Shwari absently dragged his claws through the dirt, blue eyes watching the little rivets he made as he did so. It was time for his well-deserved nap, but for some reason he couldn't fall asleep. He knew he didn't have too much on his mind. There wasn't anything going on in there that was even mildly unusual, so there really wasn't any reason why he shouldn't be able to go to sleep. But there he was, lying on his side in the shade of a tree, staring out into space.
Sigh. Where was entertainment when you needed it? Or someone to tell him a boring story. That would put him to sleep.

Entertainment? Well no, but while his family dozed in the mid morning sun, escaping it's blazing rays by sleeping beneath the boughs of the shadowy trees, Abiona made his way off towards some unknown destination.
As usual the dreams had come suring the night while he slept, these dreams always pointed him in some direction or other he simply had to find the destination to which his paws were supposed to take him.
He didn't of course realise that one of the twins was awake and his small khaki body could easily be seen slipping away from the rest of the brood.

Shwari's ears flicked, suddenly aware of the sound of paws leaving the den. Blue eyes blinked twice as he slowly raised his head to look around. Who was moving? It didn't take much to spot his brother moving away from the sleeping group. The cub tilted his head, momentarily confused. Where was Abiona going? Did he know something that Shwari didn't, and was off to find an adventure? Pssh. If that was the case, then Shwari was going to go with him. Adventures were never any good to tell about if you didn't have a second witness.
Carefully, he moved away from his siblings, trotting after his brother. "Abiona!" He hissed, deciding that today he felt like being Shwari, and would not go to any lengths to fool his brother. Besides, there was something about Abiona that made it not worth fooling him. "Where you goin?"

The green eyed male turned his head swiftly to meet the blue eyes of one of his twin brothers. For a silent moment he contemplated which twin it was before he greeted his brother in a whispery voice "Shwari." A sklight smile plays on his youthful lips his gaze turning to the direction in which his dream would lead him today. "I'm not sure, you can come if you like though."
He knew he had to say this, in his dream he could hear his own footsteps and that of anothers, if his brother must accompany him so be it, it was what his dream wished him to do. If his brother did not come though, well someone would walk beside him today. The otehrs in his dreams were always shadows though occasionally a flash of colour or the twinkle of an eye would give him some sort of way to recognise his companions for the day.
"Come." He puurrs padding off upon velveteen paws through the brittle grasses.

The cub let his brother stare, knowing that even while Shwari's speech patterns were his own now, that wasn't always enough. Often times Haki would change his speech to patch Shwari's, making it one confusing mess to decide which twin you were really dealing with. It was such a tangled web that sometimes even Shwari forgot which name and personality was his own. But today, he was centered, and he knew that he was strong enough in his own self to be recognizable as Shwari. When the smile and the answer came, the corners of Shwari's mouth curled upwards in an answering smile.
"Congratulations," he murmured, sounding mildly amused as he moved to stand next to his brother. Abiona was a bit... strange sometimes, and perhaps he was just having one of his moments. Nonetheless, Shwari would accompany him wherever his brother's paws would take him. "Sure, I'll come. Not taking us to into anything too dangerous, I hope?" The cub walked casually alongside his brother, pausing only to scratch an itch on his nose.

Abiona smiled lightly his watery green eyes looking his brother over as he padded along. the twins were both bigger than him, he never really asked why, he simpyk assumed it was because they were born before him. "I really don't know why you and Haki like to fool everyone Shwari." he whispers his head low as he made a slow winding path through the long grass. "I think I can tell which one of you is which though, it drives mother spare though you know?" He looks to his brother licking his lips before silence reined for a long time.
"No, i don't think theres any danger today, who knows though, stranger things have happened." He knew it was strange the way he spoke, he always sounded years ahead of his acctual age pulling out phrases noone had ever told him. They all came from his enligtening dreams.
he wasn't a hundred percent sure where exactly he was going today, though he knew he was heading in the right direction where he was supposed to end up was only a flash in his vision.

Shwari's ear turned to better listen to what his brother had to say. A slight frown appeared on his face, at Abiona's comments. The cub, however, returned his expression to neutral and shrugged. Why did he and Haki swap places constantly? Heck if he knew. He couldn't even remember whose idea it had been in the first. The fact remained that it was amusing for the both of them, and that was all that mattered. "It's not our intention to drive anybody 'spare', but it's still funny. Maybe one day it'll get old, but it's still good now." He shrugged again. What was there to say? He didn't feel the need to justify himself, even if it was to his brother.
"Stranger things huh...." Abiona was being all mysterious again. Shwari didn't really like being led around in the dark, but he had already agreed to come along. He would just have to do his best to keep alert. That, and hope nothing too bad befell them. "You do this kind of thing a lot then?"

He let the answer to his question roll off of his back, there was little point in questioning his brother about his actions, he wasn't really sure why he bothered really, it was better just to avoid such things. His family could deal with it after all.
he gave a short nod "Yes, I beleive so." His brow furrowed a little, the phrase had simply come out, truthfully he didn't know if stranger things happened or not.
He wasn't really sure if he should answer the final question though, what if Shwari decided to blab to their parents? Rolling his shoulders in a fidgeting sort of manner he gave a nod "Yes, it's boreing, just sleeping all the time." An excuse, it was better than saying, 'well my dreams tell me to go places so I do.' He sighed softly and fixed his green eyed gaze on his older brother "You won't tell anyone will you?" His voice though still whispery sounded a little frightened, almost frustrated.
"I just, like to see this place..." He trailed off turning his attention back to the path his dreams had chosen for him. He still wasn't sure where he was going, but he would know it when he saw it.

