It was early morning and Waka was sleeping inside the den with all the other cubs and mommy. She didn't know where daddy was, but for now it didn't really matter. The only thing that mattered was to figure out what to do for the day. All the other cubs knew that mommy favoured Waka the most, and she was glad to show it too. Mommy saw something in the little cub that no one else could. She rolled over with a grunt as she landed to the cold floor of the den. Where did the warmth go?! Squealing, she peered her eyes open slightly and then headbutted her way back to mommy's belly. As she bulldozed through the crowd of siblings, she pushed them all to the side and took all the warmth for herself. A few minutes later she decided that she was too awake to fall back asleep, so she stood up, stepped over her sisters and then padded to the den's opening curiously. Her ears rose and her eyes widened as she looked to the sand dunes and blue sky ahead. With excitement, the little cub bounded outside into the sand and rolled around playfully, making much noise in the process. It didn't matter to her. She didn't really care if her sisters were still sleeping or not. It wasn't like mother was going to yell at her.
Lilo was sleeping peacefully at her mother and sisters' sides, for it was too early in the morning to be up and about in her opinion. She was woken first by the squeal of a familiar voice, and only rolled her eyes and rolled over to go back to sleep. Umlilo was very well aware of her mother's favoritism, especially where the source of the sound had come from, and she was more than happy to try to ignore the attention-stealing cub and continue sleeping. She grunted unhappily when she and the others were pushed to the side, and opened one blue eye to see what was going on. It didn't surprise her, and she didn't do more than squirm closer to the nearest source of warmth and attempt to go back to sleep.. but it didn't last very long, and as soon as Waka started rolling around and being loud, Umlilo found that she was wide awake. She lifted her head and looked out at the opening of the den, taking a moment to wonder if she wanted to go out and get her to stop or if she would just try to ignore it again. Ignoring it didn't seem like it was possible, though.
Waka continued to play around in the sand for a while, making lots of noise for all the cubs to hear. She knew they were waking up, and it made the smirk on her maw grow wider. Then she padded up to the opening of the den and grinned. "Gooooood Morning, everyone!" She was hoping everyone would wake up and get ticked off. She liked to make everyone mad, no matter what. Least it kept her busy.
Lilo looked around her when Waka strolled into the opening and wished them all a good morning. It looked like only she was having a really hard time ignoring their darkest and most annoying sister, and Waka seemed to be making it her goal to have them all awake. Much to Lilo's annoyance, she was actually wide awake now.. so Waka had succeeded with her, at least. With her usual apathetic expression, the dark cub got to her feet, stretched out her legs and walked out of the den, right on by her sister.
The cub grinned as her sister made her way out. Oooh yes, now the fun would really begin. "Good morning, Lilo! Have a nice sleep?" She slanted her eyes and smirked. "Mother is quite warm ... but, someone pushed me this morning to the cold floor. I'll find out the culprit behind it, just you wait!" She held out a paw, clenching it with anger. She really was angry. If it wasn't for whoever pushed her, then she wouldn't have waken up, made a racket, or woken anyone else up and they'd all still be nestled beside mother's warmth, sleeping like a bunch of newborns. But, nothing could change the past now. She simply chased after her sister, her claws extended.
"Wasn't me," Lilo said calmly, though she hardly expected that to be taken as the truth, "I was beside Savitri, no where near you." She didn't seem too keen on continuing the conversation, or answering any of her sisters questions. It wasn't really that she was trying to be rude, more that she just didn't care enough to answer- especially when it seemed like the questions were more of a threat than pleasent conversation. She kept her back to her sister, though, and didn't look back as she continued to walk along the warming sand.
