I have never seen that before.
I don't know if I should laugh or follow up with, "What is yuri, yaoi, and all that other stuff people come up with?"
You are now the teacher! (I say there should be a subsection for internet macros!)

Yaoi and Yuri both have stories behind their naming.
Yaoi is an acronym for the Japanese "stop, my a** hurts."
Yuri was the title of the first manga ever published that had girls "doing the dirty" in it.
And I heard Futanari meant "shouldn't be there" (most likely refering to the thing you'll find out of place in futa stories... >.> <.< )

Are you joking about the "yaoi" thing? o_o;; Because I don't know if I'm allowed to laugh at that or not right now.

I researched on that, and it's the most veritable story I've heard thus far.
Actually, the most accepted version is that it comes from "No climax, no resolution, no meaning" (yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi)
Seeing how 99% of the Yaoi out there is just "get two guys in bed for no reason" both in anime and fanfiction form, I would quite agree to that.
But the other version's funnier. mrgreen

I like that theory. ^_^
Yes, yaoi seems to be sex and no plot. But if there is some kind of story, no one really cares. x_x It makes it seem like guys who are gay just want sex. Bad reputations. But I never watched yuri - is that the same way?

I haven't bothered with yaoi/yuri manga much, same with anime, but as far as fanfics go, there's a lot less "just do it" in yuri than yaoi.
There are still the n00b, lame writers who don't bother developing the relationship and just jump to the bed scene, but they're relatively less than in yaoi.
And yep, to me PWP is a curse word. If you can't take your time to show me a believable development into the "******** point" of the story, then you're missing a reader or thirty. talk2hand
I see fanfiction as a quite amusing field. Awesome plots often happen to the lamest writers, and sometimes, the lamest plots happen to the best writers.

I don't touch the manga, my friend does. I can't sit there and read something with no meaning - or too many play on words. (Puns kind of make me mad.)
I used to be a fan-fiction reader until the influx of bad typists came about, and the site fanfiction.net does not enforce the rules. I can't read something if every other word is a typo and the person never heard of a paragraph before.

The average teenagers with internet access and MS-Word are, to me, the modern equivalent to monkeys with bazookas.
I still read fanfiction, there's good stuff to be found, and with all my browsing I can determine whether the story may be good or not just from the summary.

Monkeys with bazookas, eh? I think they merely ignore the red squiggly under their words.
Back on topic of "Hen-Tai". Favorite season of Digimon? I like 1, 2, 4 and 5. I do not have a problem with 4 like others, and 5 is good. But 3? I don't like it.

Fairy_Sage Back on topic of "Hen-Tai". Favorite season of Digimon? I like 1, 2, 4 and 5. I do not have a problem with 4 like others, and 5 is good. But 3? I don't like it. I like 1 and 3, and also like 4 and 5 (but not as much as the other two.) As for 2, I don't like it. Zero Two was almost good (despite the new DDs being a bunch of idiots IMO,) until they got to the ending. I still think they intended to pull a Gainax* there, and it quite worked. But I didn't like that whole "let's explain what happened in the next 20 years in 2 minutes so fanbrats will stop nagging us" attitude of the 02 ending. Tamers, I loved it. I like most trading card games, as far as they have a somehow intelligent setup and battling is fun. In Tamers, they use the Digimon Card Battle cards as tools for fighting, and also, they took evolution one step further by fusing Digimon and humans. Though, if you may know, I didn't like the dubbed Tamers. Voices were all over the place, stuff got scissored, and Juri went from adorably psychotic to just plain psychotic. One point that makes this far superior to 02 is Renamon. In 02, Gatomon was watered down and turned into a wuss just so she wouldn't outpower the "awsum" Veemon and Wormmon, thus I like first season's Gatomon better. Renamon came close to the first Gatomon's level of kick-a**, and thus brought back what 02 didn't have: A strong female trainer with a strong Digimon partner. Frontier took things one step further by removing the partner Digimon bit. I didn't like it at first, but the second half of the story was actually interesting. I was miffed that they turned my Faeriemon idea into a cyberfairy for a while, but hey, not the first time it happens (I swear, they're looking at us fans with satellites all the time. That's where they take their ideas from.) Savers, I haven't watched it all, but I gotta say watching a guy fist-fight a Mega Digimon or two is made of win. I've followed the natural line when writing fanfics (digimon->fused digimon->fused human and digimon->human turned digimon->???) and made one Digimon fic where a Gatomon can turn human at will, not only at visual level, like Arukenimon/Arachnemon, but her whole body turns human, as demonstrated later in the story, capable of anything a human body would. * Gainax, the goons behind Evangelion, keep on releasing lame endings to that show, so they can keep on milking money off dumb fanbois who think the next ending movie will make sense unlike all others.

I guess in Savers you can kind of say the human partner helps out a lot because they have to do the "DNA" transfer ordeal.
Yes, many dislike 2. It happens a lot in every season of Digimon, starts out with the main partners/tamers/etc. and then all of a sudden more will pop out of nowhere, from the corners of the earth! Spawning.
I really liked Frontier because of the element factor. Anything that assimilates Aristotle's theory wins for me. (I'm an Avatar fan... ^_^;; )
I wonder what they will come up with next...

exact meaning of hentai biggrin
Hentai is a Japanese word that can be used to mean "metamorphosis" or "abnormality". In Japan "hentai" has a strong negative connotation, and is commonly used to mean "sexually perverted". In the West the term is used as slang for sexually explicit or pornographic comics and animation, particularly Japanese anime, manga and computer games (see Japanese pornography).
Hentai anime and manga allow elements of sexual fantasy to be represented in ways that would be impossible to film. This may include portrayals of sexual acts which are physically impossible, unacceptable in society, or run counter to social norms. Examples include extreme bondage, creatures with tentacles, and other fetishes.
and yaoi
YAOI is a publishing genre which focuses on male/male homosexual relationships and is marketed at females. The genre originated in Japan and encompasses manga, anime, novels and dÅjinshi. In Japan, this genre is called Boy's Love or simply "BL" and it is important to note that yaoi as a genre name is mostly used by western fans. Yaoi has spread beyond Japan; yaoi material is available in the United States, as well as other Western and Eastern nations worldwide.

I would think anyone who's a fan of anime and doesn't know the meaning of hentai...
Well...
Needs to reconsider their "fan" title.
