Hmm, I must say I do love Pearlman's playing in general, but I find Stern's playing to be a bit too aggressive. Not to say he isn't amazing, but he could be a lot more musical. The best example of this is with the newer recording of Dvorak's piano trios with Yo Yo Ma and Jaime Laredo. Blah blah blah... I'm tired. :s

Unfortunatly we just get photocopies, and I lost mine. sweatdrop When I find it, I'll let you know. biggrin I'm assuming we're talking about the same song... the one that is played like a tango, and almost everyone can hum along with the melody even if they're not classically enclined (because so many people know it, I mean)?

Schindler's list is a movie you must see biggrin it's about stories from the Holocaust, basically the Jewish community wanted to make this movie in memory of Schindler who helped the Jewish population in WWII but was still tried as a war criminal. It has the most lovely theme, most of the violin solos in it were played by Itzhak Perlman biggrin

I also really like Joshua Bell, but they try too hard to make him a sex symbol; he's not so young anymore, and it's kind of amusing rather than dreamy. xd

I first heard Itzak preform in Bach's Concerto for Two Violins. I would die for that piece.

Ditto. My best friend performed it in February for a solo and ensemble festival with another mutual friend. I love that piece, it's so beautiful!
