Kapik woke up, stretching her front legs, leaning a bit back letting a big yawn take over her body. She then shifted her weight and let a sweet release of tension vanish as the back legs were feeling better, but still a bit sleepy. She shook her whole body and let out one final yawn as the sun beat down on her back.
She was having a wonderful dream, of being in a field of flowers and prancing around. It wasn't a dream when she was little and her parents were still around but she now had the feeling of flowers and butterflies in her stomach as she awoke. She had been grown for quite some time but today seemed different, a scent lingered in the air that made her remember someone special. She shruged it off as the sun was now fully out from behind the horizon as it pushed the moon down for a good days rest. She had a long day ahead of her and she wanted to make the best of it.
Kapik was now grown and she loved being bigger. She could run faster and she could jump higher. She had always envied adults as they looked down on her, now she could face eye level with them. But she hadn't met many adults, she had always met some her age, and only one remained in her memory. She wished she could see him again.

The ebony coated Dog bounded through the snow, his eyes bright and his muscles new. He had much liked getting bigger. It meant, mostly, that he could stray from his family's pack.. Not that too much was going on in the way of family bonding anyway.
Pausing, he cast his gaze to the snow covered ground. His nose and eyes had improved much since his younger stage. He could smell the scent of something vaguely familiar.. Something also of wolf descent. Keeping his eyes open, he noticed soft footfalls in the snow.
Curiosity normally killed the cat.. But this could be such a case where you hear of the dog actually being the one killed. His muscles tight and ready to release him to the other, he looked past the bush, eyes wide.
"Kapik?"

Kapik pawed at the snow as she stopped for a brief secound, her heard flickering back and forth as she heard the distant call of her name. She turned around as to her surprise, it was Tonrar. She was almost speechless, she wanted to run towards him and jump on him. But she was an adult now, it would've been alright if she was a pup or teen but now she had to act her age.
"Tonrar?"
Her voice calm as she spoke but a bit nervous since seeing him made her heart skip a beat. She padded forward to see that he was all bigger as well. "My, my." A smile cut across her face. "Haven't you grown."

He almost bounded over towards her, but came to find it wasn't the best idea. Jumping all over her now could prove nothing but the fact that he hadn't really grown at all. He was much bigger now, but then again, looking her over, she had grown much too.
His heart almost paused while he looked her over. Her caramel pelt a glistening color of magnificence and glory. Oh, how he had loved her so long ago.
He had remembered what a good friend she had been. He had taken her in for a couple weeks, until they were forced to split, as his family had moved again, and she hadn't been ready to leave.
"Aye, as have you." He said, voice soft, but still teh deep brooding voice of the adult male.
"It's nice to see you again Kapik."

Kapik smiled as she stopped a few feet away from him. Remembering the good old days when they were teens, it was some fun time, but now they had to catch up on the lost time between each other.
"Thanks, I love being an adult."
She smiled and couldn't help but look into those eyes she hadn't see in forever. "It is nice to see you as well." She took a few steps closer and she nudged him with her muzzle against his shoulder. She remembered how warm his fur had been.
"I really missed you Tonrar." She pulled her muzzle out of his dark coat and smiled.

He had missed her dearly, and he had told her he would be back. He had been gone longer than planned.. But he hoped that she would forgive his absense. His family had had little bits of a falling out over time, and now, he was what was left of his heart.
He had been traveling away now, and hadnt really taken the time to see mother and father, his sisters either. He hadnt cared. When he had left, he had left the memory of them behind.
"I missed you as well." He said, giving her his own nuzzle to her soft pelt. He had remembered her warmth. It was a warmth he had missed so dearly.

Kapik couldn't help but smile and blush a bit when he nuzzled her. His touch was so comfortable. She never thought she would feel about another dog.
"I'm gad to here that."
When they had last met he had told her he would be back in a few days but he hadn't. It wasn't just his fault, she could have gotten off her lazy butt and found him herself. Maybe he had family issues and she didn't want to ask about it. She though it better to leave that behind.
"Um..." She was speechless when she tried to talk to him, afraid of saying the wrong thing and looking stupid.

"Speak to me as a friend Kapik! I have missed you terribly, and I wont stand for awkward silences." He said, licking her face in one long stroke. He knew it was goofy, but if he remembered correctly, he had been goofy with her before, and she seemed to enjoy it..
Besides.. He was never given the chance to be free with his emotions. With Kapik, he had never had an issue voicing his concern.
"How have you been?" He asked, tail wagging like crazy, and his blue sapphire eyes staring into hers. Wow. Her gaze made his heart skip little beats as he watched her. That could be potentially a good thing. But what was going on within him?

Her lost of words must have told him something was up with her as her eyes grew wide as his tongue touched her cheek. "I just seem to have a loss of words around you.. that's all." She said with a smile.
"I've been a bit bored, just roaming around, thats about it. What about you?"
She had had a bit of a boring life, not really meeting anyone new when she left Tonrar, she never felt the urge to meet new people but it would probaly be nicer now that he was around.
Her blueish-gray eyes sparkled as the sun hit her face at the right angle, not blinding her the littlest bit. It was warm against her back and it gave her a break from the cold nights.

He had to look away from her eyes as she glanced at him. It was too much for the older dog to bear. She had no idea what she was doing to him. Hell, he had no idea what she was doing to him.
"My life has been about the same. I haven't done anything but stay alive since I left you."
he said, not really meeting.. anyone since he had left. He had kept to himself, and he'd even been a rarity to his family. Finally he looked back at her eyes, watching them sparkle in the sun.
"Beautiful." He whispered.

Kapik and Tonrar had the same life after they had left each other. She guessed that great minds thought alike or something else was going on but she pushed it a side as she heard him mumble.
"Huh?"
She asked as her ears flickered and her tails kept a steady pace behind her as she smiled at him. She was having a great time with him, she wished it could stay like this, that she would have this feeling forever deep inside her as it was unique to her.

Well.. it was now or never right? What more could she do? Turn him down and tell him to never talk to him again? Well he had fully expected her to do that in response to his dissappearance.
Looking at her, taking in her beauty and mustering everything he had, he offered up the explaination for what he had said.
"I said you're beautiful.."
He said, hoping she wouldnt find him too forward.

Kapik smiled and blushed some more, her whole pelt felt like it had turned a reddish-pink. "Thank you." She took a few steps forward and leaned into his hear, nuzzleing him a bit.
She knew what this feeling was, he mother had told her about it, it was love as she muttered the words. "I love you..." Kapik softly whispering it into his ear as she felt her stomach start to turn into knots. How would he take it? Would he be tooken back from it and leave her.

His eyes widened a bit as the information hit home in his brain. Had he heard her correctly? Shifting his weight to another foot he smiled at her, genuinely surprised.
"I.. Love you too Kapik."
He said, giving her his own little nuzzle. He licked her face gently, and nosed her shoulder a bit. Wagging his tail happily, he couldnt help but let out a little yelp of happiness.

Kapik nuzzled him as well. This feeling was amazing and she never wanted it to go away for as long as she was beside him. "This is probably the best moment of my life." SHe said as she couldn't recall any other time she was as happy as she was at the moment.
His nuzzle's and lick's sent chills up her spine as she returned the favor by licking his nose a couple times and nuzzling him more.
