This was something that came in our ward's newsletter thing, and I thought this would be good to post since it's close to Turkey Day, aka Thanksgiving Day.

Be thankful that you don't have everything you disire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful for what you don't know...it gives you a opportunity to lean

Be thanful for the difficult times...during those times you grow

Be thankful for the limitations...they give you the opportunities for improvement

Be thankful for a new challenge...it will build strngth and character

Be thankful for your mistakes...they will teach you valuable lessons

Be thankful when you are weary...it means you're made a difference

Be thanful for the mess after a party...if meas you have friends

Be thankful for the taxes you pay...it means you are employed

Be thankful for clothes that fit a little snug...if means you have plenty to eat

Be thankful for a shadow that watches you work, it means you are out in the sunshine

Be thankful for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing...it means you have a house

be thankful for the spot you find at the far end of the parking lot...it means you are capable of walking

Be thankful for all the complaining you hear about our government...it means we have a freedom of speech

Be thankful for a huge heating bill...it means you are warm

Be thankful for the lady behind you in church service who sings off key...it means you can hear

Be thankful for the piles of laundry and ironing...it means your loved ones are nearby

Be thankful for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours...it means you're alive

Be thankful for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day..it means you have been productive

I know most of us here doesn't actally own a house, but i thought this was good anyways (though I'd actually think of these things myself). And why the Saix and Luxord avatars/icons?.....i just thought they were cool......anyways, HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!! What are you guys doing for thanksgiving?

Awesome. I've read something like that a while ago but it's always good to keep in mind. I'll add a personal one to that. I'm thankful that I wasn't able to take leave right out of tech. training(for financial reason) because now I can take twice as many days off and will have money in pocket for my visit home. Along with one of the staff sergeants at my work (within one minute of meeting me) inviting me to join her and her fiance for Thanksgiving seeing as how I didn't have anything else planned.

I'm thankful for Helmets and safety. My cousin was hit by a car while riding her moped like scooter one night about three weeks ago and if she wasn't her helmet she would have died.

The really cool part was when she went to the hospital she had a cat scan and they thought they saw evidence of two brian hemerages. She was given a preisthood blessing and in the morning when they did another scan to see if they hemerages were gettting worse they could see no sign of any brain damage!

We had a Thanksgiving week back when I was in Seminary and I remember saying, "I'm thankful for wigs, because then all the bald people can have hair." And the class is all like, "o_______O"

And then I finished off with, "And I'm thankful for Wig Stores, because without them bald people wouldn't have anywhere to go to buy their wigs!"

xD
