Their love was a very interesting roller coaster. It gave her a high that she never knew existed and it was one she never wanted to get off of. There were some dips in the ride that bothered her... Such as his leaving to sort out mental issues, the sibling rivalry between their two sons, and the dramatic reuniting they had done merely a week ago. But the train as coming back up from it's dip, and Cosette prayed that it was going to stay that way.

One thing that wasn't staying the same however, was her form. During her first pregnancy, Cosette hadn't noticed until she was far into it. She didn't put her chubby-ness with a lustful night with her mate. But she wasn't so naive as to why she was chubby now. Standing at the back of their cave, she bothered her lower lip as she looked at her growing belly. He didn't know quite yet... Or did he? She had only noticed the growing bump that day... Maybe it was expected?

It did seem like whenever they went through some kind of dramatic event, they got a little intimate. And with that came foals. She pursed her lips with annoyance as she looked away from herself and began to walk over to the mouth of the cave, looking for Twilight.

The morning had been young and prosperous for the stallion; for once having had a decent night sleep with not a dream in sight. Hell; he'd had a dreamless night's rest....he felt like a whole new stallion! Trotting merrily back to the cave where he knew his mate resided; a branch of apples carried like the utmost of prize in his jaws. It seemed that life had started anew this past little bit; their raw emotional night still lingering fresh on his mind. It was strange how two soquili who loved one another so much could hide such horrid secrets from one another; yet they were young star crossed lovers, what could one expect?

With their children out starting their lives; Twilight found it a lot easier to start adjusting to family life with just he and Cosette. They'd become a lot closer in his opinion and he found it harder and harder to leave! Twilight knew what he had to do....he had to find his three children and make amends for his lack of parenting; for their lack of a family unit. They might have been too young to realize the full responsibility of having foals; but he'd be damned if Zevach, Marius and Eponine didn't know that they had devoted parents who wanted to be a part of their lives; or at least have them visit their mother and him every once and a while.

Pushing past the bushes which concealed their home from the outside world; the large stallion stepped across the grass and neared the entrance to the cave. "Cosette? Are you home? I have something for you..." He grinned merrily, his tail flicking behind him.

Cosette jolted a bit at his voice and turned sharply to look at him. Her hooves shuffled a bit to stand at an angle where her belly would be less visible. She offered him a large smile, which was genuine, but a tad strained. The branch baring the apples looked good; she was almost shocked that apples still grew when winter was approaching. She dismissed the thought and looked bck to him, clearing her throat.

Maybe it'd be best to tell him after they ate...

"And what do you have here, Twilight?" She teased, appraising the branch's fruits playfully, eyes flcikering to him. She prayed he wouldn't pick up on her uneasiness, but if he did, it would prove that he was anattentive mate. These were one of the times it'd be totally okay with her if he wasn't, however!

Chuckling lightly as he laid eyes on his newfound mate, he could feel the butterflies return to his chest like they had upon their meeting...it looked like things were finally back to normal in his life. Sure; there were still a few moments where his condition got the better of him but he learned how to cope easily and return back to his beloved as if they were still young adults before the kids.

"Apples....last of the season i'm afraid. Winter's coming down from the mountains, the snow is already touching the base of the mountains. I had to get these close to the sea."

Setting the branch on one of the natural rocky ledges the cave had to offer, Twilight turned his attention back to his mate and took a bit of a double take at what he saw. Was her stomach...large than usual? None the less, Twilight was a wise stallion and knew better than to comment on anything related to a mare's weight. Stepping forth he kissed at her cheek, resting his nose against her own. "I see your winter coat is coming in nicely; although its going to be sad it wont be as thick and cozy like it was when we went up north. I know i'm going to miss the heat." He grinned a bit goofily; speaking nothing but the truth.

Cosette nodded solemnly at the enws. Yes, winter was settling in... Well, at least there would be food down on the lower grounds closer to the beach. It would probably be better for them to move, but she was fairly sure she was not in the condition to move. What if she had to give birth on their travels? That would not be pleasant, and there were two-leggers nearby to help her with the baskets.

