 Dusk had fallen, followed by a grand night.. Or what seemed to be the beginning of a grand night. She was enjoying herself now, letting herself wander, cutting loose teh ties that bound her to one spot.
She grinned, letting her unicorn hooves pound into the ground.
She had met so many new friends lately, and her need for social engagements seemed to be diminishing. But she hadnt found what she was looking for yet.
She wasnt looking for love, really. More of a.. little bit of lovin'. Did that mean she didnt want love? Not at all. She'd love to be loved. But she wasnt going to waste her time if it wasnt going to happen. But she figured,time would tell.
She sat, singing her little song that she had come to fancy lately. She'd heard it from Anusha, the two-legger, and it stuck in her head like a bad day.
"I've had a knack, from way back, at breaking the rules, once I learned the game. Get up, lifes too quick, I know some place sick.. where this mare will dance in the flames.. We dont need any money.. I always get in for free.. You can get in too if you get in with me.. Lets go out tonight..
You wanna play? Lets run away, we wont be back before its new years dayyy."

 Walking around in the woods, Cirrus wasn't all too thrilled about nighttime since he preferred the sun to warm his back but he didn't mind. Hearing a voice nearby, Cirrus walked towards Naina. He really hadn't met too many other soquili so it was always nice to see a new face. Tilting his head slightly, Cirrus gazed at Naina with curious eyes. She looked... different. He had never met another soquili with a curly mane and tail... How odd.
Cautiously, Cirrus approached her wondering if she was friendly or not. He didn't want to interrupt so he just stood there listening to her sing.

Her daddy had taught her to listen to the sounds around her when traveling. Had he not, Cirrus might have passed right by her nose without her ever really knowing.
Her mane blew in the light breeze, and she turned to gaze at Cirrus who hid in the shadows watching her. From the dark, her eyes looked like a cat eyes. But she could not see like a cat.
"Show yourself?"
She said, stopping her voice from singing and making it give a command.
Who was this stranger? And what did they want? If it was a Kalona or a Skinwalker, they had another thing coming.. She didnt fear them at all.

Walking out into the moonlight, Cirrus seemed surprised that she seemed a little harsh with her little command. Regardless, he would not judge her until he really got to know her. "Uh. Hello?" Staring at her with observant eyes, he wasn't sure if she was safe to approach or not. His mother had always taught him to be careful around strangers but that was just common knowledge. He waited for her to say something.

"Oh!"
Well he didn't look mean at all, and instantly her command made her feel silly, and she blushed a bit, causing her blue hued cheeks to turn purple.
"Do forgive me! I wasnt sure what you were.. I was being cautious."
She said, offering a kind-hearted smile.
She'd been in a good mood as of late.. Even though many things had gone wrong, she'd heard her mother was back! Oh good! She couldn't wait to see her mother again. But for the time being, teh handsome fellow in front of her would do.

"Oh it's alright." Smiling softly, Cirrus had guessed right, she wasn't that bad. Just being careful... which is exactly what he would have done too. His father was a prime example of that. "So who might you be? I'm Cirrus Strife." He smiled charmingly at the mare wondering what she was thinking of him.
The little blue ribbon swayed slightly as the wind swept past the pair.

"My name's Naina Julianna Belle Morte, but you can easily call me Naina."
She grinned, her eyes bright.
"It's a pleasure Cirrus Strife."
She said, flicking her curls and looking over him.
"And I must say, I adore your ribbon."
She said, leaning close.

"It's a pleasure Naina. You can just call me Cirrus and thank you. It was from my mother." He smiled and fondly thought about his family and his mother's symbolic pink ribbon. "So how are you on this fine night?" After reminiscing, Cirrus smiled once more. He generally was a cheerful soquili and he usually got along with everybody. That made him quite popular among the soquili in his herd.

She smiled. So he was close to his family then? That was a plus. She adored Soquili who liked their families. Hers had repaired itself somewhat, but before she had grown in a very broken family. It had taken her heart, and made her respect family in general.
"I bet your mother is very beautiful."
She said.
She wondered if his mother was blonde like him, or if it was his father who was blonde. She had met very few blonde Soquili. Excluding her friend Spike.. She really didn't consider him.

Tilting his head slightly, Cirrus nodded at her comment. "Yes, she is very beautiful. "What is your family like?" He didn't want to sound prying but he was a curious soquili. He would gladly tell her about his family because even though they weren't that close, he still loved them with all of his heart. He gazed at Naina with observant eyes, she was pretty but he would never say that. He was definitely too shy to really give out any compliments and he always felt awkward when people complimented him.

She said smiling and nodding to him. Her curly ebony tail flipped around her legs as her beaded gems shined in her hair.
"I live with my daddy. But my mother just now came back from the other lands. Im rather excited to see her again."
She said, smiling.

Cirrus nodded enthusiastically, "I see. So why aren't you with her right now?" The stallion had a tendency to tilt his head often. Maybe he was just being really nosy... maybe he should stop... but he couldn't help himself from being curious. He tossed his short mane lazily batting away a few stray gnats that were buzzing around him.

"My mother is the ghost of Christmas Past. She went back to the spirit world to guide some more.. But shes back now. I havent seen her, but I heard it from another."
She nodded. She hoped she didn't sound as crazy as she believed she did. That would be terrible.
After all.. What if she was the only soq. who knew about Christmas?

"Oh. Well that's interesting." He couldn't help but chuckle to himself, that was kind of an important role. But he just shrugged it off. "Hopefully you get to see her soon." Cirrus nodded slightly and smiled at her; he really wasn't totally sure about what she was talking about but he didn't want to look stupid or anything.
