User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It was a normal, boring day. The small white and brown ulaya stretched out her tiny arms and looked around. She was smaller then most female ulaya, but bigger than any kit around. Her brown legs made it look like she had rolled around in some dirt not too long ago. Asami blinked as she looked around the tall grass that reached right below her shoulder blades.

The red jewel remained on her head, but she would one day get rid of it and exchange it for a higher up rank, such of that her sisters and father had. Her black claws were seen as she stretched and a large yawn escaped her as she continued to look around. Nothing much to see except the tall grass and trees. Her smile was seen now as she prepped herself to eat something. Maybe a rabbit, or something bigger? Now that she was bigger, she could hunt something more challenging, of course that meant more blood and gross things to look at.

Time seemed to have stopped for Takumi. His life had began a different road since he had found out he wasn't female. He had no clue who he was anymore. He was big, like his father. Chunkier then a few of the male ulaya, but still in shape. All muscle. His silver coat looked much like his father's. Leopard spots all over, with pink at the top of his ears and tail.

He had no mind to the red gem on his forehead, not anymore. He use to really be into wanting to be the ruler of everything when he was younger, but he also thought he was female too. He snorted at his idiocy. He hadn't paid attention where he was wondering, His eyes to the ground and his mind in thought.

The sound of another ulaya in the grass made Asami's ears twitch a little. Her head raised a bit and she began to look around for who it was and what they wanted. When she saw the beautiful silver coat with spots much like the other ulaya she met not too long ago, her dark green eyes quickly squinted to try to get a better view. Was it the one kit she used to love to play with? Was it her friend? Takumi?

She began to prance forwards towards the silver ulaya with a wide smile spread acrossed her maw. He looked so different, and yet the same. Her heart leaped happily as she got closer and closer. Old memories came back and she was ready to play with her old friend again. Of course, maybe he didn't like playing much? Maybe he had grown up to be a boring, stiff ulaya that liked to impress others the best he could.

Takumi only just now realized he was walking in a thing of tall grass. How'd he get here? He raised his head up and looked about, but saw no one else. Or, at least he wasn't looking to see anyone. He was more scanning the area to see where he was. His muscles ached since he had been walking for too long now. He stopped and sat down. His bobbed tail flicked once or twice before stopping still.

His attention changed as he heard someone come near him. His ears back and a grow escaped his mouth before he realized who it was that was coming towards him. A female... White and brown, someone that looked familiar, but he didn't quite remember yet. Then it hit him.... This wasn't good. A frown came upon his face. He was friends with her when he was a kit and thought he was a female. How embarrassing. He didn't say anything except stare at her.

Asami stopped dead in her track when she heard his growl. Was he mad at her? Did he hate her for not running into him in such a long time? When he only stared at her, she felt her heart crumble to pieces. What happened to her best friend? "Takumi?" She asked, trying to break the awkward silence between the two of them. All the little white ulaya wanted to do was talk to her old friend and catch up with everything that had happened since the last time that they saw each other; which, if she could remember, was when they ate some berries together.

When she was a kit, she didn't ever think of anything of him thinking he was a girl. She didn't even remember him saying he was a girl most of the time. They were both foolish when they were little, but now they had grown... well, Takumi had grown. Asami was still a kit at heart and she didn't really grow, other then her looks. "Are you mad at me?" She ventured, hoping he would say no... or at least anything to her rather than just stare.

He didn't know what to say. He felt really stupid, and didn't want this meeting to happen. He looked away from her to the ground at his feet. Yes, that seemed like a good place to look. She was probably ashamed of him. Ashamed to be his friend from their childhood. He knew he would be. "Hi." He said in a weak voice.

He looked back up at her for a second. "no.. Not mad." He said. Perhaps she forgot about his stupid self? He didn't know, he waited a few more moments to see what she'd do. Though, she did remember his name. Dreading this, he just kind of felt dumb.

Asami began to jump towards her friend again in a childish manner. "Takumi!!!" She loved her childhood friend and could never be ashamed of him. Since he wasn't mad, was he sad? He seemed sad, or something, since he was so quiet something had to be wrong. "Hello Takumi dear friend!" She scooted closer to him and gently pushed him in a playful manner.

"How are you Takumi? It has been forever." She said as she waited for his answer to her energy. What was wrong with him? Asami was desperate to find out what was wrong and why Takumi was so quiet.

He didn't know what to do except let the nudging happen. He let a fake smile cross his face, though tried to make it look real. She didn't seem upset about him. Perhaps, she did forget about that small detail. He tried to relax, but it was hard doing so. He had changed drastically since the last time they had seen each other. Well, of course it was kind of good since he was an adult now.

"Yes..." he said with a nod. "It has been forever." He paused and smiled thinking on how he was, he wasn't going to tell the truth. "I've been good, and yourself?"

He was good? Takumi didn't act good. Asami found herself looking at Takumi as if he were crazy. Quickly, her head looked around her a little bit as she tried to think of how she was. All she could think about was the little kit that she promised to keep an eye on.

She was still a kit at heart, but she watched over a kit who turned out pretty okay so far. "I've been... busy." The small white ulaya said stretching out a little. It was a good day, the little purple and red kit was on his own today, like she was for most of her young life. Maybe if he was on his own he would grow up at least half way decent.

He nodded at her as she spoke. She seemed rather worried about something. Was it him? Nah. Probably something else. He figured she had already started a family and moved on. She looked great. Him, he didn't know what to do for the moment. "Well, I hope you haven't gotten yourself into any trouble that's caused you to become "Busy"" he said with a laugh. Hoping she'd catch onto what he was saying. He at least had to act happy for a moment. It was nice seeing her again, though dread still hung over his head. Hopefully she wouldn't ask anything about his "Girl" side.

Asami shook her head. "Nah, no troubles here. I just watch over a friends kit at times. For the most part he watches after himself." She sat down and looked into her friend's light green eyes with her dark green ones. "How is your family?" The little white kit asked letting out a little bit of a yawn. Since she had just now waken up she was still waking up.

Takumi laughed. At least she caught on. "Ah, Little ones can always be a pain." He said with a nod. He didn't want to have kids, or at least not like his father did. "Family? I have no clue. I don't see them." He thought of his parents and then his siblings. Not one of them he has seen since they grew up. But he heard stories of his sister having kits.

"No little monsters you have to look after?" She asked with a playful smile. Kits weren't all that bad, but Asami could only stand so many. One was okay, maybe three was pushing it a little, but five and six was over the limits! Of course, the little white ulaya was too childish to have children just yet. They would all turn out too childish like herself and would never know that it was not good to act childish all the time, for she needed to learn that lesson herself.

"God heavens, no." he said not really meaning to sound like he didn't like kits. Well, he truly didn't. They were so innocent, yet not at the same time. He didn't want to ruin them like his parents ruined him. It wasn't like he would have kids, at least anytime soon. He snorted. "I don't even have anyone that would think about baring my children." He laughed. He couldn't help but think that was funny.

Asami couldn't help but giggle at her friend's reaction. "I hope I learn to like them one day... then I can tell my father how old he is." She said jokingly. It had been quite a while since Asami had seen any member of her family. Lately she felt as if she didn't truly have a family, which was somewhat painful to think about. Shaking her head, Asami remembered that she was talking to another ulaya. "Well, I'm sure I will see little Takumis running around one day." That would be a funny sight to see... Takumi as a father.
