Pacing paws, passing scoffs, his glances falling all around him. Noyana was safe inside their temporary den, the bones that littered the outside should dissuade any who wish to get close to it. She may be pregnant but the female was capable of defending himself. However, it was not entirely her that the male was concerned for. It was more of the fact that he was the father and what the family will see him-no, the family that he will be bringing back with him. Was Tiah still mad? Was Tahka still a jerk? Green eyes peered at the horizon where the only symbol of his home remained, the shadowy figure of Pride Rock. His family was in the Pride Lands and yet here he was out here. All because he could not behave like he should have, he was sent out here and now this.
His body was riddled with scars, a prominent cross shaped one over the right side of his lock. His eye still hurt at times but his limp was fading and the scars were healing back up again after his nights with Noy. He was bigger now and his body was filling out like it should. If only his mother could see him now...
Mat's ears remained alert in case his mate wanted him.

Adonai never joined the pride lands like Tiah wanted him to and he never would. He was never going to conform to such acts, or so he told her before leaving. He was a loner and spent his days without the company of anyone, for a while he had Tiah… but then… then another male had taken her… and even though Tiah wasn’t willing he still felt betrayed and hurt. The cubs… they should have been his, that litter should have been his.
His cold eyes narrowed as he stopped and gazed around. He always looked rather grumpy. Tilting his head son the male frowned and eyed a shadowy figure that was in his way. For a moment all he did was gaze but then a scent passed his nose that he couldn’t ignore.
It smelt like Tiah… kind of. Maybe he was dreaming… he did miss her after all.
Moving a bit closer he spoke out.
“Tiah…?” whee

Mat's head rose as he looked about. Who's voice was that? Though he had no idea how many others his mother knew but this voice was definitely male. Was it Tahka? Was it Haiba? Was it Ru Shou? His ears perked as they first turned toward the den hoping that Noyana was still resting. It was with a passing gaze that he met a very familiar dark pelt. Adjusting his gaze, he noticed that it was a male and a similar to dark to Shou.
"Speak, stranger, how do you know my mother's name," he snarled as he instantly, instinctively, took an offensive pose. His hackles raised as his eyes narrowed on him. Fangs bared, he showed no signs of letting this male go unharmed. "Answer correct or die where you stand."
Mat was a fighter, he never settled for losing and tried his best to win. Where he is not very bright outside fighting, this was where he shined. No thoughts were spared and actions were implemented immediately. Thoughts were already starting through his head, keeping him ready if this male spoke wrong.

He smirked for a moment and let a sick chuckle pass his chest as he stood still and gazed at the Tiah spawn before him. It was one of her sons… well, it was strange, and shouldn’t he have been with the rest of them in the pride lands? A confused look passed his face before he spoke out deeply, his voice was rusty and a bit on the dishonest side.
“Boy, you better hold that tongue of yours; I could have been your father.” He laughed bitterly. Really… he could have.
“Your mother, why aren’t you with her?

"You best no joke about that, b*****d," he snarled. One should not joke about such a subject. Paranoia was what took him until the daunting thought of being a father overwhelmed it. But the mention of his father still riled him roughly. His fur fluffed before he took a few steps toward this male. "Never speak of that b*****d around me or you will surely regret it."
Mat scoffed and spat. "You worry naught about her, stranger, my mother is none of your worry. She is safe with the rest of the family," he started to move slowly, circling the male. "I am only out here to reflect and prepare myself for my own troubles and future. Perhaps you should do the same."
Who was he? What did he want? How did he know Tiah? What was he doing here?

“Boy, I told you to hold your tongue, now settle yourself before you frustrate me.”
His fangs flashed some as he stood tall and flexed his shoulders.
“Tiah is MY mate, so that makes us somewhat related now doesn’t it? Cool it kid, I’m not here to ******** with you.”
His icy blue eyes narrowed as he sat down and eyes the young boy. It was Tiah’s some Mat after all… so strange to see him out here.
“So, why are you here? I thought Tiah and her cubs were all in the pride lands, together.”
…He wasn’t her mate right now, but he sure did miss her and he wanted her back… maybe this could be his way back in. Maybe he could get Mat to come back with him, it would please Tiah… she seemed so sad last time they spoke.

