Ace is saving up for a ******** waiting until Christmas.
Any suggestions on models (slim, white, etc), accessories (cases, chargers, etc) and, most importantly, games(Silent Hill Origins = definite)?

well, Silent Hill: Origins got canned for the most part, so I would rent it instead of buying it. one of the best games on the PSP is Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. it's a must-own title for any PSP owner. as for the model, that's all up to you. the slim model might not be as sturdy as the normal one because it's smaller, so it's really up to you which model you get.

I don't know about tekken though. I'm not big on button-mashing-fighter games. With me, it just feels like if you played one fighting game, you played them all.

Heh, the only game I look forward to is that Kingdom Hearts game (whose name escapes me). After all, the first Kingdom Hearts was the reason I got a PS2. I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it this time, though.

well, actually, Tekken is somewhat of a button masher, but it's better than Soulcaliber. I would get it if I were you. and not all fighting games are the same. Virtua Fighter wasn't a button masher, and it forced you to remember your combos. if you're not into fighting, then there's always Daxter and ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. or, there's the SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo series.

First off, get the slim model. Silent Hill is only worth it if you are a huge fan of Silent Hill.
Games: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops A Disgaea game is out for it Valkyrie Profile Lenneth Final Fantasy Tactics Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
Hardware: A screen protector is a must 1G memory A usb cable (which you probably have)
That's pretty much it, for all of the bashing the PSP gets, it makes for a great device once you know how to use it beyond gaming.

well, don't get the Valkrie Profile or Castlevania games, only if you're a total hardcore fan of VP and Castlevania. Dead Head Fred was awesome, but Death Jr. just wasn't very good. same for the sequel. they both tried too hard to be funny, and the gameplay wasn't all that great. so, I'd stick with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops., Dead Head Fred, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, Daxter, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.

wahmbulance BUZZ! wahmbulance
Valkyrie Profile garnered universal acclaim for the PSP, so you don't need to be a fan of the "series" (such as it is) to enjoy it. However, I would recommend at least being an RPG fan. Casual gamers need not apply.
I'm getting a PSP in *looks at watch* about 4 or 5 hours. I'll be getting a slim white, with Final Fantasy Tactics and extra memory card for music. The PSP will be my full-time mp3 player.

WAIT! I FORGOT ONE MORE! There's also Mega Man: Powered Up. It was a port of the original, except it added the ability to play as different characters. The cutesy graphics hide what is actually a very solid and addictive game. And, since I'm a Metal Slug fan, I did buy Metal Slug Anthology on the PSP, but only buy it if you're a hardcore Metal Slug fan. But beware: it's plagued with long load times. then again, many PSP games are.....

"OMG, SRSLY, SUPER HUGE INVENTORY FTL111 HOWS CAN U CARRY A TV AN A RADIO N A HUGE AX N A CAR?!11"
I'm just glad there's another SH game with the Alessa/Cheryl Gellespie plot.

Well, if you're an SH fan, get Origins. If not, then.....well, there's always Dementium: The Ward on the DS.
