"Oooooo! It's gotten so cold!!!" The black stallion shook out his braided hair in the cooling of the midday. Atum looked within a lake at himself, watching the clouds his nose was creating. This was to be his first winter after all but...He wasn't a fan of this...Cold. He was the son of a desert mare, he belong in the heat...Or with it.
The thoughs of heat reminded Atum of his meet with the firey mare, Ignacia. Some time had passed since their meeting and he had yet to see her again which made the stallion uncomfterble. He had found himself thinking about her alot lately, wondering if she was ok. Sure, he wondered how all of his friends were doing but, he felt..Different towards the fire mare. He shook his head out again. Must be some sorta faze he was going through. All part of growing up.

‘Naci moved quietly, weaving back and forth around.. Nothing at all. Her mind was off in space and as she moved back and forth through the dried out grass, her flames licked and threatened. Not that they’d do anything, just let themselves be known. Or so she figured. Her mind wasn’t really on things such as hair today, hadn’t been for awhile.
If only she knew that; one, she was headed right towards the stallion her mind was on; and two, he was thinking of her. She’d probably have picked up speed just to be able to run and charge at him. ‘Naci really didn’t make many friends, her home life kept her busy and she occasionally made the long trip to see her father, Horne, Nono, and Moppet. She wasn’t unhappy in the traveling, it just meant a lot less time for what others dealt with daily. Lifting her amber eyes lazily, only half-focusing on the black, blue, and gold form up again the word slipped out without really any intention.. “Atum..”

Atum thought about what had happened as of late. The brawl with his siblings...Isis smelt of skinwalker when ever he saw her and he hated. Sekhmet, his mother, had become so quite lately. He couldn't remeber the last time he saw his father or his brothers. He hadn't seen any other of his friends either...Out of all of them though, he missed her the most...
Atum had bent down to drink from the lake when the wind seemed to carry his name to him in a voice he could never forget. "Ignacia..." He whispered her name with a smile, turning to spot the silver pelt mare with the blue flame. The stallion flapped his great wings before speeding of to the mare.

‘Naci’s family life as of late had been a bit on the rocks as well. Her mother was a bit depressed, and her sister Flossy, had just had babies. That should have been a joyous time except she lost one of the babes in birth. Hopefully her vivacious sister would manage to get herself together soon. Prayers were constantly with her baby sister. But for now something else was drawing her mind from family..
Two great black wings had flapped up ahead, making her eyes focus. My god.. It was as if her mind had brought what she was wanting to her. Atum was heading her way with more than a little bit of speed and without realizing it ‘Naci was heading towards him. A touching moment of two lovers reuniting.. Oh boy, where had -that- come from? They were so not lovers.. Although she really wouldn’t mind.. Nonono, keep it clean lass.

" 'Naci!" The stallion called out to her as he drew near to her, slowing his pase down. He wanted to just...Go up and nuzzle her like his parents did when they hadn't seen eachother in a long time...But he couldn't. He and her...Weren't a couple...Couldn't be...Or could they? "It's been too long! How are you?"

"Atum!" Her own paced slow down at about the same rate and she was feeling the same pang to get closer. Lovey Dovey had never taught her how to act around stallions that she felt more than friendship for.. because.. well, because her mother had been single for all of 'Naci's life. Even when the girls had been growing up..
"Oh Atum! It has been so verreh long.. I've been well... an' ye?"

"I can't complain." He was sorta leing. Though he himself had been good, his family life sure hadn't been. His older brother never came around anymore, rumous were his sister was seeing a skinwalker, his mother was terribly lonely since she hadn't seen Erik in a long time....Heck, he had been lonely since they parted that night. He wanted to tell her he had been thinking about her since they last saw eachother but that would just be creepy. There were friends, right? Maybe he could bend the truth a little...
"Here I was just wondering how you've been and you appear..Guess I should start thinking about you a lot more." Smmmmoooooooooothhhhhhh.

Neither could 'Naci when she thought of what she had done lately. Visiting with her mother had been fun, but the girls seemed to be getting lonely not seeing their dad which dampened things a bit. And, in turn made 'Naci wish to go see Azu again... Shaking her head out trying to get rid of the thoughts that didn't have anything to do with this happy time. Atum was here! That made the day more pleasant as she wouldn't have to wonder about what he was doing anymore, thank god. ... right?
A blush twisted up her neck and the flames of her mane licked at it as if trying to highlight what was obvious. "Oh.. Well.. I'm supposin' that's true... but why would ye be wantin' ter do that?"

Atum smiled as the mare spoke to him. She was so beautiful...What? He shook his head a little, hopefully she didn't notice. "Well...I do have my reasons...I must say, I have...Missed you since we last spoke." He couldn't help but blush, though it was hard to see through his black pelt...Why was he telling her this?

The blue-flame mare couldn’t help but notice the head-shaking, but she kept herself quiet about the rest. If he was thinking something that she should know, he’d say it. Right? Why did he make her question herself the way no other stallion had ever. Then too, ‘Naci did admit that she never spent much of any time around stallions. “Ye a blunt one, eh Atum?” She meant to tease just a bit but the admission set her to thinking again.
“I.. I’ve missed ye too. Strange affliction, ye ken? Yer.. Jest a friend.. Right?”

He was running out of small talk...And he's feeling were driving him nuts! Should he? Should he not? Screw it. He would. His dad was a romatic french man after all.
The stallion took a tentive step forward after an moment of silence and nuzzles her cheek with his nose. He had wanted to do this since he saw her again...He was so fluttered he let something slip out that maybe shouldn't have. "I wish I could be more that just a friend for you.." He whispered.

'Naci was the sort of mare to just speak her mind and if someone didn't like what she said... Well they could figure out hown to get out of her presence now couldn't they? Why was this so different...
Amber eyes widened with shock, and a little bit of a tremor split down her body before holding still to see what he had to say. She definately didn't reject the advances of the others, but well... it was a surprise for her to be touched even just a little bit. "Ye.. ye do?" For the first time in a very long time the flame mare was out of words to use. Sure, there were so many that came into her head much like a flood, but none really worked for her.

Crap! Atum stammered backwards, blushing so hard that it was visible through his black plet. He couldn't beleive he had just said that! 'Err..Well..I mean..That is...Ummm...Only if you'd have me by your side?" The stallion was confused and embarred but he still manged to speak what his heart wanted to say...It was in control right now, after all.

The silver-blue mare really couldn’t believe what she had just heard the stallion say. They’d only met one other time, and given it had been the most romantic thing of her young life, was she really ready for what this meant? Amber eyes lifted heavenwards, and right now she’d have given anything to have the tutelage of her parents.
Azumoth was hidden away.
Lovey was at home playing grandmother happily.
It was truly her decision.
Breathing deeply, thinking of the way others acted. Her mother hadn’t seized love and now she seemed to be shrinking daily into a wallflower. Hell, ‘Naci would rather take a chance and be hurt than let a slow hurt take over her life from not even trying to be with another. “A-Atum… Ye ken… I.. I’d like that.”