"It's alright. You make sure you take what you need to eat; I'm not taking the whole branch!" She laughe da little, but she knew she'd be hogging the branc. Their futre kids needed a meal too! She wanted t tell him... But... She shook the thought off and glanced away momentarily, though brought back her attention onto him when he nuzzled her. It as a comforting feeling. Cosette tensed a bit when he brought up her coat. Yes, that was getting fuller... 'Just like your belly!' Her mind scolded her. "I'm not," she rolled her eyes dramtically. "I'm not as fond of the heat as the cold, you should know," sheteasingly said, pulling away a bit.

Mightas well tell him! Maybe he already knew?

"My coat isn't the only thing that's coming in nicely." She said, her eyes flickering to her belly and then to him. Hopefully he would get what she was hinting at.

Flicking his tail thoughtfully, the stallion nickered gently into the semi lit cave towards his mate. "Actually I made sure to have some before my glorious return, this branch is purely for you; Love." Oh yes, Twilight had most definately taken on his new role as Mate/Father/Stallion to a whole new level. Thoughtful, attentive and supportive was his main priorities and despite the occasional nagging urge to venture off into new uncharted lands the male reminded him that being there for his family was sadly uncharted territory. Luckily he was sumberged into new sensations of excitement and satisfaction knowing that someone was waiting for you to walk into the cave everytime you left.

And that feeling was so very intoxicating.

"I know, I know....Although it makes finding food that much more easier if the weather doesn't hide it all in mountains of snow." He chuckled, yet his expression droped to a confused suprise as Cosette side stepped away from him without much notice. "Is something....wrong?" He questioned before she'd spoken up, listening in concern as she took a rather prolonged glance to her stomach and then to him. Sure, she looked like she'd gained a few pounds; yet who was he to say!

"You look lovely dear, you know that i'll always think that no matter wh- wait."

Suddenly the gears started turning in his head.

He'd seen a bump like that before.
The cave up north, and no sooner than he'd realized; they were blessed with Marius, Eponine and Zevach.

Oh god.

"You're....pregnant...again??" He gaped slightly, cerulean orbs wide in shock; rather than a mixture of that and horror at the news of their first batch of children. Twilight at least now knew that these things happened, and it seemed the young couple's luck was cursed with that of caves such as their new home.

"Really? You're sure?" He took a tentative step towards her, nosing at her stomach before moving up to nuzzle at her cheek. "To be perfectly honest, I don't know wether to be jumping for joy or groveling at your hooves for doing this again..." He chuckled a bit sheepishly, his tone of voice jumping up a pitch. Twilight loved children, and the news that he was going to be a father again was fantastic! Yet, there was no denying they were still young; not to mention this was so very unplanned!

Cosette made a face at gim with his offer, though she made no move towards the apples. She didn't know whether or not to believe that he actually did take his share, but she wouldn't argue with him about it. She would throw a hissy if he indeed hadn't eaten with apples coming up scarce. It was a very, very good feeling, knowing that he was with her, and that he was actually acting like her mate. It was a little silly though, the constant "dears" and "loves" being thrown back and forth. Indeed she still was a childish mare at times.

The arctic mare couldn't help but grin and nod thoroughly as the stallion finally noticed what was going on with her. She feigned a look of hurt at his questioning of it, and she took a fewsteps around him, tossing her mane, "I thought you'd know me better than to just gain a few pounds randomly. I'm not a pig," she giggled, walking towards him. His reaction was much, much better than it was the last time.

She reached to nuzzle him lightly, and she roleld her ruby eyes, "Of course, I always thought my bump was obvious. Shouldn't be long till we have foals to dote on again." She said quietly but not with a hint of sadness in her voice. She was indeed extremely excited for her second pregnancy. At least she knew what was going on this time!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 19, 2007 12:16 am

"I know, I know....you've always been perfect....this is just so; wow. Unexpected." Flushing slightly as he could only offer a silly grin, watching her curiously as she took her time in strutting around him in a fashion that she must have known would make him nothing but an obedient little puppy. How could he be so lucky to start to get his life back in order than then suddenly be thrown the prospect of more beautiful children! He must had done something really, really good in his life to deserve all of this.

Perhaps it was all those bugs and tiny creatures he'd saved as a foal?

