The Sand burnt the pads of his paws, scarring them horribly. they made his poor, dark, and scarred body ache. Shifting his weight as he walked, the sand slowly turned to grass and his pawpads sung out in glee. Sure, Keahi wasn't with him -and- he'd abandoned his quest to slay his mother, but it was no longer interesting. The heat was no longer worth it, so he found a nice place to sit in and rest his body in the shade, sprawling his limbs out to rest his head on them.
"Wheee!" The maned wolf bounded ahead of her companion, her white paws beating against the grass before rolling a bit, bidding her hyena friend to come and romp with her. Lifting her red-maned head, she batted her eyelashes at him, "Franky! You're so slooooooooooow~~!" she taunted in a sing-song tone, the green stalks of grass brushing against her light colored body.
Kati'Furamu, AKA 'Franky' as he'd often been shortened to, sauntered through the grass at his own pace, watching his female companion play in the grass as happily as when they had met as children. He smirked a bit at her mirth, sauntering to her side before pushing all of his weight onto her, to topple her over, before running off into the grass.
"Suuuuuppppppppppppppppeeeeeeerrrrrrr!" he yelled, before toppling over a dark body he hadn't seen laying in the grass.
Hissing as something was flung over his body, Pyralis lifted his dark head and snapped at the teal-colored tail that was within his reach.
"Oi. Watch where you're going!" he hissed authoritatively. Now looking at what had tripped over him, he realized that, of all things, it was a hyena, which brought a sort of a 'WTF' expression to his face. He thought hyena's were black and white and lived in graveyards, not....teal fieldroamers.
Prodding lightly at the hyena with a paw, he made a face. "What the...?"
CHOMP!! Mettie dug her teeth into Pyralis's paw, shaking it in her jaws, before trotting over to hoard the larger mass of Franky underneath her, practically sitting on the hyena. "Yoh! Shove off, assface! It was an a-c-c-i-d-e-n-t!" she hissed at him, before licking the top of her hyena's head, then leering at the black lion.
"Got it?"
Franky moved his hiney away before a piece of it could be taken out, his face contorting a bit, before he went to n** at Pyralis's paw, just to find Mettie had gotten to it first, willing being sat on by the maned wolf when she came to hoard him to herself.
The slip of the swear kicked a wince in response from Franky. Swearfest, ho!
Leaning back as the female suddenly snapped in his face, Pyralis rubbed his slightly injured paw, before hissing at the maned wolf. "Stay out of this, b***h." he growled, narrowing his eyes, before flumping into the grass again, mentally hoping the female would leave.
However, when he opened his eyes, he found that they were still sitting there, the white female making a face at him.
"Excu~~~~~se me?" she pipped, sitting up proudly and ruffling her chest fluff. "I'm not the one assaulting your friends, so shut up ********!" she decreed before hopping off of Franky to go stick her nose up in Pyralis's face, the fur along her spine sticking up awkwardly.
"Honestly. You damned dictators of liontards think that we need to look out for your little balls when your laying your hugeass bodies out in the ******** general populace's way!!"
Franky winced again as Mettie's tongue went off in a swearfest, his ears flattening back into his fur. Sometimes she was just so -angry-. Okay, so maybe that was -most- of the time, she was angry...
He watched for a bit as Mettie got up in the lion's face, growling, hissing, and spitting fire (practically) at him, causing him a bit of concern for the little maned wolf going up verbally against a larger beast.
"Mettie..." he said, pushing his weight up to go and step in-between the two looming figures, hoping not to incite the female's wrath down upon him.
When the talkback started, Pyralis leaned away, having never met a female with that sort of a tongue attached to her, and hissing slightly at the female's angry spout. Pyralis let out a roar as he got into Mettie's face, nearly clamping his jaws down over the female's white nose.
"Shut up, woman." he repeated, holding up one paw, his claws unsheathing. "Or these will meet your skin." he threatened.
Mettie leaned back as the male beathed in her face, squinching her nose at the horrible stench. Ycccccck!
"Dear -god-. What on -earth- did you EAT?" she spewed, batting a paw in front of her nose, before turning to run from him, only after sinking her teeth into his paw again.
Nudging Franky as she started her bolt, she also ordered: "Franky: Move -NOW-!"
The second Mettie moved, Franky was ready to go, turning tail and booking it alongside his maned wolf friend. She was going to be the -death- of him.
"Why do you always do this???" he barked at her while looking over one shoulder to see if they'd lose the angry male lion or not.
They hadn't.
Pyralis let out an angry hiss as they female bit him again, shaking his paw, before taking after the fleeing pair, desiring to rip them apart if he caught them. He'd only been trying to relax and they'd -RUINED- it.
"Get back here!!" he growled, pausing only once he'd realized he'd lost them, turning his head from side to side to try and spot their rather obvious colored bodies.. how'd he manage to -lost- them??
Mettie couldn't help but cackle in glee as she ran with Franky. "It's beautiful, Franky! And I do it because they deserve it!" she answered, ducking into a hole under the roots of a tree, shifting so he could git in with her while they caught their breath.
"Now be quiet so we don't get caught, alright?" she offered quietly, pressing a paw over his mouth to keep him quiet.
Falling silent as Mettie pressed a paw over his mouth, he waited until the sound of the angry lion had passed, before he crawled out, waiting for his childhood partner in crime to join him.
"We better get moving before he comes back." he whispered, turning to head back into the grassy plains.
He didn't find the pair in his chasings, continuing on for a while, only to find that those idiotic creatures had gotten him lost into foreign lands.
"Oh, I'll kill them.." he hissed, finding another spot of shade to rest in. He'd find them later.
Mettie followed after Franky with a happy bounce, tail wagging back and forth as she walked. "Well, -that- was a good adventure!" she chimed, bumping her shoulder against that of her hyena friend's, before trotting off a bit ahead of him.
"Hey Franky??" she asked, looking over one shoulder with a slight tilt of the head, "Can we go find a water hole?"
Franky trotted along, looking down at Mettie when she popped up in inquiry about water. Bumping his shoulder back against hers, he replied:
"Alright, alright. We'll go do that next. But please.." he trailed off a bit, then laughed. "Don't cause another problem, alright, Captain?" he begged, adding Mettie's birth 'name' to the mix, before running off ahead of her with a loud laughing howl, his maned wolf tagging along with him with a cry of
"SUUUUPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRR!!"
