"Hania, hurry up. I'm starving and with how slow you're moving I'll miss out on some nice juicy rabbit!" came the complain of one Iieanu. Although he was Hania's familiar, the smaller wolf was, as you could say, Hania's more serious side, a potential showing of how Hania could lead and direct, lend a listening ear, etc. However, as the stallion was always laid-back and playful, it was up to Iieanu to make sure Hania knew what he was doing.

He sighed as he trailed after Iieanu, feeling somewhat bored and at the same time serene. After seeing Celendria, he was glad his old friend was doing well. At the moment, he was counting on Iieanu to lead him back to his home and back to Mahiri; he was weary of traveling now. Perhaps he ought to start a herd, he was still young and strong enough to do so. As he played around with the idea in his mind, he nearly tripped over his wolf familiar, who had stopped suddenly. "Iieanu, whatever is the matter?" he asked, wondering why his friend had stopped.

The wolf had paused and was sniffing at the ground, when Hania had nearly run over him. "Ack! Oops, sorry." He spoke solemnly and almost thew the comment as something idly, for he had scented something. It was the scent of Hania, but mingled with many other scents. Wondering why he smelled Hania's scent all over this place, he finally ignored it and walked on, leading Hania back home as the stallion seemed rather down lately.

Ack! Why is it that as the seasons changed, so do the days? It was nearing winter, and it was getting colder but the days were much more boring than ever. It wasn't as if the mare in question had a ton of friends that she could hang out with. Heck, one could even say that she barely had any. And it wasn't as if her family was always together. Sure she could easily go back to her parents, but her siblings and her had other plans. She adored them, but wanted to live by herself.

Family was once important, but now, what's the point?

Her Papa would have given her a good talking for that kind of comment, but she didn't care. That was, afterall, what he thought before his life turned for the good. And her Mama probably would be terribly disappointed, and that's not what she wanted to happen. She didn't want to go back to her parents and ruin their happiness because she was so damn screwed up.

So, she spent most of her time alone. Still seeking out stallions to talk to, but none seemed to be interested in a ratty mare like herself. They wanted young and hip ones, and she was neither.

Voices of some others could be heard not to far off from where Abattie was standing, and she quickly wipped around in that direction. There seemed to be two, obviously....both...male! Excellent! Maybe this time she'd get even the slightest bit more lucky then usual. So the yellow mare trotted over to where she thought the voices were coming from and blinked.

"...Papa?" She questioned, not bothering to pay attention to obvious differences between Bairn and his own father. They had similiar coat colors, for all she knew...this could be him. "Papa?"

Hania blinked as a pretty young mare trotted towards him, but the only reason he seemed confused was because the mare called him "Papa". Smiling indulgently, he answered, "Not exactly your Papa, little one, but I might know him if you give me his name." He glanced down to Iieanu who had been about to make a nasty remark and kicked his friend lightly to tell the wolf to keep his mouth shut.

"Ah, a stranger shouldn't just offer up something like that," he amended, hoping the mare didn't get offended or was scared. "My name is Hania. This little guy here is Iieanu. Greetings," he continued kindly. Hania was weary for once and his usual antics were reserved, lately, for his playful, dear mate Mahiri. He waited politely for the mare to answer him, seeing as he had spoken quite quickly. Iieanu growled at him but otherwise he knew this friend understood and would stay quiet. Iieanu wasn't stupid, and besides, the wolf was more or less his companion and they protected each other.

Iieanu actually had been about to comment that the mare smelled like Bairn and Hania and a mixture of another mare, although Hania's scent on the mare was faint. Bairn's scent however, was strong, if mixed slightly with a different mare. He growled softly at his companion when he was kicked, but otherwise remained silent, albeit alert.

Oh, well darnit. He looked so much like Bairn did. Except for a few obvious differences that, if she looked hard enough, could have noticed before making herself sound stupid.

But the mare grinned at the old stallion, he seemed friendly enough, and not bothered by her stupidity. Which was a refreshing change, instead of others always mocking her and making fun of her, or not even wanting to talk to her! "Oh, sorry. My Papa's name is uh..." Abattie paused for a moment, she knew his name of course, but had never really said it outloud. It was improper to call your elder by their name, but maybe this stallion knew Bairn. "It's Bairn, my Papa's name is Bairn." The mare found herself almost instantly turning her head to look at the wolf, who looked oldly close to the stallion he was hanging with. It made her chuckle, what a strange happening indeed.

"Hania? Iieanu? It's a pleasure to meet you both, I suppose. My name is Abattie." The mare nodded, the name of the stallion seemed very familiar, but she didn't want to jump to anymore conclusions, especially after the stupid stunt she pulled with thinking he was her Papa. Her eyes had caught the kick, and the reaction that the wolf had given his friend and she stared at him.

"Wouldn't that hurt? Oh, geez...don't kick him! My Papa's friend, Bae doesn't like it when he kicks him and he's a lion!" Abattie giggled, it had been far too long since she'd seen that annoying creature and yet, she rememebered him so well.
