[[ Revitalized Nature :: A Quest for Animals & Healing]]

Note: I will not be horribly upset if someone else would want to try for either of these; I DO know I have 2 edels and a Dragon King. Animals is just a fun concept I've played with that took life, and Healing kind of spawned on and off over time.

If you're wondering why these two though otherwise:

Animals: All sorts of fun, and I do have an adoration for animals. =O
Healing: Interesting concept that came to mind thanks to a potential host/OC.

[[ Strange Animal :: God of Animals ]]

Name: Animus
Domain: God of Animals
Gender: Male, although looks more genderless then anything.

Appearance: I'm not overly picky, other then seeing him feature many features of animals. I imagine he would be covered in fur. Some feature ideas I've played with are:

* Snake's tail: Probably a rattlesnake or a coral snake. Some deadly type of snake, at any rate. A rattle-type ahs so much potential for amusement when he gets irritated/threatened/mad.
* Deer's antlers: Definitely a nice set like an elder buck's. While pretty they can be dangerous for you. 8D
* Either hooved, or paw'd feet (horse/goat/hooved animal, or cat's): Hooves would be a dominance thing perhaps to stomp, while cats would be silent and stealthy. And hopefully graceful.
* Think wolfy coat: Not sure on this, but it was an idea.
* Some sort of animalish hands; wolf maybe with claws? Or cat if not used on legs.
* Wings of some sort, perhaps a bird of prey or even something like a parrot. 8D
* Animalistic eyes; something other then feline preferred though.
* Hair: I was... not certain. Part of me says go with a Zebra mane - aka a mohawk. Black, of course. It'd be rather awesome and animal-like all the same. Well, stripe in some brown or whatever the closest fur-color is. xd

He is tall, imposing almost; much like one would expect of a pack leader. Bears a few scars which will never fully heal, from fights with lord knows what yet. Either perhaps with other gods, or perhaps with mythical animals and such. o.o Very rugged looking.

Personality: Animus is very predatory and rough with others, a very 'I am the leader' sort of god. While he will respect the authority of those 'higher' then him (in his eyes - Harmodius and the Dragon Kings are very obvious ones he would respect), he has issues with 'equals', and looks down on those he sees below him. He is not one to be tethered or held back from what he wishes to do. I see him either getting along well with gods of the hunt, or hating them thoroughly for some reason - either by attitudes or beliefs. He believes that animals do have their purpose and reasons for being, both for the benefit or mortals and for nature's own course, but also despises those who would seek to interfere with his kind. Has a certain... mindset about women. They are 'below', aside perhaps one he deems the 'alpha' female, and they shoudl do as the male says. (In the past, his coutnerpart was likely his 'alpha' female.) Somewhat cocky and arrogant, very much one to leap to the attack (physical or verbal) when another is 'wounded' and deserving of such.

I see him as being very willful and proud, cunning, quick of mind at times, but also veyr blunt and harsh. A very do or die type of mindset when it comes to others, very unnurturing and careless about some others. Most, anyway. Prefers to dwell aand live more i the moment, but always trying to calculate ahead of things, to predict the actions of others as needed. Very much more fight then flight in attitude, as well.

Likes: Freedom, nature, rain, wind, stalking, strength
Dislikes: Being held back, weakness, civilizations/modern stuff

[[ Restoration :: God of Healing ]]

Name: Halation
Domain: God of Healing
Gender: Male

Appearance: I'm not too set on his appearance actually. Most of this is just loose vagueness, aside some details which sound decent.

Colors: Silver, white, pale blue, pale gold (any or some)
Wings: Some kind of wing, definitely - I'm not sure what kind, but perhaps something a little grandiose, but not too over the top. Something that would catch attention (either by being very large or multiple feathery wings or by being made of something which would catch attention like crystals or gold/silver or something...)
Tail: No clue, this would be a "if you can do something that fits well" thing, as I can't think of anything but don't want to rule out any awesome ideas.
Hair: Golden blonde, not wuite heading into the color of 'true gold', straight, goes to mid back. Hair can possibly be streaked with another color possibly maybe blues or silvery-white.

Possible edits: This one's hard as I'm not wholly sure what I want out of him. Part of me says bandages on him (perhaps ones he could unwind to use in the healing process - something to 'bind up' before he could use his actual powers if needed, and the symbolism bandages (as in wrapping types) would have) - I see him being very straightforward and practical in his dress and approach, nothing too glamorous or over the top or ostentatious, which makes things difficult to decide on edits, as I don't want to go against my own grain. This would totally be something I would leave open, as I'm not sure my bandage idea I even full 100% like.

To be fair, I want to explore the RP side of the domain more then dictate his exact looks. I have some semblance of idea. The reason for the eye-catching wings is I wanted A feature of him to stand out, and the wings made the most sense... also there is some conception of healing being associated to angels, who do have very notable wings. It's also the only area slot I could think of SOMETHING for.

