Stormbreaker7 Lance listened intently to the other. "I have never traveled that far from my home... I've never seen a place with dragonfly like that. Are a lot of dragonfly in other places different from ones like me?" He tilted his head to the side, seeming very interested.(Too lazy to go onto tektek so puts Kiyo in red* x.x; ) Kiyoshi stared at her legs some more. "I never seen anything like that.. where do you come from? And why do you eat flies?" He narrowed his eyes. He was frustrated with his confusion with this female. He took a few steps closer and sat down. He didn't feel as threatened, seeing that the other pup was so much closer to her and in one piece.Edit ( Need to flee to bed. Continue later, Ron? So many questions. Weren't they impertinent. Most pups were, though, so she could hardly fault them for that. She had had her fun with them and now it was their turn to have fun with her. She'd make it a little more interesting, though.
She jumped backwards towards the nearest tree and clung onto it with her four spider legs, hanging neatly facing the pups. "There are many dragonfly everywhere of all shapes and sizes. There are many more with more interesting features than the standard than most think. We just tend to keep to our own clans rather than spread out amongst those who might not receive us kindly." She used the answer to the first pup's question to start into the second. "We live far away from this area. I'm not going to specify the location because it isn't my secret to divulge. And I don't eat flies..." Her impish smirk once more took over her face. "But I do enjoy eating small colorful furry creatures."((And g'night! I gotta take a shower soon anyways. ^^))

Kiyoshi gulped and hopped again. "You.. you like the colorful ones? Not ones who are dark like him?" He said in a panick as he looked to Lance who had much darker colors then he did. A little whimper escaped him as he backed up until tripping over a small rock. A surprised yelp escaped him and he decided to stay there for the moment, too scared to move.
Lance knew the spider dragonfly wasn't completely serious about the threat that had scared the other pup. He ran over him and nudged him, trying to get him to stand up. "Are you alright?" He asked quietly. He looked back up to the spider female. The way she could jumped like she did and cling onto trees was amazing. "Really? You must have seen a lot! I want to travel around and see other dragonflies when I get big. You seem kind of nice. I bet they're not scary." After looking down at Kiyoshi for a moment to make sure he was alright he scampered over to the female again. His tail wagged happily behind him. "You know a lot! Who have you met? Anyone really cool like you?"

"Well my entire family is 'cool like me." She skittered her way on top of one of the boughs of the tree, winding a single strand of silk thoughtfully about one long leg. "But they can be scary. You should never ever assume that someone is friendly. Especially those of us with more unusual powers and features." She smirked, eyes glittering from above the pups. "It isn't that we're any meaner... but most dragonflies won't bundle you up in a web if you get on their nerves."

Lance put his front paws on the tree and stared up at her. He wished he was able to climb at the moment. "Oh I see... what is that made of anyway? That string? What's it for?" The questions that poped into his head never seemed to end. His tail wagged eagerly behind him and his golden eyes lite up in fascination. "I can't make anything like that... maybe one day... if..." He paused and and narrowed his eyes. "No.. when I become an elder I'll be able to do things like that."
Kiyoshi groaned and slowly rolled over onto his stomach. A whine escaped him. "Why am I so afraid all the time...?" He mumbled. Slowly, he brought himself to stand on his wobbly feet. "I... I can be brave. She's not scary... she's just mean..."

Latriante was going to give a snappy response to the older pup but couldn't withhold a laugh once the colorful one had spoken. "I'm not scary, just mean? If anything I'm not mean. Just scary. Or are you saying that these aren't scary?" She held onto the branch with her four dragonfly paws and splayed the spider legs out behind her, forming an eerie silhouette in the tree.
"And as for you," she turned back to Lance. "I doubt you'll be able to do what I do even when you're an elder. You'll probably have something a little more dramatic but less interesting. Make the wind blow or something."

Kiyoshi narrowed his eyes and tried to look brave even if he couldn't stop the shaking his body continuedly did. "You are mean because you are t-t-trying to be scary!" He said and looked away. He didn't want to look at her legs. They fightened hm a lot. His tail curled up and he tried to stop making his whole body do the same.
"Wiiiiind?" Lance whined. He pouted in disappointment. "That is boring! What can wind do anything? I want to be more exciting! I want to be a really cool dragonfly when I grow up. Like you!" He smiled up at Latriante. "I'm Lance by the way."

"You can call me Latriante. And with enough wind you could do a lot of things... Pull me from this branch, for instance... not that I would particularly enjoy that happening." She hopped back down from the tree, landing with all eight limbs at once.
"And you..." She gave the second pup a nudge with one single clawed spider leg. "Would your parents be proud of you cowering like this from a spider? We aren't that dangerous. I'm not even that venomous... to adults."

"Nice to meet you," Lance said. His mind rolled over what she said for a while. He shook his head. "But that still couldn't do that much. It couldn't help anybody I bet. Just... blow things down and destroy." His ears folded back. If he really became an elder and ended up with powers like that would if be worth it?
Kiyoshi continued to shiver as he put on the best "brave face" he could manage. He almost fell back as the limb touched him, however. "My parents... left me. So I don't know. They haven't come back for me yet. I've been waiting for so long though..." He whined. "They're not coming... are they?"

Oh dear. Unknowingly, Latriante had stepped into very awkward territory. She could somewhat understand why a parent would abandon its pups but hoped to never be in a situation where she was cornered into making that choice. She looked at the small and colorful dragonfly, pity for his plight making her shake her head. "No, they're probably not. The best you can do is grow up so fast that you forget you were supposed to have them in the first place. Or find another family to latch onto. Lots of them don't really mind." At least he seemed to scared of her to want to ask her for such help. She wasn't ready to settle down and raise pups. Not yet. Not ones that weren't even hers.
"Er... and you..." She couldn't quite remember the current topic of discussion with Lance. "Once you become an elder then you can start worrying about powers. Not much point in thinking about it until then."

Kiyoshi shook his head furiously. "No! I don't want to grow up and I don't want knew parents. I want my parents!" The pup was a stubborn one."Even if they're never going to come back I'm not getting over them." He looked away from the spider with his nose up in the air. "You can't understand."
Lance frowned. "It will matter to me," He muttered before turning his attention to Kiyoshi. Lance always had his family and as far as he knew he always would have them. Hearing things about some pups not having parents made him sad. He didn't really understand it. "Your parent left you somewhere? I'm sorry..." His head tilted to the side as he tried to imagine what it would be like to be left alone. "It must be scary to be alone..."