Feeling a wave of relief as Cosette seemed to be nothing but happy and joyous over her second pregnancy; the stallion felt his guard let down as his own excitement began to shine forth. "Father....again. Who would have thought? This will be wonderful...we'll get to see more lives come into this world and we'll teach them everything they need to know; do you think the other kids will be excited?" Curious, he nuzzled his nose against her belly before chuckling, already wondering what precious little souls were residing in her tummy.

"We have all the time in the world, but it seems it won't come soon enough; Cosette."

----------------------------**-----------------------

Who would have known how much of an understatement that would be!

The time had all but flown by in the speed of light that Cosette had been in labor; the foals they were so excited to be having finally decided to be blessed into the world! He knew back at the cave his new little additions to the family lay in their protective baskets, summoning their strength in rest before they'd make their first appearance into the world. Twilight had visited one of the nearby villages and had borrowed a cloth to soak in the cold stream near their cave to give to his mate; undoubtedly she'd be worn out from the ordeal - no matter how young and now with experience she was!

Walking back to their home with haste in his stepping; he entered the cave with a proud smirk on his face. "Cosette....how are you feeling?" He asked, concerned as he draped the soaking cloth on her forehead and stood beside her while looking down at the two baskets before them. He'd already seen the foals inside....another son and a baby girl. Oh how they both reminded him so much of their previous kids. The boy was dark; much like his two brothers, yet with hair and colorations down to the key with himself and Cosette.

their new little daughter already sent his mind into a flashback of Eponine; their baby girl. It amused him that their girls were both so obviously lighter than the boys in the family, taking after their mother while the boys took after him. Although like Eponine was the only one to not have any sort of swirly markings; their new daughter was the only of the children to have dark hair. Yet it struck him....the only other member of his family to have such ebony hair was..

"Kalm...."

He spoke a bit sadly; but smiled. The only memories of his brother was the few times as foals that they interacted; both wild and itching for adventure. Yet he was easily able to remember his brother's attributes, blue fur like their mother and dark ebony hair. otherwise he was positive the rest of his family donned white hair - a few with the teal tips; including himself.

"They are amazing....Cosette."

She was soooo grateful that she had experiene with being pregnant. The pain this time with foal birth wasn't as intense the first time around, and there was less to give birth to. Time had flown by since she had told her mate about her pregnancy, and now here she lay, out of breath and watching her basketsout of half-lidded eyes. A light smile graced her dark lips as she studied the baskets, awaiting the return of Twilight. She was a proud, but extremely tired mother.

But when he came back into their humble little home, she couldn't help but feel a bit of an energy pick up. Her smile widened and she watched him place the cloth on her forehead. "Oh, tired, sweaty.... The works," she said teasingly, murmuring a wordof thanks for the coolness that swept over her head. Her eyes had flown back to the baskets at the name, her brows knitted together. Kalm was his brother...

"Twilight..." She murmured, trying to sit up. She eyed him warily for a moment, before flashing a large grin. "Well of course they are! They are our kids, afterall. Just saying incase you forgot~" She teased. The arctic mare hadn't gotten a good look at her children. They were so quickly put into their baskets... She wondered if he was refering to the little filly or the colt.

Another little girl and little boy. Oh, how exciting!
PostPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2007 2:07 pm

"Careful....Let me help you." Twilight nudged the baskets close to their mother before lowering himself slowly to the ground beside his exhausted mate to let her have something to leand on when she sat up. Nibbling at the cloth in order to adjust it better on her forehead the large stallion could only chuckle and shake his head. "Of course I know they are ours; or at least I would hope so!" He winked playfully; giving the ivory and blue mare beside him a playful nudge with his nose before his eyes trailed back to the baskets before them.

It was often amazing what the two leggers could do with their strange hooves; able to weave straw like they could and then paint them an array of beautiful colours like they took them straight out of the rainbow.

Yet something quickly got his attention, squirming in one of the baskets...some rather vigorous squirming at that. Laughing abruptly, he nosed the basket as the commotion seemed to cease for a moment before picking up again. "It looks like we might have another Zevach on our hands by the looks of it..." He looked to Cosette, eyes full of wondrous excitement. By all means the basket seemed to shake as the little one inside was re-positioning himself in there.

