Well, seeing as how he can get anything he wants from his dad's pocket, you should get him something unique that he would never think of getting in a million years. Just an idea.

duct tape with instructions on how to make a duct tape tie/wallet!!! Or, what works for any guy, food. Now what food to give him I'm not sure...chocolate usually works...

make him something! like a scarf or a pin or a bookmark or somehting he likes. Something handcrafted is often much better than something bought. Food's good, but something simple and semi perminant will make him think of you whenever he sees it. My favorite Xmas gifts from friends are handmade.

wait, 13? isn't 13 a little early to be.....

*sigh* nevermind. i keep forgetting that people are getting older, faster these days.

i saw a kid at an elementary school texting on his cell phone. who would you text in elementary school, the kid on the monkey bars?!?!

and don't get me started on 8-year old hookers....

Get him something with his name on it (personalized) like a CTR ring or the scriptures or a tie tac that will help him reach his potential and goals, too.

ok thank you guys SO much for helping! but i think i know what i'm gonna do...

my seminary teacher helped me with thi idea: im going to make him a Denver,Broncos fleece blanket smile . becaue 1)i'll be making it 2)he loves the Broncos 3)he likes to read so i figure he can snuggle up with this to read and 4) he ha been feeling kind of sick lately so while he is at home he can reach for this and it can also be a reminder to him that i am hre for him smile

what do you think?

A blanket will be very nice! I'm sure he'll enjoy it. It's certainly something money can't buy! Maybe something to go with it, since you say he likes to read, is a book you like and think maybe he'll enjoy, and a personalized bookmark with your favorite scripture on it, to hopefully remind him to read the best books of all, the scriptures. 3nodding Then when you give/send it to him, the bookmark can be in the book, and the book in the blanket.

There's this senior in my seminary class who also loves the Broncos. He has a bit of a Broncos theme in his car. (If you're wondering how I know this, I don't date the boy or anything, he's just given me rides when we have Youth Court. Youth Court is where us kids are giving a punishment for first offenses and petty crimes. Not that you really care though.)

True you should do that since he gets what he wants, give him something from the heart. It's the thought that counts right? biggrin

uhm . . . Do you have any special talents?
e.g. I have a friend who's serving his mission in Spokane, Washington. It's really really cold there, and snows a LOT more than here in TN so, since I can crochet fairly well, I made him a scarf to help keep him warm. 3nodding