"Hah! You know, I'll tell you something about myself, I have had the tendency to block out sounds I do not want to hear. Say your voice as an example. Besides, I hardly listen to anyone anyways,"
Mat challenged him by rolling his own shoulders, flashing his fangs again.
"Then where the hell were you when she was giving birth to the five of us? Why aren't you my father than that b*****d Kinari?" he spat at the name. "And ******** with me is perhaps the worse thing you could do. In fact, to any of the siblings of mine."
Matishou continued to circle the male, keeping his back away from this male. His eyes remaining on his face.
"They are. As for myself, you need not worry about me. I got other things to worry about right now than having some a** hole speaking lies about my mother," he snarled as he moved from him. "You are too close to my den. I suggest you leave before something happens."

Maybe that’s why he was living all alone. He was a class a smartass and no one liked those. He laughed some at the young male’s display and moved back.
“Whatever you say kid. Your mother isn’t doing to well though, so if you gave a damn about her you’d go see her.”
He didn’t bother asking about the den or why he even had one, right now he didn’t care.
"She isn't well..."
"Now there is a slight problem with that. As much as I would like to go back home, I have my own issues out here," he scoffed off and glanced over his shoulder. "I have a pregnant female out here who needs me. Now if you do not mind, I don't find your presence here safe for my cubs, my mate, and myself."
Perhaps telling him the truth would make him rethink and hopefully leave him and his family alone.

“Hah, you cubs get busy...”
He said with a soft laugh.
“Your brother also knocked someone up and has two little eye sores running around.”
It was true, last time he saw Tiah he also saw Tahka’s little mistakes.
“Look, I’m not going to stand here and fight with you, that would be pointless, but whenever you feel like you can… you should go back to your mother, with her condition I think she would like to see a familiar face.”
He sighed, he too was worried about her, but… he didn’t like telling her that.
He had an image to keep.

He growled lightly that his brother also had cubs. For what reason was more of the question he wanted to know. Did he rape this female? Did he use her? ... Use the female... was it... Mjrn? Mat jerked his head around toward the male.
"Was the mother a dark female named Mjrn?"
Mat growled. The female that earned him a strike aside from his fight with Tahka that got him placed out here. If it was indeed Mjrn, how long has it been? She was related to Noyana and how she took that... would be interesting to say the least. Mat turned his head back and scoffed.
"She wanted them so I gave them to her, but the thought of being a father is strange."
Mother was ill... This male has seen the family and yet he was out here. Something was strange...
"If you are my mother's mate, then why are you out here? Why are you not with your 'mate'? She has Shou, Haiba, Sara, Tufah, and Tahka there. Plus the two mistakes Tahka made, she does not need me..." he calmed. "... at least not yet."

“Even if you think she doesn’t, it doesn’t make it true. If she didn’t miss you then she wouldn’t feel regret every time she spoke to me about you.”
He sighed and eyed the young male. It was such a pity seeing such a young boy with a heavy female. Cubs were the devil at such a young age.
“I am here because I am afraid.”
He admitted softly.
“She was raped and kept the cubs, I was not the father, apart of me is hurt by this, by the fact that I couldn’t protect her and I couldn’t be the father.”
He stopped.
“It takes a real man to know when he has done wrong, and I know I have done your mother wrong, but I am going to go back to her.”
His soft eyes narrowed.
“And you should too.”

""Don't lie to me, b*****d, my mother was the one who put me out here, why would she ever regret doing that? She put me out here to teach me to respect females, family, and our pride. Noyana has taught me that and more, I will go back when she has her cubs and they are old enough to come with us. If she really cared about me, then she would high tail her ******** a** out here and get me herself!"
He snarled as he shook lightly. Somewhere, deep down inside, he hated his mother for taking Tahka's side. Mat, for once, told him the truth to her about Tahka and his lies. Now look where it got them. She was regretting herself. Mat has a mate and out here away from the family. Tahka was a father from the female he kept around to... well, who knows what. If Tiah took his side, perhaps she could have prevented two litters.
"I do not care about what you have to say. I got more important things to do than listen to a whinning male who could not protect my mother. From what I can tell, you would have made a better father than mine."
He sighed.
"I will go back... just not yet, I have Noyana to look after."

“Your stubbornness will be the death of you.”
He was so done with this kid; he wasn’t ever going to grow if he couldn’t see past his own two paws. Turning himself he sighed and looked away.
“Up to you, your words don’t bother me any, so call names all you wish, I owe you nothing and feel nothing for you, but- unlike you, even though I have hard feelings for her, I will go be by her side in this time of need. So, I bid you goodbye and good luck, being a father isn’t easy, so I’ve heard.”
With that the red coated male trotted off as if he has never even came. He wasn’t going to stick around to listen to anymore depressing rants.