"Lets hope not...." A voice came from the entrance of the cave as none other than Zevach stood against the light of the chilly outside world. His eyes lingering on the baskets in front of his parents. "There's only one of me and thats how I like it." Slowly stepping into the cave, he shared a bit of an uneasy glance between Twilight and Cosette before nearing his mother and leanding down to give her a gentle nuzzle. "Congrats, Mom." He whispered slightly, almost afraid that Marius was lurking in the shadows ready to laugh at him or something retarded like that.

"So these are the new twerps, huh? That one looks like its eaten a bison worth of sweet berries...." He raised his brow, leanding his face down to the darker or the two baskets.

Unfortunately he shouldn't have done that.

Having finally found his strong footing, the little navy colt burst from his basket and smacked straight into his elder brother's face. As the stallion reared back with a cry of utter surprise, the colt gave a happy shrill at the rush he had flying back through the air before being snatched by what appeared to be his father mid air. "Careful...." He warned, but realized it was all an accident whilst setting the colt down on the ground. Staring wide eyes at all the large figures in the room, his ears perked as his little white tail flicked eagerly against his sides, almost naturally shuffling to his hooves with no problems at all.

"Well would you look at that..." Twilight grinned, sharing a glance between his mate and older son.

Well, speak of her little baby! She hadn't expected to see any of her elder children that ay. Perhaps Marius, as he often frequented home, but not Zevach! She rarely ever saw her rambunctious little boy... Cosette swelled up with pride and couldn't help but to laugh at the words he spoke. Having children was great, and to be with her mate and have one of her childrenw ith her made the day even better. She leaned into his nuzzle with a smile, though she kept herself close to Twilight as she did need help supporting herself. When he pulled away, she couldn't help but giggle.

Though her giggling was cut short as one of the baskets popped open, and a colt came bounding out! Ruby eyes watched her youngest son steady himself onto his hooves almost immediatly. A proud smile tugged at the arctic mare's lips and she nearly squealed. Now that was certainly their son! Strong and ready to go!

"Come here, honey..." She cooed, looking over the little colt. He looked so much like his father. He turned out to be a handsome little guy!

The other basket shifted in reaction to hearing her brother already out of his. Why did he leave her behind? The little filly inside the basket whimpered and pushed against the top of hers, moving the lid to the side as best as she could. When light began to filter in from the ouside world, she paused. Was brother really out there? And papa and mama too?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 02, 2008 5:03 am

The small colt shook his small coat abruptly before allowing his ruby orbs to drift towards his family; Momma and Papa and the other large stallion whom he could only imagine be his brother. Letting out a small nicker of adoration as his body pivoted slowly to return to their loving embrace, his eyes caught sight of the shifting basket to his side. Was that his sister? He had subconsiously felt another's presence nearby, and before his birth as a sort of 'sense'; but hadn't really paid too much throught to the idea till now.

Eyeing the basket, then his parents, and then the basket again; the poor colt had a bit of a conundrum on his hooves! Yet fortunately he wasn't one to dwell on his thoughts, and as quick as his little legs could carry him he rushed his parents and bombarded them with nuzzles and kisses before hopping over to his sister's basket and peered inside the container.

"Seeeeeeesyy!" He gleefully ushered out, inable to pronounce the word sister too well. Looking down at the lighter aqua filly with her locks of ebony...it was then that Aiolos felt he had fallen in love with her. She was such a beautiful sister, and already he felt himself attached to her being - willing to do whatever it took just to see a smile on her face. The colt was full of love, already expanding to his parents and siblings with an undying devotion.

Smiling softly, he nickered softly and without a second thought he climbed into the small basket; careful not to harm his sister but squeezed himself down next to her with a small groan from the wicker stretching. Nuzzling himself against her, the colt let out a small happy sigh to be snuggled up to his sister.

Twilight blinked slightly, watching silently as his son had bounded over like he was a yearling with such speed and not just a newborn. He sure received the best from both himself and Cosette; and he was sure that his youngest son was well adept for anything life had to throw his way. "Well....who would have thought." He grinned almost in a daze, leanding down to nuzzle Cosette. "He seems to have everything going for him already...."

