Well, there's been a medical report for my uncle, and he has different ailments that can and just might kill him. He only has 3-6 months to live so don't expect me to be on during that time... So someone has to change the quote of the day for me.

PS: Here's the letter my uncle wrote:
Quote:
Dear All,

I need your prayers at this moment and time of my life. Finally, my drug and alcohol abuses has taken its toll. Four weeks ago just after our yearly convivence in NEO I had series of nose bleedings which made me decide to have the routine blood test.

Sad to say , the results were too bad. I showed them to my doctor jammers and was referred to a Gastroenterologist. The doctor said, My Alpha fetoprotein, a tumor marker was at its highest 890 + which is a 99.99% indication that I have malignant cancer tumor in the liver. Medically termed as Hepatocellular Carcinoma. I have cirrhosis of the liver and hepatitis C. I was at first advised to have a TACE (Transarterial Chemoembolization), the latest technology in addressing tumor in the liver. The procedure is a minor surgery wherein a catether will be inserted in my femoral artery (groin artery) trailing the veins direct to the tumor and clogged all the blood supply going to the tumor with a bead and chemoagent to kill the tumor.

As advised by a sister in the community we went to Dr. Ernesto Domingo, the best Gastro enterelogist and hepatologist in Asia. He was the one who handled Sen. Cayetano.
After a very vivid explanation of my medical condition and the disease he advised me not to undergo TACE because it will cost my life. The procedure is to risky because my prothrombing time is very slow ( clotting time) and my platelet counts is very low too., which will definitely cause hemorrhage and no guarantee of stopping it.

The only alternative is a liver transplant in the USA or Singapore and which has to be done within three –four months. But the cost is very very expensive and definitely we can’t afford – Php 9M in Singapor;Php40M in USA. My children volunteered to donate their liver though, but I told them I discount the transplant –we don’t have the finances and I don’t want also to put their life at risk.

Doctor Domingo, although it is not a medical practice told us to find for other alternatives that might help heal me-homeopathic, alternative medicines, faith healers, and many others, but most importantly PRAYERS.

REY

Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me.
I thank you for sending your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ,
to the world to save and to set me free.
I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore me.

Loving Father, touch me now with your healing hands.
For I believe that your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with the most precious blood for your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ
from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.

Cast out anything that should not be in me.
Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells and multiply my healthy cells.
Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas.
Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus' precious blood.

Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body
to heal and to make new any diseased areas so that my body will function.

Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart.
Saturate my entire being with your presence, love, joy and peace
and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life.

And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to do your works
so that my life will bring glory and honor to your holy name.

I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.

That's horrible. I'll pray that everything works out well for him.

I'm not Christian, so whoever I pray to might not be the god you intend to hear. However, you ( and he ) have my sincere regards. I wish you uncle well. I would say more, but then, there is very little I could express over the internet besides my heartfelt wishes for his speediest recovery. Hopefully, neither of you, nor your families, are under a great amount of stress at this news. It's only natural for a person to have these sorts of things as they get older.

<3
I'm just a buddy over the internet, so what I type might not mean much, but I dearly hope that your uncle recovers.

I can't say I'm a Religious person, but if there is a God out there somewhere in any shape or form I beseech them to help your uncle pull through. It must be terrible to suddenly have a set time put to your life so to speak. It just demonstrates another example of how destructive abuse of drugs and alcohol can be.

I wish him all the best. May good fortune cross his path.

Uh, pray? Hnnnnnnnnnnngh...

It's not working.

Unfortunately, there's no way for me to help. But I will say that there was this one person who had a brain tumor that caused him to keep growing, but it somehow killed itself off.

Medical treatment should be free.

I haven't prayed in years, now that I think of it. Life moves so quickly. And just as quickly, do we have the chance of leaving this world. It's always frightening when you know of someone close to you who is about to die. My uncle Terry died last week, which is why I haven't been on that much. Although I was scared for him when he was in the hospital, ready to die at any moment, now I can honestly say that I'm happy for him. I will pray, not only for your uncle, but yourself as well.

Like some of the others I am not a christian. However my heart is with you EMC. I'll do my part to ask the gods for help on behalf of your uncle.

I don't really believe in prayer... But I do hope he survives and all that. Losing someone close to you always sucks...
