This thread is for the rehoming of taur who have been bought back by the shop. It's been difficult trying to decide on a method to find homes for said taur, but this is what we've decided on in the end. It's not perfect and we hope that we should have to use it in the future rarely.
The posts below are reserved for instructions on how to become the new guardian for a rehomed taur and information on shop buy backs, rules and FAQ.

For the Buyer
There are two basic setups for rehoming taur. The method will be chosen at the digression of the staff. This is basic information only, the specifics may change on a case to case basis.
Method One - Mini auction
This will likely be the most common setup. Depending on what the taur is will determine its autobuy price.
Bidding Information
Starting Bid: 5k
Minimum Increase: 500g
Auto Buy Price(s):
Common-Uncommon (200k unedited, 300k edited)
Rare (300k unedited, 450k edited)
Rarer (400k unedited, 550k edited)
Rarest (700k unedited, 1mil edited)
Method Two - Mini RP Event
This setup will be preferred for taur who had been RPed a fair bit before they where rehomed. These taur will have basic profiles listed with them and will be sold with the expectation that if they are RPed, they will be RPed with their original personality and background intact.
In this style, any entrants will be given two weeks to post an entry written as the character. The winner will be chosen by Syrcaid and will be asked to pay a 5k fee for the taur. Pure only please.

For the Person Giving Up Their Taur
General Information:
You don't have to give up all the other taurs you own if you're abandoning a taur. Non-RP required taurs may stay with you.
These rules also apply for owners who have been banned.
You may choose to simply give your taur to someone else. Please PM the "-Cein-Isles-" mule with your taur's information and who you'd like to give it to. The new owner must meet all (if any) RP requirements for that taur. The new owner must also abide by the CI rules of ownership.
Even if the new owner wants to give it back, it won't be allowed. It's a hassle swapping taur information on certificates over and over again, particularly when the original artist/staff may not even have the original taur art anymore.
If no new owner is found after one month, that taur will be retired permanently.
Release of Ownership:
When you officially give up your taur you may NOT reclaim your taur ever again! Be SURE that you really want to give your taur away!
Sorry, there can be no in-betweens! When you want to rehome your taur, you must either you give up your taur completely or not at all! We don't want any messy red tape!
When CI buys back your taur, CI officially has the right do with it as they see fit. Any and all owning/breeding rights are then solely that of the CI staff.
Previous owners have NO SAY on how CI decides to rehome taurs bought back.
Refund Policy:
We are required to refund you in some way if you paid for your taur.
If you won it via raffle, you will be reimbursed for the amount you paid for tickets.
If you won it at auction, you will be refunded in gold.
The only exception is if we lack the funds to refund you with, in which case the taur is retired unless you send us typed permission to own the taur once more.
Free Raffle Taurs:
If you won your taur at a free raffle, then you will NOT be given anything back. Your free rafflle taur will most likely be retired if you can't find a new owner on your own within one month.
If no new owner is found after one month, that taur will be retired permanently.
Sosiqui The Rules of Pet Removal and Refunds When someone purchases a pet from you, you have an obligation to finish the pet they paid for, regardless of their status with you or your shop. Even if you blacklist or ban a user from your shop, you are not permitted to take away or resell their pets without complete refunds of their payment for those pets. Doing otherwise is considered scamming and will be dealt with severely. If you do not wish to refund someone you have blacklisted, you must finish their pet - making sure the pet is of the same quality as your other work, and done with the same speed. This does not mean you have to let the person still post in your thread if you don't want to, or permit them to purchase future pets or services (including breeding of their pets) from you, but the art that was paid for must be completed in due time. This also includes the removal of pets that were obtained without the exchange of gold, such as through contests or other means. A refund of gold equivalent to the pet's value, had it been purchased with gold, must still be issued. The only exception to the refund rule is for pets with an activity or roleplay requirement, stated clearly at the time of the pet's purchase. Activity requirements are considered part of the contract made when purchasing a pet, and it must be held up on the buyer's end as well. If the buyer does not fulfill that requirement, the pet may be removed with the mediation of a Breedables moderator. So if you are a shop owner and wish to remove a pet using this rule, you must contact a Breedables mod to assist you and make sure the rules are being properly followed. We understand that there may be some bitterness between those who are blacklisted and shop owners, so please use the mods to help mediate the resolution. If there are any issues on either side, please contact a Breedables mod.

Failing to Meet Requirements
The situation also arises when the owner of an RP mandatory taur fails to meet their end of the ownership agreement. Buy backs of this sort have nothing to do with a ban and these taur are often rare enough that this thread will not be used in their rehoming.
Banned Owners
The owner being banned is straight forward. After having been banned, we send the owner a trade for the amount their taur are valued at and upon completion of the trade those taur come here to look for new homes.
There may be instances where those banned either refuse to cooperate or are no longer on Gaia and we can't provide them reimbursement. Taurs from those situations are retired/removed.
