Banned books are those that are usually worth reading, unlike those silly books about someone's experience in high school and what not. I personally find those books worthless since they don't give the reader any creative or intellectual boost.
So what do you think about censorship? I'm sure everyone here is against it. but opinions are always nice.

Art imitates reality. If a book is censored, bowdlerised, or forcibly 'dumbed down,' then it likely has a resonant tone that is reflective of some aspect of society that we would like not to admit to ourselves. Because of this, it is usually worth reading.

Banning books is stupid. Seriously, why was "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret" put on the banned list? Or "The Face on the Milk Carton"? Or any of the other ones put on there since I read them like 10 years ago? The first one talks about the confusion of puberty and sex as a teenager, and the second one was about kidnapping.
There are also books out there offering support for children who have same sex parents, but those are on the banned list too. I guess children who are confused about that topic can't get educated about it either. stare

Should we make a list of banned books that are worth reading?

using namespace std; int main () { First amendment--freedom of the press. However, yes, it is illegal; not to read, simply to buy, own, or possess it. ^_^
return 0; }

Kazemuki using namespace std; int main () { First amendment--freedom of the press. However, yes, it is illegal; not to read, simply to buy, own, or possess it. ^_^
return 0; } Yet that violates your rights, and if you got to the supreme court, you would without question win. So I don't think you'll get arrested for reading it...

using namespace std; int main () { Oh, no, of course not--it hasn't been enforced in years. It's just that no one's gotten around to appealing the law as of yet.return 0; }
