The library has been decked out from floor to ceiling in decorations of every hue. Admittedly the decorations seem a bit old, and a few are gathering dust, but they serve the purpose of giving the normally dreary looking building a more kid-friendly appearance. Off to one side, a vacant room has been decked out more than the main library. A long table covered with a green tablecloth holds more food than a class of twenty could eat- fruits, cookies, cakes, and a masterpiece of a chocolate cake as the centerpiece. Brightly wrapped presents are stacked near the door, and there are cushions and chairs scattered about for the children to sit on.
The birthday guest(s?) of honor has yet to appear, however any guest may feel free to make themselves at home in the meantime.
((This thread is for a birthday party for Eriol- though if Alexander or Paige show up, he'd be happy to share, as their birthdays have also passed. Scattered Stories and their guests are most welcome- ie, they can bring family if they like.))

"Mmmph...! MMMPH! Huff..."
"Dear, why don't you let me get the door?" sighed a gentle voice.
"I can do it... I know I can!" struggled the other voice, that of a young boy's. With a gentle push on the door by his guardian, Alexander managed to open the heavy door once more.
"So, Eriol's birthday party, hmm? I feel bad that I didn't throw a big party for yours..." Kaze laughed hesitantly as she let herself in.
"I'm fine, mom. Don't worry about a thing, really," the boy gave a sweet smile to his Guardian as his eyes traced from the window to the food.

"Come on, already!" a child's voice cried out from outside the door, sounding a little impatient. "You're so slow!"
"I don't see what the rush is..." the man replied before quietly opening the door, trying to catch his breath. "It's not like we're late."
The little girl quickly stepped inside, her bare feet patting lightly on the ground as her blue eyes peered about, curious as to who was around. She didn't see the big guy she'd played with as a shadow anywhere... Maybe he was late for his own party? However, red clothing caught her eyes, and she grinned mischieviously. Someone new to her, as just about everyone here would be.
"I'mma go say hi!" she said with a better smile to her guardian, brushing a little bit of her purple hair behind her ear. Layla straightened up her circlet before turning to Domonic. "'Kay?"
Domonic blinked a few times, his pale eyes a bit wary of what the girl had said. Saying hello to someone usually meant she was about to find a new target, and the brown haired boy hardly seemed like one who'd be able to handle Layla's pranks. Though, maybe it would be good for her, and there was a slight chance she'd be nice for once.
"Please behave," he sighed lightly, closing the door behind himself and stepping out of the way. "I'd hate to have to leave early due to any trouble you might try to cause..."
Layla pouted, but on the inside she was laughing. He caught on really quick.
"Awww, c'mon! Have more faith in me," she said a bit sadly before smiling sweetly. "I'll be good."
With that, she turned, quietly making her way toward the unknown boy.

Small, sandalled feet tip-tapping on the ground, eager giggle chiming, green sundress fluttering in the breeze created by the girl's half-running pace, Meer made her way towards the building, hand grasping that of her somewhat reluctant guardian.
"C'mon Nai," she called back to the woman, waddling along behind her swollen belly. "I want to explore!"
With this phrase came a tightening of the grip on Naita's hand, as well as an increase in pace.
"Can't I just stay at hooome?" whined the adult.

"Go on, Marie," Green nudged the little girl forwards, towards the door, "What are you waiting for?"
What was she waiting for? Marie could hardly believe her gaurdian was making her do this; forcing her to go to a birthday party that was being held for somebody she didn't even know. The little, blue-eyes girl would much rather have been sitting comfortably, curled up in her favorite chair along with a good book.
Without a word, she walked into the party with her head bowed, and her right arm hidden safely under her cape.
Green sighed and trudged inside behind her daughter. Marie was a puzzle to her... the gaurdian, who was loud and almost always dressed in vibrant, clashing colors just couldn't bring herself to understand Marie's shyness.
It would be good for the girl to meet other children her own age.
