Continued from main thread ^^ (26th Nov '07) Elven_Chick13 Melody:Trots into the thread, humming an upbeat christmas tune.Honaw: The piratey bear follows along behind her, humming a pirate song loudly, to drown out Melody's Christmas one. twisted Dixie Scythe slowly makes his way in. It had been many months since he had set out on his journey. He was anxious to get back home and around familiar faces. It had been a lonely trek for him. Elven_Chick13 Honaw: He spied Scythe before Melody as she had been humming with her eyes closed. He stopped his piratey hum and sat back and watched as the unaware Melody walked right into Scythe.
He laughed under his breath. "Shouldn't sing with your eyes closed Melody."Melody: Her green eyes flew upon as she crashed into him and let out a startled musical squeak, landing almost on her face. Dixie Scythe moved quickly as he saw the mare falling. He moved his body to press against her side in an attempt to keep her on her feet. "I'm -so- sorry." he had gotten past his stuttering stage, for the most part. "I didn't see you there. I appologize, Miss." Even though he was scary in looks, he tried to be courteous in actions. Elven_Chick13 Honaw: He looked slightly disappointed, he would have enjoyed to have seen Melody yelled at. xp Melody: She settled herself, taking a proper look to see who had hit her. She was slightly stunned by his polite words, considering he looked slightly fierce. Of course looks could be decieving.
"I suppose I must accept your apology." She said with a cheeky smile. "I'm sure Honaw could have warned me if he had wanted to..." She nodded towards her bear familiar. Dixie Scythe couldn't help but to smile, his ears perked up. "Well, I suppose you'll have to. I'm quite stubborn and would only insist." He nodded in greetings to Honaw. "I think I heard a laugh from him." Scythe snorted a bit. "It's only proper I get your name after almost trampling you. I'm Scythe." He looked back and forth between the two. Elven_Chick13 Melody: She was quite amused. "Well I don't think your the only one who can be quite stubborn. Sadly, it is impossible to make him apoligize for anything." She poked Honaw with her nose.
Looking back at Scythe she smiled. "Thats a cool name. I'm Melody."Honaw: "You were correct in thinking I laughed, it was very funny indeed." He said with a smirk. "Too right I would never apoligize." He looked grumpily from Melody to Scythe before snorting. "I'm going back to the teepee." Melody: "Think he needs his nap." She whispered to Scythe with a small chuckle. Dixie "Pleasure to meet you, Melody. And, thanks. It's definately a...different name." Scythe grinned then turned to Honaw, he took a few steps closer and nosed him a bit, getting his scent. Scythe hadn't seen one of these creatures. He turned back to Melody with questioning eyes. "What is he?" Elven_Chick13 Melody: She noticed his comment about his name. "Well different isn't always a bad thing." She smiled before her eyes widened as Scythe nosed Honaw, worried that Honaw would start getting angry. "His a bear....bears tend to be very grumpy creatures." She added softly. She noticed his face go slightly red. "Honaw now don't get mad."Honaw: "What am I!?" He looked rather fierce suddenly, he didn't like being examined. "You listen 'ere..." He was cut off by Melody however, who sung one of his favourite pirate chants.
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot./Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!/We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot./Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
When the song finished he was a lot more calm. "I'm definately going to the teepee now." He said with a soft yawn, padding away.
Dixie Scythe straigtened up quickly, Honaw having caught him off guard. His eyes wide he didn't know what to say exactly, Scythe hadn't meant to offend him.
His ears flattened against his head as he looked to Melody. "I didn't mean to offend your friend." he said in a low voice as Honaw walked away. Scythe blinked a few times. "Should I have known that?"

Melody smiled lightly. "I know you didn't. It is in soquili nature to be curious. Besides, knowing Honaw I doubt he was offended, he just takes many things the wrong way as he has a grumpy temprement." She nodded, blue curls swishing with the movement. "Thats just bears for you. Being a pirate bear it probably increases his bad temper by 20%." She giggled, her laugh sounding rather musical.
She looked at him carefully. "You look rather tired." She grinned. "You have the face of someone whos just been on a journey. Am I right? How exciting."

Scythe's ears perked up at the sound of her laughter. Her voice came across the wind like, well, a melody. He returned the smile, his head tilting to one side. " I pirate bear. I'll have to remember what those are so I won't have to ask another one. " He laughed.
His smile fell for just a moment as she asked him about a journey. " You're correct. " his tail swished back and forth as he moved his body weight from one side to the other. "I've been gone for many months now. I'm just returning...Hopeful that my home still stands and my friends are alive." He looked at the ground then back up to her "It was a last minute decision to leave, I didn't even get to tell them good bye."
He had left in the middle of the night, leaving his home, his friends, and his mate. He hadn't seen or heard of her since he returned. He hoped that she was well, he hoped that all of his friends were well.

