As a fan of animal crossing I have come across this topic many times and it has broken many a friendship.
"Is Time Skipping good or bad?"
my view on it is that it is not really good or bad, I used to time skip but then I realized that there wasn't a point in it and that patience makes the game that much better.
Now, this is the debate.
Is time skipping good or bad and state your reasons.
p.s. I did not realize that this topic was already present when I posted but there is no way for me to erase it, I'm sorry

Time Traveling, I think, ruins the gaming experience. You don't have to aim for the Golden Tools 'cause all you have to do it time travel for them. Plus, if you don't change the DS's time, it'll screw up your Turnip Prices and flowers and such and such. ^^ Check out my guide in the Guide and Walkthrough section!

To be honest I find time skipping to be as useful as cars and the mouse to your computer. Consider this, why would the developers put this handy feature in the game if they didn't want you to use it?

Consider this, why would the developers put this handy feature in the game if they didn't want you to use it? Well, seeing how I don't have a car... and I don't use a mouse (I have the touch laptop pad)... I would assume they put it in there so you could back up for Daylight's Saving Time and stuff. Plus, if you use the telephone, your flowers, turnips and turnip prices will screw up. You have to have it synchronized with the DS.

I think that's the only way to "cheat" on a game like animal crossing.

I personally think that it's bad, because it just ruins the whole point of the game.
D:
I know this one guy who would keep on fast forwarding until new years on the GameCube version, so he could keep on getting 10k bells, then he kept on complaining he was bored of the game, so I'm like, "NO DUHH. THE POINT OF THE GAME IS TO SLOWLY ENJOY PLAYING IT."
Also, with my friend, who kept on time traveling on the ds version, so her money in the bank would increase. She kept on complaining about all the weeds that grew.
So anyway, if you time travel, there's always going to be something bad happening, so you might as well not do it.