Shwari made a soft noise of affirmation when Abiona said that he believed stranger things had happened. There was nothing strange about what was going on right now, so he would take his brother's word for it. He always seemed to know about things, in that weird way of his. The cub's head tilted when Abiona began fidgeting, unsure if his question had caused it. Apparently it had, because his brother didn't want him to tell anybody. Huh.
"Not if you don't want me to," Shwari murmured back, blue eyes watching his brother carefully. "But you gotta promise to be careful and all that stuff. Don't go walking into dangerous places, you know?" The cub wasn't the type to tattle, though he was slightly against keeping secrets from his twin. Haki would find out one day, he mused, so it wasn't like he was keeping a big secret from his twin.
He frowned a little when Abiona said he liked to visit "this place", unsure about what he meant by that. "You've been there before then?"

If he had thought he would have said in a moment that sweet word, the simple word which cubs learnedf from a very young age, if only he could say yes. "No I'v never been there before." For a long moment he was quiet a slight cringe flattening his ears, "I mean, uhm, yeah I'v been there before." He swallowed audably, he knew full well even a twin alone was still one of the twins, they were canny and clever and always one step ahead of everybody. Such a stuttered cover up wouldn't fool him, still, perhaps his brotehr would let it slide.
Picking up speed slightly they broke in to a clearing in the grass, a circle of flattened stems spread accross the ground, he tilted his head curiously. "What do you think did this?" He whispers his nose twitching a heavy scent thick in the air. This was certainly where he was supposed to go, but why? This strange circle, perhaps this was the task today, the task his dreams set him.

Shwari raised his eyebrows, but said nothing to his brother's first answer. There was no way that he could know where he was going without having been there before. Even if he was told where to go, he seemed much too sure. But whatever. The cub wasn't going to comment on it. If Abiona didn't want to say anything, then that was fine by him. He'd slip up somewhere and give away something. Apparently, however, Abiona decided to tell him the truth, and let it be known that he'd been there before. Aaah, that was much better.
The twin's only response was a small smile, picking up speed when his brother did. When they got to the circle, Shwari paused. That was a weird looking grass pattern. He'd definitely never seen that before. "Dunno... something big I'd guess." The cub moved to place his paw in the centre of the circle. "Weird... you've never seen it before?"

Abiona looked at his brother quietly for a few moments, perhaps shwari's state the obvious attitude was the way to go in this situation, clearly soemthing alot larger than them had created this circle, something with a heavy scent. He lifted his nose high in to the air and shuffled tot he scenter of the strange parting of grass only to notice it had been trampled.
"Shwari, what was it that mother said those, big things are called, the really big things with long noses?" His green eyes fixed upon his brother then, his teeth nipping a little nervously at his bottom lip.
His mind screamed 'Elephant' and 'Move' but his paws didn't take him anyplace as the ground shook beneath his small paws, a strange trumpeting sound echoeing behind them.

"Big things with large noses...." Shwari repeated, frowning. Had he really been there when their mother was talking about that? Or had it been Haki that was standing in for him? No, he did vaguely remember that conversation, but he didn't remember what they were called. There had been other things on his mind at the time, plus the fact that he'd been rather skeptical of the whole idea. Big things with long noses? Come on.
His thoughts were interrupted rather abruptly when the ground began to shake. Ooooh dear, this did not look good. "Who cares what's it's called, let's just get out of here!" Shwari nudged his brother in the way he thought they should go, hoping Abiona would get the hint and start running. Whatever it was that had made those footprints didn't sound like it was too pleased.

For a long moment Abiona couldn't get his paws to move, it wwas like soemone had come along silently through the grass and superglued him to the spot. His deep green eyes widened, Shwari's voice breaking his trance like state. "Leggit!" he squeeks bounding off back the way they came.
Glancing back the dark khaki male caught a glimpse of the large grey hide, the elephant stood in the very spot they had been merely a moment before it's large foot directly in the center of the circle, and what a huge beast it was, it's tusks, the youngster thought, stretched seemingly for miles.
Abiona slowly crawled to a stop to watch the giant beast quietly. "Where do you think he's going?" he asked his brother calmly, almost too calmly perhaps, they had after all almost been squished by the enormous thing.

Shwari followed close at his brother's heels, making sure he was running away. The last thing either of them needed was to be caught by whatever had made those huge footprints. The cub fancied himself tough, but only because he was used to having a twin around. Two was always better than one, but apparently not in this case. Shwari wasn't stupid enough to take on something that large, even if he did have Abiona as back up.
The cub slowed when his brother slowed, taking a few calming breaths before turning around. Wow. Shwari could only stare at the elephant, trying to take it all in at once. This thing was amazing. He wished he'd woken Haki up so he could see it too. Shwari refused to take his eyes off the elephant, only swiveling an ear towards Abiona when he spoke. "Who knows... maybe to find others. Do they even live in groups?"
