His gaze was faltering. He hadnt really kept his eyes on one thing since he had started walking. So many things to catch his eye and he was having a very hard time keeping on one thing. His duster blew behind him, as the heavy black leather coat flung around his shoulders and clung to his body. His teal eyes glimmered in the moonlit night, with the stars sparkling like fireflies.
His smile was more of a grin stretched across his face, as his fangs sparkled with the glimmer of the stars.

Beneath the moonlit sky, a young colt snuck away from his mother and father once more. He usually did what he was told, but he also enjoyed time to himself, plus he wanted to see the butterflies that came out at night. He had found one, a great big green one, and proceeded to chase it a ways from where his family slept.
Ochoco would have run smack dab into the older male if he hadn't been paying at least some attention to where he was going. He skidded to a stop and looked up at him, eyes widening at the weird tail and even weirder teeth. "Hi?" The greeting came out as more of a question, unsure of who this new adult was.

The colts voice hit him, and his eyes instinctively went lower than the sky. This was the second little one who tried to get his attention, though the other had been considerably smaller, and alot less proportioned in the body department. Something called a.. Usdia or something.
His eyebrow raised, and his smile left his face as he just stood there, giving a look towards the foal that had spoken to him. He hadnt the slightest want to speak to the little ones, they werent any fun, as they never truly understood the whole Vampire thing.
"Um..Hello." He said, voice not soft, but it wasnt intimidating either. It was more confused.

Ochoco blinked up at the stallion, unsure why he would sound confused. He had been, of course, because he'd never seen another horse like this one before, but that was understandable because he was just a foal and hadn't met many others. But for a grown-up to be confused at seeing a foal... Maybe it was because it was late and be all rights Ocho should be asleep. That was probably it.
He smiled when he saw the horn coming out from the stallion's forehead, one similar to his smaller spiral. But their tails were different and their teeth, too. "Why is your tail different from mine? And your teeth?" he asked, taking a step closer to get a better look. He honestly couldn't help asking, his curiosity was evident in his tone. He might have asked about the dark thing, too, but he felt that two questions were enough for one go.

Because foals asked questions, was the only reason Spike really just didnt interact with foals. Their questions bugged him, and they were generally the same. Such as, 'Where did that horn come from?'. Initially, he had believed himself to be a truly rare breed, if not the only one, but this foal had a spiraling horn, much like he did. His eyes danced over the small foal, and he spoke in his heavy English accent.
"My.. tail? Im not sure why, little bit. I don't know why your tail is different than mine."
The question on his fangs made him smile a bit. It was a mischevious, dark grin. "What can I say, Little Bit, I've always been Bad." He said smiling.

Ochoco looked up at him skeptically and circled him a bit. "Hmmm... You don't look bad to me," he replied in a tone that said he was strong in his opinions. In truth, he saw little difference between them, but then that was just how Ochoco saw things. He knew that some horses didn't have his special horn, in fact, he was the only one of even his extended family that did, apart from his mother. And then it dawned on him
"I know why my tail is different!" he exclaimed and his own smile had a hint of mischief in it, because he thought of it and the adult did not. "It's different because my poppa has a tail like mine."

He looked at the colt curiously as he watched and listened. So, this foal didnt think he was bad eh? Well.. He could prove it.
"I am too. Im bad. Very evil. Grrrr.." He said, baring his front fangs, trying his hardest to get the foal to change his opinion.
"Your dad has your tail? Then.. Im willing to bet that that is a very good explaination." He said, his lion-like tail flicking against his body, and catching the black duster that hung over his body.

Ochoco jumped a bit before looking at the odd stallion as he had before. "You still don't seem very bad. Or scary," he said rather bluntly before the subject was changed. "Yup. Well, my momma has the same tail and horn as me, but my poppa's is the same color as mine. Momma and Poppa have wings, though," he confirmed the statement and the swish of the different tail made that black thing move again, catching the foal's attention.
"What is that thing on your back?" he asked, tilting his head a bit as he stared at the duster.

He raised an eyebrow. What was it with foals and wanting to know things? He had no idea why things were the way they were. Or for that matter, why he had taken such a fancy to the dark leather cloak, called a Duster.
"I have no bloody idea. It's neat though, innit?" He asked, giving his own question to the foal.

Ochoco blinked at the stallion's black cape-thingy and made a face as he tried to figure out if he agreed with him or not. It was... well, neat was an appropriate word now that he thought about it.
"Yeah, it is neat. Where'd you get it... ..." It was then that he realized that neither of them had said their name yet. He found that very bad manners, especially on his part as he usually remembered things like that.
"My name's Ochoco, what's your's?" he asked, rather out of the blue, but he deemed it necessary.

Spike had inherited the duster from his adversary that he had fought, and beat. The other unicorn had gladly given up the duster to save his own life at the time.
"Got it from a good friend." He said nodding, not going to tell the little one the truth.
"Name's Spike. Odd name you got there." He said, not insulting, but just making an observation.