Personality: I see him being somewhat stoic and quiet, speaking with purpose. His actions tend to be with reason and purpose, and he doesn't do much without just cause in doing so. He will tell you what he thinks however, and speak his mind, should he want to make a point about something or perhaps to correct someone. He is very purposeful and reserved, which can make hims seem cold and aloof, but if there is a task for him he will do it and do it with efficiency. His compassion burned out at some point before the fading hit him, possibly due to trying to treat the ailments and having little luck, combined with a bitterness towards humanity for causing it. I see him getting past this eventually due to his host (and warming up to him), although I suspect he will still be pretty purposeful and specific about his actions and words to a degree.

Likes: Quiet, peaceful calm, reading, relaxing
Dislikes: People who cause harm without reason, ....something I will eventually think of~

[[ Disciplined Reason :: Host of Healing ]]

Host Name: Rhashir Dawnfire
Host Age: Appears what humans would consider their early 20's
Host Race: Blood Elf

Race description: Blood Elves are native to Azeroth, a split off faction from the High Elves, and once upon a time far more closely related to the Night Elves. When united under the same banner, the High and Blood Elves had one great flaw - an addition to magical energies. A split happened over how to handle some things - only one great difference defines a Blood Elf from a High Elf aside maybe loyalties and quite probably some other perceived differences... the Blood Elves who went with Kael'thas Sunstrider through the Dark Portal (which at the time was all of them, any who did not are the remaining High Elves) needed a magical energy source. Illidan offered them one - the demons of the Burning Legion. Many, if not all, fed from this magical source to feed their addition and avoid a fate of wasting away into a deprived creature. However, fel magic is a nasty source, and the taint marked them, as their eyes went from a blue glow to the 'familiar' taint of fel green. Attitudes also now mark a vast difference between the two types of elves (high and blood), as well as loyalties (the blood elves have sided with the Horde, via their relations with the Forsaken, while High Elves have remained mostly loyal to the Alliance). Blood elves to this day are still held in the thrall of their addiction, and to give in too heavily is much akin to the way some people get on drugs like cocaine... it is a terrible fate, but such is that when you play too heavily with magic.

((This is a short, semi-encapsulated version of Blood Elves... for more info, there is the internet, and I COULD de-lazy and pull the WOWWiki article...))

Host Physical Description:

Ht: 5' 7"
Wt: He's slender and light enough, he'll have you know~
Eyes: Yellow-green, slight glow
Hair: Dark Blonde
Skin: Somewhat pale, but not pasty white.

Personality: Somewhat cynical, bitter, and sarcastic, yet not without compassion or care. Stubborn, a survivor. Generally nice to his friends, an a** to people who are rude, and respectful to those who deserve or earn it. Despite his rather abrasive attitude towards his brother he is usually a nice person, with a history that's made him a lot less naive and cheerful, but not less dedicated to his beliefs.

History:

Rhashir comes from the Dawnfire family, a family which was somewhat political, joining two figures from the magisters and the farstriders together. While it wasn't something huge, it was expected the children of the family would follow in the footsteps of their parents and be great assets to the Blood Elf community. How wrong they were... Telanthrias, the first born, took to the arts of the warlock, a magic twisted from the original arcane teachings, and he left the family, give or take, to pursue this end, fascinated with the powers it offered and the far more open practices and learning experiences, with far less rigor and formal study and overbearing people... Thankfully the next born, Taelistra, followed in her mother's footsteps in the Farstriders making her the 'family heir' so to speak. After her came the twin boys - Rhashir and Khervias, and both would definitely make waves in the families with their radically different views from the family as they decided what they wanted to do with their lives. Of the two of them however, Rhashir was more accepted only because his path choice - of the priesthood - seemed a more vital and necessary thing, and at least already established unlike the Blood Knights (paladins). The next in line, a sister, disowned the family to pursue thievery, and the next daughter after that took up the mantle of magehood, aspiring to joining the ranks of the Magisters one day.

In a family as fractured as this, with heavy expectations and criticism at every turn, Rhashir lost some of his optimism in things. However, his faith did not falter, and he held to us beliefs, despite both family and church scrutiny. He would not accept the shadow discipline in his teachings, and refused to learn anything of it. Of the power of using light as a weapon, he also refused - he would cause no harm unto others. This lead him to rely on others should he have to travel to protect himself, or else, become very good at evasion - which he did to a degree. But, it was on assignment in the Ghostlands he met up with Velisia Songwinter. She was a rare breed -one of the defenders who was female, but she had combat prowess that even some of the males would envy. They made an excellent team, with his keeping her alive and well, and she dispatching anything getting in their way. Alas, one of her assignments sent her deep into enemy (scourge) territory, and the whole party was lost - Rhashir had not been privy to this event or assignment from either her or the priests who sent someone else along to aid them. He blamed himself partly for this, certain he'd let slip their relationship and the priesthood disproved of it... and thus, did not send the more competent (in his mind, although there was some truth to it) person to do the job. He believes he should have been there... at least then he would not have had to live without her, or the guilt. This was a turning point in his life, making him quite bitter towards many things and becoming more cynical and sarcastic about things - but still he did not change his stance on what he used. Thankfully, the priests were now working with the Blood Knights and he had the enjoyable presence of his twin (well, somewhat enjoyable, they occasionally disagreed on the fact Blood Knights drew the light forcibly). While out together one day, over in Tarren Mill, they ran into their older brother. It was a bit of a tense meeting at first, but they eventually settled (most of) their differences. However, neither twin was about to tell the family of their meeting. And while neither twin exactly agreed with his path choice (it ran counter to theirs), they were all somewhat outcasts of their families for their choices, and a light bond of brotherhood formed.

