╔══♫══╗ ╔♪══♪══♪╗ I think it's a matter of being open and accepting, looking beyond the surface and into the person. The only thing that differs women from men is the body. A persons personality is not determined by your gender. I personally think everyone is at least bi-sexual. Take children for example: girls says "eww boy cooties" we are starting so young. And it's okay for little boys to hold hands. But once we get older we are taught differently - some follow these teachings where others take their own path - which has become socially unacceptable in many cultures. But this is just my opinion =) ╚═♪═══♪═╝ ╚══♫══╝

I think people seek to try to explain some things, scientifically, that are beyond our understanding for the time. I think sexuality is one of those things. No one can even really tell me why I prefer members of the opposite sex, let alone why some people prefer members of the same sex.
I think a lot of it does have to do with how open minded a person is, like Yumi has stated. A lot of children are taught things at a young age (such as only girls play with Barbies, and only boys play with footballs and cars) that are gender specific. Eventually they're taught that only boys are supposed to like girls and only girls are supposed to like boys. There's always those few that see past those gender boundaries. When I was younger, I detested playing with Barbie dolls. I would much rather play video games or cars with my brother, but my parents, my mother especially, pushed me to play with dolls. In fact, I pretty much always got a new Barbie for my birthday or Christams, even though I hated them.
I can't say what led me to like the things I do. I just like them. I think the same thing can be said for attractions to people. It just sort of happens. Maybe I'm just one of those people that isn't as open minded, I suppose, seeing as I never really found myself attracted to other girls, but then again, I never really thought about it, to be honest.

I'm not sure why people like the same sex. When I was younger, I thought maybe it was a chemical imbalance in the brain. Nature tells us that Man+Woman= heart because they make babies...but now I think that was pretty stupid. I think pretty hate machine is right.