Melody: She listened curiously as he spoke of his journey. It seemed he was saddened by leaving.
Always having something to say on any subject, she said lightly. "I'm sure everything will be pretty much the same as when you left." She gave an encouraging nod. "I mean, I havn't heard of any major disastors...I'm sure they are well and looking forward to seeing you again." She nodded again then suddenly grinned, remembering something. "I went on a little journey myself, a couple of months. I like to think of it as a music tour." She looked rather pleased.
"Anyway, this journey of yours must have been important to leave so quickly." She stated curiously, perhaps fishing for more information. She did enjoy the occasional tale or adventure stories.

Scythe appreciated her positive outlook. He definatley needed to try to remain positive until he made sure things were okay. Scythe nodded slowly. "I'm sure they are, but, you can't help to wonder about things you care about sometimes." His eyes cut over to her, he smiled a bit. "What did you journey for?" His ears perked as he listened. "I had...I had to find myself, if that makes sense." He looked over to Melody with hopeful eyes. "I mean...." He opened his wings and broadened his shoulders and chest. "Look at me. I've gone for so long with others either scared of me or wanting to fight me...I just had to go and accept myself for what I am." He paused for a moment, then continued. "I've found I like myself...even if others don't. They'd like me too if they gave me the chance." His head tilted to one side as he waited.

Melody: Her eyes brightened and she chuckled softly. "Well my journey was to spread my music even further."
She went quiet as she listened to him explain his, her head tilted slightly. "You know what the problem was. You cared too much about what those others thought of you. Those ninnys didn't deserve your attention anyway." She chuckled again. "I'm glad that seems to have been fixed by your journey." She nodded and smiled, appearing deep in thought for a moment. "You can't judge soquili by appearence alone. I mean that would be silly. I don't see why others should feel any differently." She tossed her mane in disbelief, before poking him playfully. "Just care about what your real friends think. You have a good attitude."

Scythe laughed at Melody's words, he knew she was right. "You know, I'm going to try my best to do that." he smiled over to her as she picked on him.
"Music, eh?" His ears perked and his head tilted a little bit, "What type of music? I...I heard you singing earlier," He hoped she wouldn't think he was being intrusive, "You have a marvelous voice." Scythe shifted his weight from one side to the other, he was hopeing she would sing a little bit more for him, he loved to listen to song and music.

Melody: She nodded and brightened as he asked her about her music. "Thankyou. Well I have been known for rock music but of late it's been other types also." She grinned again. "For instance, Honaw gets me to sing the old piratey songs as you heard before." There was yet another type of music she had been singing to recently, thinking of it making her smile.
She shook her head realizing she was sort of off day dreaming. She grinned rather sheepishly. "Anyway. As you know I'm good at music. What do you like to do or are good at?" She asked curiously before suddenly remembering to add proudly. "Oh and I could sing you something else if you'd like me to."

"Rock music, eh?" He grinned and his ears perked. "Now that could be an interesting sight to see!" He nickered slightly. "I can't really say I have any talents," he paused for a moment as he thought. "I um...well, no...I guess I'm just kind of plain." His nose wrinkled up a little, he'd never really thought about what his talent would be.
He shook his head and returned his attention to Melody. "Would you mind?" his eyes lit up a bit, he'd love to hear her sing another song. "What's your favorite?"

Melody: "I bet you have something, perhaps you don't even realise it your so good at it!" She giggled before preparing herself to sing. "I don't mind at all. I shall sing one of my old band's most popular songs." She closed her eyes before beating out a catchy tune.

"Yeah...maybe." He replied as Melody settled herself to sing.
Scythe found himself bobbing his head slightly in rythm (sp?) as Melody sang. His tail also swishing back and forth with the beat. Once she was finished, he excitedly spoke
"Melody, You're great! You should get paid for that!" He pawed at the ground then bounced slightly. " Have you ever thought of starting a business of some sort?" Scythe wasn't sure what type of business she could start by singing, but he was sure she'd be good at it!

Melody: She looked pleased by the praise, nothing better than others enjoying her music. "Thankyou. One of the original songs of Melody." She grinned, amused by his excitement. She paused to think for a moment. "A business hmm. I just love spreading my music as far as possible. If there was a business that would help that further. I mean all that wonderous fame." She chuckled to herself.

"What about..." His ears flicked and his head tilted as he though, "You could sing at ceremonies or parties!" He nodded.
"Any type of festive event, I'm sure others would love a singer! All you have to do is advertise and get word out of how great you are!" Scythe nodded and smiled. Word of mouth would be a great way to advertise, he'd have no problem at all helping Melody get word out.

Melody: She bobbed her head excitedly. "Ooo that sounds cool. If theres ever any parties on I could sing at them!" She grinned again. "I've sang plenty for audiences but not at parties really. Wonder why I didn't think of it." She nodded and chuckled. "Festive events I love singing at! Christmas is so awesome. You have a good Christmas?"

"I think they'd love it! You just have to let people know that's the business you're in." He nodded and smiled.
"I did!" He looked a little embarassed, a smile crossed his face. "I met a mare during the season. What of you? How was your holiday?"
