Behold the end of worlds. The Four Horsemen ride on the horizon and the end of days is in sight. I am getting a Playstation 3.
Now, let me explain this bizarre turn of events. Despite my dislike for Sony's market approach, despite my dislike for most of Sony's exclusive games, and despite my admant love for Nintendo and the Xbox franchise, the Playstation 3 is tied for the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market. By the end of January 2008, my family and I will be the proud owners of a 46" 1080p HD television of either a Sony or Samsung brand. And one of the things my mother has been unyielding about since she first saw a comparison shot of Blu-Ray Kingdom of Heaven to upscaled DVD Kingdom of Heaven is the necessity of some Blu-Ray player to compliment our HD set. And she figures, since the cheapest stand-alone Blu-Ray Player and the Playstation 3 are the same price, she might as well get more for her money.
Now, here are the five few PS3 games I plan on attaining before the end of March 2008:
1. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
2. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
3. LittleBigPlanet
4. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
5.fl0w
And that's pretty much all I see for now on the PS3 that I wouldn't rather get on a 360 when I obtain one...

I can safely say, if the stand-alone unit that costs $400 goes on sale or something when we purchase our HDTV, we'll probably be getting that, it's all about price, not preference. My mom has been busting my balls since I put the suggestion forward, because of all the negative things I've had to say about Sony and the Playstation 3 and the unyielding praise I've had for Nintendo, the Wii, and the 360. However, in the end, she saw my point of equal pricing for different values and eventually she agreed. She also wants to play LittleBigPlanet so...

You're becoming the new Viking. *shudders* You know you love me. It seems like the only time we can agree on subjects is whenever we have tainted a topic. Whenever we stray on topic and talk about games, we end up wasting valuable time arguing over something. I don't want to argue, and most people in this guild would prefer us to not taint threads.
