OK, sorry about the silence lately, been working out the gaggle of ideas that I've been coming up with.
The first is something to deal with the titles and the divisions within. We're jumping down to 3 titles, the World's Heavyweight Championship, the FS Division Championship, and the Tag Team Championship. The Gaia Championship will be merged with the WHC at Eternity II, on September 27th, 2005.
Now, with 3 divisions, it means alot more competition for each title. Even more so as I'll be posting a thread for you to declare which division you want to be in. The FS Division is NOT just for Cruiserweights, and instead is for all that have a high-risk, high-reward style of wrestling. Sort of like TNA's X Division. I'm gonna make all attempts to keep FS and WHC people seperate, as there's a WWE mentality that cruisers are only good for squashin', and everyone knows how much I hate booking like the Big E.
Now, I'm also gonna set myself up some new rules as far as booking. There will now be a public rankings page, where people will be given points according to thier win-loss percentage. The person at the top of the rankings for each division at the end of a PPV will be given the title match at the next PPV. If there's a tie, then we'll have a number 1 contender's match. And it'll be legit, with promos being the deciding factor in who wins that match.
Also, about promos... I'd like to insititute a 1 a week rule on promos, but I don't think it would go over well. I think we need to get back to promoing, now that there's a relaxation on matches. Anyway, we'll figure that out at another time.
Now, onto booking. People were constantly complaining about never getting to work storylines they came up with. Well, that's been changed. I, as a booker, will only be directly handling the title fueds with those involved in them. Since a PPV usually has 6-9 matches, that leaves 3-5 fueds for the workers to make on thier own. However, I'll only accept ideas if they're fully formed. As in, I won't accept an fued idea if they just come up to me saying, "I wanna work with (blank)." Have ideas for weekly events, or at least a general progression of the storyline. If you want it to go 2 months+, then let me know so I can plan accordingly. I'm trying to give you more control over your character, but I can't do that if you don't know what you wanna do.
Next on my agenda is The Buddy System. A sure-fire way to expand the tag team ranks! Our actual tag teams are low, so by doing this, I'll have a full division to work with. Anyone know knows me knows I love tag wrestling more than anything and I've been dreaming of a good way to implement a working division.
How It Works: Everyone will have a partner. This will either by of thier choosing or chosen for them. First come first serve when it comes to partners. I will be opening the thread for this at 3AM EST. This partner will be yours for a whole year, unless circumstances require a breaking of the tag team, such as betrayal or the partner leaving the federation. In such an event, 30 days will be given to find a new partner, or else one will be assigned. This partner will allow for 2 things: an ally at all times, and a way to work more tag matches into storylines.
Another agenda item: The Appeals Board. This is a new IC organization which will never be seen. It will have a spokesperson, Karlos Karribbean Kool, but other than that, you will never hear the group personally. This group will hear wrestler complaints and may be able to alter, but not overturn, Blade's decisions. For example, a wrestler may feel he's more qualified than another to be in a title match. Rather than overturning the first match, the appealee will be added to the match to make a Triple Threat/3-Way-Dance.
The Appeals Board works into a new Law, in which the loser(s) of a title match cannot challenge for that title again until another PPV has passed, unless the person wins an appeal. For example, if DarkFyre were to win the WHC from Voorhees @ Eternity II, Voorhees would have to wait until Mutual Annihilation in December to get a rematch. As said before, if the appealee wins thier appeal, then the scheduled title match becomes a 3 Man Match.
Anyway, I guess this is all, except to announce that I'm gonna have a booking staff. A formal one. I'm still in charge, but I'll be deferring to Ryan, MattV1, Stephen, and Keith for my ideas. If you want them to help you with your fued ideas, go ahead and ask them. They'll present a final product to me and I'll give it the big ol' REJECT'D! or APPROVED~!
Anyway... Thoughts, comments, praises? Reply to this thread with them.
Oh forgot one thing: Ragnarok is cancelled, and instead, we'll have a Madness: Night of Champions V on August 24th. I'll have a card up for it on Monday.