Yet the large ebony stallion fell short on his words; fearing another incident like Zevach when he was just coming out of his basket but was pleasantly suprised when his son climbed into his sister's basket instead of stomping on it. "Well....that sure is new." The elder stallion could only laugh out merrily, pushing his body against his mate's for the support incase she wanted to get up.

Zevach rose a brow...despite having a throbbing nose from his new little brother; he also was blessed with having a crazy one at that. He could only hope the best for the filly, perhaps she was like eponine? "Mmmn." He sighed out lightly, standing back for a moment to watch the excitement.

Cosette barely had time to react when Aiolo hopped onto his sister's basket. It occurred ot her in slow motion almost, like a replay of Zevach as a colt. But when Aiolos simply pered in and responded positively, the ivory mare let out a loud, relieved sigh, and leaned heavily against Twilight as she laughed. "Oh dear! For a moment there, I thought we had another little Zevach on our hooves.." She glanced pleasantly towards their eldest son and smiled, "You know very well that you and Marius put us through a lot; don't deny it." She playfully stuck out her tongue, still very much the young mare despite having five children.

The little filly stared wide-eyed up at the mini-horse like herself outside her basket. He looked so much different than her! He looked more like a stormy night, while she was more like the ghost of morning. He wasn't scary however, not at all! She however, was expecting that he'd nduge her out of her basket...

Not climb inside it!

"H-hey!" She yelped, feeling squashed in the basket, but not offended. Her white-haired brother was warm and comfortable... If not also bigger than her. She giggled a little and nudged his cheek playfully, more than happy to share the tiny space with him. He was her brother, anyway.

Her gaze left her nuzzling brother however to the contrasting Soquili nearby. Mama and papa? She clenched her eyes shut and reopened them to find that they were still there! ... Along with a teal stallion? She tilted her head in confusion, and voiced her concerns. "Papa! Mama! ... Dat?" She pursed her lips, pushing Aiolos' nose in the direction of Zevach.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 25, 2008 1:30 am

Giggling light as his sister's soft nose brushed against his cheek, Aiolos was aware that the basket was merely meant for one foal; and not two. His ears perked to the gentle groans of the wicker as it strained against their combined mass. Yet he had many a things to be more concerned about that the possibility of the basket breaking - it wasn't like it was needed anymore anyways!

When his little muzzle was forced into the direction of the large ones; Momma and Papa, he let out a brilliant smile and let his small fluff of a tail flicker in the basket. Yet it seemed his sibling was more interested in the large quiet one near the mouth of the cave. Lowering his head so that his eyes barely peered over the lip of the basket, he watched him with giant eyes and his ears folded back against his skull. If anything he looked more crazy stalker than a secret observer.

"Come come come!" He ushered to his sister and used some of her mane as a rope to pull her down to his level; as if hiding while watching Zevach. He didn't quite know who that was...it kinds looked dark like their father, but had the same markings as both He, momma and his sister. Reguardless....he looked.....

"Cwanky thing!" He declared as he seemed to have figured it out, giving a proud nod of his head.

"WHAT!" Zevach took a double take and snorted, a scowl immediately appearing on his face. How dare that little...prat call him a cranky thing. Hell - wait till they met Marius and they'd see some attitude. Rolling his eyes he looked to his parents for a bit of back up but could only see his father laughing merrily; which only brought a small smile to the teal stallion's face.

He couldn't remember the last time he heard his father laugh.

Walking up to the basket, he peered in at the two little ones inside, smirking and lowering his head close. "No...I am Zevach. Remember it, fear it..." Afterwards he let out a loud, mock evil laugh to try and emphasize the point. Looking back to his mother he grinned merrily, "Oh I know. As long as he's like me....and she's not like him...you'll be fine."

"Oh Zevach, don't be scaring them now..." Twilight urged as his laughing died down, it was true; Aiolos had many of the same qualities as Zevach; but they were so very different even now. Aiolos was so very attached to the family it seemed, and began an immediate love for his little sister. While Zevach was more prone to trying to increase his abilities, Aiolos was more to just use them. Cicely had so much of Marius and Eponine in her, he was very curious to see who exactly she'd become.

Nibbling softly at Cosette's jawline, he looked back towards the two before speaking up; "You know...we should probably name them now. Do you have anything in mind, Cosette?"
