *glares at the people who refused to post in the thread* I decided to start a new RP in which people will hopefully be more dilligent when it comes to posting. I try to be nice, but there's only so much I can take when it comes to not posting. And this time around I will find a new person to play any part that hasn't been posting on a somewhat regular basis. Okay, so now that that's done, the theme of the RP is Phantom of the Paradise, because I recently discovered the joys of that movie and it is my new obsession. It will be a literate RP, or semi-literate anyway. I don't mind if you have writers block, or there's nothing much to say and you can only write a paragraph. It's happened to all of us. But I don't want posts that are very short, or *shudders* use chatspeak or no punctuation and/or capitilization. I cannot stand an over-amount chatspeak and horrible punctuation. Storyline Okay, for those familliar with the movie, it's just based on that. Except it''s an alternate universe RP, and we can change the story and stuff. Besides, in my opinion anyway, roleplays that ridgidly stick to the plot of the movie aren''t as exiting, because everybody knows what will happen and stuff. The RP will be postponed until she comes back because there's no way we can do a PotP RP without a Winslow. 9/3/05 Utakan is back. If she's up to it, we'll continue with the RP. Ooh, yay. Someone wants to do a PotP RP.
Now, to get people here interested you might wanna explain the plot (is it going by the film or something else, yatta yatta) and then give a link once you''ve set the thread up.

Erm... good luck! I'd join, but... you see... I was sort of... O_< Scarred by that movie. My mind is trying to block out everything that happened in that movie, and it's doing a damned good job. xd <3 Good luck!

Yeah is it going to be an alternate universe one? Because I was watching the movie and any side stories seemed hard to work in.
Like would it be if Swan didn't die and Winslow didn't die kinda thing?

Ok, thanks for your support guys. And yeah, it will be the alternate universe type roleplay (I didn't know the changeable RPs were called that until now...not a huge RPer. I never get to any in time to get a good part.)
But yeah, I'll have to put some kind of explanation about the story in. Maybe that'll get somebody to join.

-__- There's nothing terrible about me being in about one dozen roleplays all at once. And as PB said, it's really nice to see a PotP RP. I run one that's slightly like it, but has its own "flavor" and slightly influenced by the regular PotO too. That and nobody's active in it since June. >> *cough* But yes! On with the.. erm... stuff! *acting silly tonight*

Well, the thread its in now isn't the original thread. I lost it once because of a Gaia glitch and then lost the first few pages of the second try with another glitch. So this is the third thread and it's where we'd left it off. Phantom of the Rock HallIt's my baby. *huggles RP*

Ah, I just saw that movie... *shivers* now I see why so many phangals like it. Swan (Who, in my opinion, was the Raoul of the story, and what a fop he was!) was the bad guy and Windslow (Our phantom) was really a good guy at heart.
Well, although I didn't like it (Creepy ending, people just parading around the dead people like its nothing.. Almost as creepy as the scene with the slicing off body parts during the song), I give this rp my support.

Okay, I finally got off my lazy a** and actually put up stuff about the story and casting and all. (About time.) I do not intend this to die, I just have a horrible memory, and kept forgetting to add that stuff. I had to write a note on my wrist to get me to put it up today. Blegh.