Little did they know, though, that life was about to be very altered, as the twins arrived to Telanthrias' place just in time to have a spell go awry - terribly, badly, off-kilter and rip them from their world into another. Which happened to deposit Telanthrias and Rhashir together, and... no clue what happened to Kherivas. Rhashir gave Telanthrias an earful for the whole ordeal, but his brother made some sense, if not ignoring apologizing for the whole mess - arguing about it and accusations were going to do no good in this... place. Or help finding their brother... Thankfully for them, they had luck on their side - one of their first encounters was Kheviel Nightfeater, who had, in fact, come from another world himself, and managed to adapt, and offered to aid the unlikely pair in getting used to things. Kheviel saw the bonus in aiding them, aside possible elven kinship - they knew magical things, where he didn't, and setting up a favor bank was definitely in his interest. Thankfully, a real friendship formed, although it was a bit stronger between Telanthrias and Kheviel then Rhashir and Kheviel. Thansk to Kheviel however, they did learn that Kherivas was still alive and well, and somewhere in the world, making his own way. This ended some of the bickering between the brothers, although squabbles still arise to this day. Rhashir has tended to Kheviel more then once, mending up some rather interesting wounds and clearing him of some lesser infections garnered in the process of his occupation, but he can't repay the relief of knowing his twin is alive.

((Fff, a novel. He wrote himself slightly, really. He started just as a dabble in playing something different and evolved into a history monster... although the whole world kick had to be allotted for via tweaking. Hehe.

Rhashir is someone who really has to be played to really show him better -- trying to explain his outlook and attitude I find is hard, even though I can usually figure his responses. He used to be a nicer person, but even with his bitter attitude towards life sometimes, he's still compassionate when someone's suffering he can help.))

Why this Host?

Rhashir was a bit of a brain flash, more then once. His belief in healing only (and support) truly is a difference of faith compared to many other priests of his place and time - most embrace the powers of light and shadow as well. This would put him directly as a follower of the god of healing, as that's his sole want and desire to do. (Although he could use some himself, more times over then he'd want to admit - but in ways other then physical...) He has sought a cure/to heal himself of his magical addiction, but no such luck - which has also lead to some bitterness as he'd hoped a strong enough faith perhaps could cure himself and maybe his people. Despite this, and despite not being there for his love, he still continues to cling to his faith and aid others, although his knowledge and outlook are different. He encourages people to care for themselves, and to avoid situations where he would need to work his magic, and how to treat themselves should such powers not be available either.

In the Gehenna, this meant an awful lot of work for him and a lot of strain, which was multiplied when he learned of Kheviel's fate and was unable to break the spell either, and neither could Telanthrias. Despite the personal stress though he carried on, aiding any in need (and calling on his brother to bring the pain on anyone hassling his 'patients' ... while he might not agree with the methods, he didn't need more problems/remending from people being complete jerks and trying to hurt them (or himself!) for things...). The two bothers now live in a small community of survivors as their protectors for the moment.

I see the God gaining something from knowing that such dedication to his ways was going on even in his absence. I see him also gaining knowledge of the current times somewhat, and the support of someone who would wholly accept such a fate. In return (in possible) on fusion, Rhashir could maybe slowly be cured of his addiction and live his last times in a relative peace from the need. For Rhashir, even without that, it would be much for him to do, because it would be giving the ultimate hope to many to have the god reborn, a true act of faith for him. He could also eventually quit dwelling on the past, and also leave the world happier, knowing that someone else was 'taking his place' to help cure the ails of the world. (Metaphorically, rather then directly literally.)

For the God, as, I said, I see him gaining a boon in being bonded to someone who followed his path, giving him faith that there are others as well, despite his absence (and fall), that things have changed. He could learn that even the gods need to be compassionate to everyone, and to care for all things, as that perhaps was his downfall. I'd have to heavily consider the background for that, but... I just see it working out for both in the end.

I'm still tweaking stuff (Hi there God of Healing) or ... still need to put info in (HI NO HOST FOR ANIMALS....)

mrgreen Seriously, my brain was like... O HAI DERE suddenly on healing, after brewing on and off, and then gravitating towards a character, then latching onto it like a hungry metroid or something. O_o;; Then it kind of caught fire and the diea took life. OR SOMETHING.

Animals I wanted to work on the host, wanted to change, but now I'm fussing around with WHO because I have a few potential (non-intro'd or immediately going to be intro'd) characters who could work. It's just a matter of finding the suitable one. o_o;

SO YES... the plan is one of these two are to come to life perhaps one day. Animal god concept is solid, and the plans/ideas behind Healing I like - of the two I'm really leaning more towards Healing. While I do like my concept personality for animals, it's not something that really is tugging at me for a MUST HAVE as much as Healing is trying to do. (Providing the concept/domain is viable... hah.)
