A Little Birdy Told Me [PRP Spike and Birdy]

His blacked hooves trampled over the grasses of the new lands he had arrived not too long ago to. He had been here for maybe a few days now. He wasnt really counting, as time really didnt exist to him. He didnt worry about the things time brought.
Why worry? Eventually what was going to happen, would happen anyway.

His blackened horn, with the tip of red that gleamed in the moonlight, stuck out from his forehead, his eyes bright and gleaming. He was mischevious, and he was sure he was going to like it here.
Casting a lopsided grin to the ground, he shook his head, eyes closed. His eyes werent closed for long, as when the Teal Orbs opened, he was ready to go.He wondered who would be out tonight. He personally didnt care, as he was perfectly content being alone.

The stars were gleaming, and so was he.

A soft rush of feathers and the soft trilling of night birds and insects were not all that greating the wondering unicorn. Dark night was brightened with brilliant shades of emerald, sapphire, and topaz. No colors that should ever be found on a horse but yet there they were. Dainty mint and silver hooves graced the ground and moved on without hardly ever leaving a mark, as if she could just bearly keep herself on the ground.

She liteded black eyes to look around her curiously, makeing soft whisteling noises that mimiced the songbirds of autumn's night perfectly. The glint of a horn and flashes of pale cold and peach caught her attention. Tilting her head to the side quizicaly she pranced over, her whisteling getting a littel louder, always loveing to sing for an audiance. Wings would have fluffed out happily if they had been but more then painted to the sides of her body. Her black and silver tail swayed as she tilted her head back and let out a cascade of notes that echoed and danced through the night air to this new unicorn.

What the-. Was someone singing? He shook his head, instantly irritable that hte singing would have penetrated his dark and lovely night. He shook his head, huffing, but took off in the direction. Maybe it would be worth his time.
Probably not, but hey.. Its not like he knew where he was. Maybe he could learn the name of this area he had taken such a liking.

His creme legs were brushed with the heavy black duster that hung from his body. It blew out behind him as he walked, and his mane followed right aong with it, even though they were two very different shades.
Peroxide blonde, and heavy ebony. Different indeed.

He saw the green and heavily designed mare, and his head cocked. She was rather interesting looking, if he had ever seen anything interesting before.
He lurked in the shadows, his eyes watching and waiting for her movements.

True nightbirds watched the littel mare warily, enjoying the company of someone who sounded like them, but unsure of her obviouse phisical distances. They didnt know that She honestly thought she was a bird, and that she had been singing the same songs she had leaned as a filly from the birds around her.

She swished her tail, a convinceing mimic of a bird ruffeling their tail feathers, and continues to sing. Horses neighed and whinnied but somehow she seemed to chirp and tweet and sing like any tiny littel songbird, her black eyes shineing happily as she whisteled in pure joy of just singing. Some birds would sing in joy of company, or to greet the new day, or just for the sake of singing. she was definatly the later, and her ears twiched, hearing the foot-falls of the back hoofed unicorn in the shadows, singing happily for him even if she was unsure if he appriciated it or not.

"Oh Bloody 'Ell." He whispered.

"Who might you be, pet?"
He asked, exiting the shadows to be more mocking and intimidating. His eyes were mocking, but his face was playful. His gaze was catching, and he considered this mare to be rather fetching.. Even if she decided that singing was the new Nicker.
She was an interesting shade of color, and his head cocked as he looked at her.

She turned shiney black eyes to the unicorn, her tail swaying happily. She shook her head in a motion that traveled all the way down her body, like when a finch ruffels their feathers. She mearly gave another whistle, but managed a nice sing-song word. " Birdy " It seemed to be realy the only thing she could say in the common language

She smiled plesantly at the stallion, tilting her head ina mirror of his won action. She had yet to see a unicorn before, so her glassy eyes traveled up his face to the spiral horn. She made her way over curiously, shiney hooves bearly touching the ground and she made it over in three littel bounds and chirped under her breath, almost mre to herself then anything as she examined him curiously.

His eyebrows raised again as she chirped a word. Birdy, she had said. He was assuming that was her name. As she acted of a bird.. she even.. chirped.
His eyes traveled over her as hers traveled over him.

He.. had no idea what to do with a mute mare, as that was indeed what she seemed, if you took away the sing song voice.
But.. why would he want to take away her voice?

"Lovely voice you have there, pet. Do you fancy yourself a bird, though?"  

[Niloufer]

She slid her eyes back down his face to meet his gaze, and them smiled brilliantly at the compliment. If she had feathers they would have ruffeled with pleasure. At his question she tilted her head and then tossed her head back, curled mane falling over a shoulder as she pranced in a small circle, showing over her wings, traced onto her sides like some elegant tattoo of fur and color, as if that should answer all of his questions.

Of course she was a bird, what else would she be?

Such a unique creature he was, the fangs were of extrea interest to her, but she did not seem afraid. If he had been a hungry predator she probably would have been attacked by now,.

She was motioning to her body, as if showing herself off. Did that answer his question? Was she telling him that she indeed did think herself a bird? That was odd, he had never met a Soquili that had thought themselves something other than horses. Maybe two leggers, but..
His mouth grimaced as his tongue showed distaste for the word Two-legger. Vile fiends they were. He'd indeed like to off a couple of them, just for their sakes.

"Well.. Indeed."

He said.. Not sure what to say to her. He felt a bit odd now, as if he was really talking to a bird. But she was a fascinating little creature. It pulled at him, he really wanted to continue 'talking' to her.

"Well you are a lovely mare, pet. Most lovely."

She blinked as he made a face if distain and for a moment a look of worry crossed her lime and black face, worried that she had somehow offended him with her littel chirps, wich would have been most unusual sence most horses had no idea wth she was saying.

Once again a happy smile curled across her face, causeing her black eyes to shine as if they were indeed the black of a night sky trapped in the emerald of her face. She fluffed her tail happily at the moment, almost preening and streached out her nose to give him a soft nuzzle of thanks acompanies by a happy cheeping.

While she was not a particularly vain creature, any brightly colored birdy loved to be complimented, especialy on her coat and colors. If she had known how to speak the same language as him she would have returned the compliment, his horn and fangs were completly fastinateing to her, ontop of the fact that she hadent been eaten yet.

He smiled, seeing the way his compliment had affected the mare.
"Why, Im glad you enjoyed that."

He said, keeping his hooves to the earth. He had to refrain from walking, as he had been doing it all night. It was majorly boring, to walk alone, and he enjoyed this mare immensely.

He gave another dashing smile, before shaking his head to let his mane [however short it really was] brush against his neck and forehead. A platinum color it seemed to be.

Unnatural for sure.

"So Birdy, Name's Spike. What should I call you by?"
He was rather fond of the nickname Birdy. He knew no matter what her name, unless it offended her, her name would be Birdy forever to him.
