Few things about DFA 1979. There was only two people in the band, a drummer who also sang, and a bassist. Take that you ******** White Stripes! I caught the end of their set at a NIN show with QOTSA. Josh of Queens worked with them on their remix album I believe. I also think they wanted the bassist to play in QOTSA. I don't know if that ever happened though. The group split, they did what they wanted to accomplish in the group.
The bassist is part of this new project called MSTRKRFT. The drummer also has his own thing, but I haven't heard anything of it yet. MSTRKRFT has done a s**t load of remixes, including ones of DFA.

Oh, I can't post The Smiths without posting some sort of Depeche Mode! Blonde dude in this vid. That's Martin Gore. Still my favorite person/hair from the 80's.
